Mega-Powerstar Ramcharan Tej is likely to take over Mahesh Babu. His recent film ‘Rangasthalam 1985’ under the direction of Sukumar is expected to release in the end of March 2018, so as to avoid a clash with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s tentatively titled film, ‘Agnathavasi’.
The latest buzz is that ‘Rangasthalam 1985’ has reportedly raked 16 Crores for its Telugu Satellite rights, which is more than Baahubali’s (15 Crore) Satellite rights and mostly like to surpass Mahesh Babu’s Sypder movie satellite rights.
Sypder movie satellite rights were sold for 25 Crores to Zee Television for Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. With Ramcharan’s ‘Rangasthalam 1985’ raking up 16 crores only for its Telugu version, purchase by a reputed organization, it is likely to take over Spyder’s satellite rights.
Ramcharan has a decent market in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi industry. Though his Bollywood film ‘Zanjeer (2013)’, the Telugu hero is well-known to the Hindi audience for his action sequences and fights in that movie. In Tamil, his movies like Magadheera, Orange, Yevadu, and Racha have generated decent business. While in Mollywood, his films fared well at the box office.
With his decent popularity across the southern states, and in Bollywood, ‘Rangasthalam 1985’ satellite rights for Telugu and other languages when combined are likely to touch the 27-28 crore mark, surpassing Sypder’s 25 Crores.
