Facebook is receiving shock after shock after the Cambridge Analytica data scandal broke out. Thanks to whistleblowers, the whole world came to know that Cambridge Analytica, a political consulting firm, has harvested the data of 50 million Facebook users illegally. Most of these accounts, in fact, 99% of these accounts belong to Americans, who cast their vote in the historic 2016 US Presidential Elections.

Adding to the list of woes Facebook is going through, famous international publication, Playboy Magazine, has reportedly deleted its official Facebook page, further indicating the ‘lack of trust’ in the social networking giant. In a statement released by the company’s Chief Creative Officer, Cooper Hefner, son of Playboy Magazine founder Hugh Hefner, said:

“Facebook’s content guidelines and corporate policies continue contradicting our values. We’ve tried to craft our voice for the platform, which in our opinion continues to be sexually repressive. Learning of the recent meddling in a free U.S. election further demonstrates another concern we have of how they handle users’ data – more than 25 million of which are Playboy fans – making it clear to us that we must leave the platform”.This comes as the biggest shock as far as publication houses are concerned. Playboy Magazine commands over 100 million fans throughout the world.
