Tamil director Shankar’s latest film 2.0 has already created a sensation. Let it be its budget, star cast or the audio launch event in Dubai, everything has been sensational. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar are playing the lead roles in the film. The film was initially slated to release for 2017 Diwali. It was later postponed to 26th January 2018 citing delay in Visual effects, on which the film greatly depends upon.
Recently, the production unit officially announced that the film is slated to release on 29th April 2018 for better incorporation of visual effects. The latest buzz is that Lyca Productions which is producing the film is looking to file a suit on the Visual Effects company that is working for the 2.0 movie.
‘Due to the delay in release, we are facing crores of loss every day. If the Visual Effects company would have given the output according to plan, we would have released the film for Republic Day, 26th January 2018. Because of the Visual Effects company’s delay, we are forced to postpone the film. We are filing a suit which asks the Visual Effects company to bear the loss incurred due to their delay,’ said a representative of Lyca Productions.
