Political Concerns Over Electoral Roll Revision in Telangana:
Political party leaders have expressed their reservations about the summary revision of electoral rolls.
Ponna Venkat Ramana, a member of the BJP state Election Commission affairs committee, raised concerns that residents of Rangareddy and Malkajgiri districts were included as voters in the Hyderabad district.
G. Niranjan, the senior vice president of the Telangana Congress, questioned the rationale behind numerous amendments made after the publication of the electoral rolls.
The CPI(M) city secretary voiced dissatisfaction with the effectiveness of the electoral roll purification process. Additionally, members of political parties called on the authorities to distribute polling slips well in advance of the polling day rather than just before.
