Public Power: BJP Manifesto 2024 Gets a Democratic Twist
As part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) extensive campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects worth over ₹19,100 crore in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The party has introduced a new campaign slogan, “Modi ko chunte hai,” emphasizing the public’s choice for Prime Minister Modi.
In a unique and participatory move, the BJP is actively seeking input from the public to shape its 2024 election manifesto. This inclusive approach aims to engage citizens in the political process, with the BJP encouraging people to share their thoughts and suggestions through various platforms. Prime Minister Modi personally invited the youth to contribute to the BJP manifesto via the NaMo App, emphasizing the collaborative relationship between the government and the people.
As a demonstration of this commitment to public participation, the BJP is open to suggestions on a wide range of issues. Comments on the blog post and app include calls for incentives for population control, improvements in education and employment, better healthcare facilities, support for agriculture and farmers, and various economic and governance-related proposals.
The BJP has also released a campaign song titled “Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hai” (We don’t weave dreams but reality, and that’s why everyone chooses Modi). The song highlights how Prime Minister Modi has translated the dreams and aspirations of millions of Indians into reality, transforming the country’s situation and leading it on a path of development.
In a bid to connect with the youth, PM Modi addressed the First Time Voters Conclave, encouraging young voters to join the MY Bharat organization and share their views for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He underscored the importance of each vote in shaping the direction of India, especially as the country aspires to become a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India) by 2047.
This dynamic and participatory campaign showcases the BJP’s commitment to inclusive governance, considering the voices and aspirations of the citizens in the formulation of their election agenda.
Impact of Maha Lakshmi Scheme Hits inter-State Operators
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) buses are currently operating at full capacity due to the introduction of the government’s ‘Maha Lakshmi Scheme’ free travel for women initiative.
However, this program has started to impact buses operated by neighboring Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka States. Officials note a decrease in the Seat Occupancy Ratio in buses from these states running to and from Telangana. Simultaneously, the number of passengers in TSRTC Super Luxury buses within the state is decreasing, while footfall in express services is on the rise.
TSRTC and Andhra Pradesh RTC buses operate between Hyderabad and cities like Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Ongole, Tirupati, and Kurnool. Buses from Andhra Pradesh also travel to and from Khammam, Mahabubnagar, and Nizamabad. Both states have buses connecting to places like Bengaluru, Bidar, and Raichur in Karnataka.
Women with valid identity proof showing a state address enjoy free travel in TSRTC Palle Velugu and Express buses until the state borders. Consequently, women travelers to neighboring states are trying to minimize their travel expenses.
“We’ve noticed that on the Hyderabad to Vijayawada route, women are traveling for free and only buying a ticket after Kodad. This is a daily occurrence, and with free travel, the cost is reduced by Rs 300 per person,” stated a senior RTC official.
The impact of the Maha Lakshmi scheme on buses traveling from AP to the border districts of Telangana is also significant. Passenger traffic in buses from Rajahmundry and Vijayawada to Madhira, Sathupalli, and Khammam in Telangana has decreased.
Bidar in Karnataka is approximately 143 km from Hyderabad, with over 110 km of it in Telangana. The passenger rush in TSRTC buses on this route has notably increased, with women passengers benefiting from the free service until the border and then purchasing a ticket only for the part in Karnataka.
Telangana State Legislative Assembly: Next Session Announcement Soon, Says Uttam
Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy announced on Thursday that the next session of the State Legislative Assembly would be convened soon. The schedule for the session will be announced shortly.
As the Minister in-charge of Karimnagar, he conducted a review with elected representatives from the district at his Secretariat chambers. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar was also present at the review.
During the discussion, he mentioned that the vigilance report on the sagging of Medigadda barrage pillars is expected to be ready by the upcoming Legislative Assembly session. He highlighted that the preliminary inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the construction of barrages for the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation scheme is currently in progress.
Expressing confidence in the Congress’ performance, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the party aims to secure at least 13 out of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana. He dismissed the BRS theory of a comeback in the Parliamentary polls, emphasizing that the main competition would be between the Congress and the BJP, with the BRS not being a significant factor.

Animal OTT Release Date Confirmed Officially

Tollywood Comedian Prudhvi Raj Joins Jana Sena Party
Telugu comedian Prudhvi Raj officially joined the Jana Sena party in a ceremony attended by Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday.
Pawan Kalyan warmly welcomed him into the party by draping a Jana Sena scarf around his neck. Prudhvi Raj’s wife and daughter also attended the event.
Previously, in 2018, Prudhvi Raj had joined the YSRCP, and after the party came to power in Andhra Pradesh, he was appointed as the chairman and director of the Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) in 2019.
However, he had to step down from the chairman post in 2020 following the circulation of an audio tape involving the actor.
