Former Minister T Harish Rao strongly criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of being the most uncivilized and indecent Chief Minister in the country. Speaking at a preparatory meeting for the Mahabubabad parliamentary constituency in Bhadrachalam, Harish Rao expressed his dissatisfaction with the Chief Minister’s communication style, describing it as “barbaric” and “uncultured,” which, according to him, tarnishes Telangana’s image.
Harish Rao urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who often speaks about ethics, to advise Revanth Reddy on his language and behavior. He noted that the Chief Minister’s recent statement, linking the implementation of the six guarantees to Rahul Gandhi becoming the Prime Minister, was impractical. Harish Rao referred to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement that Congress could barely win 40 seats, suggesting that the party coming to power at the Centre was highly unlikely.
The former minister emphasized the power of regional parties in fighting against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Leaders such as Mamata Banerjee, K Chandrashekhar Rao, and Arvind Kejriwal have the strength to challenge the BJP, according to Harish Rao. He asserted that only members of the BRS (Bharatiya Rythu Struggle) would genuinely advocate for Telangana’s interests in Parliament.
Harish Rao accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of misleading the public during a meeting in Adilabad by stating incorrect figures about the state’s debt. He pointed out that the previous debt was Rs. 3.87 lakh crore, while Revanth Reddy claimed it was Rs. 7 lakh crore. Harish Rao demanded an explanation for how the government incurred Rs. 14,000 crore in debt in less than two months.
The former minister warned that if the government did not implement the crop loan waiver before the notification of Parliament elections, the people would teach the party a lesson. He also criticized the Congress government for handing over projects in the Krishna basin to the Centre, potentially leading to water problems in the state.
The meeting was attended by MPs Vaddiraju Ravichandra and M Kavitha, MLC T Madhusudhan, MLA Dr T Venkat Rao, ex-MLA R Kantha Rao, and other party members.
Four individuals from Gujarat were apprehended by the Cyberabad police for duping individuals under the guise of offering ‘Data Entry Jobs’ and collecting money. The police confiscated six mobile phones, a laptop, and five debit cards from the accused, identified as Rahul Ashok Bhai Baviskar (25), Sagar Patil (24), Kalpesh Thorat (26), and Nilesh Patil (24).
The gang operated by creating a fake company called ‘Flora Solution’ and lured job seekers with promises of home-based data entry positions. The victims were then subjected to fraudulent practices, including rejection of completed assignments and extortion through fake legal notices, resulting in substantial financial losses for the victims. The cybercrime police have taken action against the culprits, who had carried out similar scams across the country.
