Pitch Curator prepared to fix India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI?

It’s a gentleman’s game. The English did play that way, while the Aussies played their way. India rose to the top rankings, while Pakistan’s became the worst among the top 8. While the ICC and national cricket boards are busy in trying to eliminate ‘Fixing’ from the game of cricket, the Bookies have other plans for them. The bookies reportedly decided the ‘nature of the pitch’ prepared for the India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI in Pune.

BCCI dismissed Pune’s MCA Ground pitch curator Pandurang Salgaoncar after he was caught in a sting operation BY India today TV. Two media personnel visited Pandurang and said they were Bookies.

Pitch Curator prepared to fix India vs New Zealand 2nd ODIIn the sting operation, media personnel was heard saying, ‘we want to know about the pitch. High bets are placed. We want it in favor of New Zealand’. Surprisingly the curator assured them that the pitch will be a ‘high-scorer’, with a first innings total of around 335+. 

The duo was allowed to even tap the pitch along with the curator (no outsider is allowed near the pitch as per rules). India Today TV has released the footage with few edits. ICC, BCCI, and MCA are have laid an inquiry respectively into the events. BCCI termed this as ‘malpractice’ while suspending the curator.
