Kiara Advani reveals her superstition on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

Mumbai, May 11 Bollywood actress Kiara Advani, who is appearing on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her new film, reveals how she is just superstitious about one thing in life.

She is coming with co-actors Kartik Aaryan and Rajpal Yadav along with director Anees Bazmee.

After making her debut in the comedy film ‘Fugly’, Kiara played a supporting role in the sports biopic ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. She also got an appreciation for the anthology film ‘Lust Stories’. The actress also rose to fame with her roles in Telugu political thriller ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ and the Hindi films such as ‘Kabir Singh and ‘Shershaah’.

In conversation with host Kapil Sharma, Kiara said: “I am not at all superstitious, except for one thing. I believe that till the time I don’t actually sign a film, I won’t tell anyone.”

To this Archana Puran Singh complimented Kiara on being wise.

IPL 2022: Lost focus in the first six overs while trying to finish the game, admits Ishan Kishan

Mumbai, May 11 (IANS) Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper-opener Ishan Kishan admitted that he had lost his focus from giving good starts in the first six overs to be a finisher for his side in IPL 2022.

Kishan had started the tournament with a bang, with scores of 81 not out and 54 in the first two matches.

But soon he fell into a rough patch, as seen from his scores of 14, 23, 3, 13, 0, and 8. With Mumbai now out of contention for the playoffs, it seems that Kishan is trying to get back to the style which had fetched him success in the past, chipping in with scores of 51, 45, and 26 in the last three matches.

“What worked well for me was, initially when I started the tournament, I wasn’t over-thinking, I was just going and batting like I used to do. My focus was on giving a good start to the team. But I think later on, somewhere I was trying to finish the game maybe I lost my focus in the first six overs,” said Kishan in the pre-match virtual press conference ahead of the match against Chennai Super Kings on Thursday.

Speaking to captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Mahela Jayawardene encouraged Kishan to get back to his free-flowing style of play. “I had a chat with the coach and captain also, and they just said, ‘If you can give us a good start, it will be helpful for the team, so you don’t have to think about finishing the game. If you are set there in the middle, you will anyway do that.’ So right now my focus is just on giving good starts and making sure that I don’t get out easily. And if I’m the set batsman in the middle, I’m making sure that I have to be someone who is there to finish the game.”

Many have linked Kishan’s downturn in the form to the ‘price-tag pressure’, pointing towards the Rs 15.25 crores paycheck at the IPL Mega Auction in February this year. Kishan acknowledged that the weight of the price tag existed in his mind initially but explained that he was able to shrug it off with some words of advice from Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya.

“Price tag pressure remains for a certain time and lasts for one or two days after the auction is done. At the level you’re playing and having played for a while, you know what is important. Do I keep that pressure on my mind or do I focus on how I can win matches for the team? The price tag pressure may be there for a while but if you have good seniors around you, who you can talk to there are so many senior players to talk to.”

“There’s Rohit Bhai, then Virat Bhai, Hardik Bhai, everyone told me the same thing. Don’t think too much about the price tag because this is not something I have asked for. It happened because someone had a belief in me. Instead of thinking about that (price tag), think of cricket and be in your zone. That is important. It’s possible they would’ve also faced such a situation before. How have they handled it then? These are things I’ve spoken about.”

“So now I feel very light and don’t even think about the price tag. It is secondary. Whether you’ve been sold for 1 crore, base price, or 15 crores – what matters is how you make the team win. Or if you’re not in form, how you’re helping others bring out their best,” concluded Kishan.

Jacqueline, who wants to attend the International Indian Film Academy Awards in Abu Dhabi, has approached the Patiala House Court seeking its nod for her visit to the UAE, France, and Nepal. The court will hear the matter on May 18.

The ED has interrogated Jacqueline multiple times and recorded her statement after her alleged friendship with multi-millionaire conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar came to light.

In the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Chandrashekhar, the ED had last month attached gifts and properties worth Rs 7 crore given to Jacqueline. The ED termed these gifts and properties as proceeds of crime received by the Sri Lankan actress.

In February this year, the agency had filed a supplementary charge sheet against Pinky Irani, an alleged aide of Chandrashekhar who had introduced him to Fernandez.

It has been alleged that Irani used to choose costly gifts for Jacqueline and later drop them at her house after the payments were made by Chandrashekhar. Chandrashekhar spent around Rs 20 crore on different models and Bollywood celebrities.

Mumbai, May 11 Hollywood star Tom Cruise says he “really rallied hard” for actor Val Kilmer to appear in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’.

The Hollywood star, who brought to life Lt Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, really wanted the man who played his on-screen rival Lt Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky to come back for the sequel.

“I really rallied hard for him to make the movie,” the ‘Vanilla Sky’ star told Entertainment Tonight of the ‘Batman Forever’ actor, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The 59-year-old Tom praised 62-year-old Kilmer’s “talent” and how they made a very “special” scene together. He said, “The kind of talent that he has, and you see that scene, it’s very special, it’s just very special,” he continued speaking of a powerful scene in the film.

In 2021, ‘Maverick’ producer Jerry Bruckheimer echoed the sentiment, saying that Tom “really wanted” Val to join in with the flick. He said, “‘We have to have Val, we have to have him back. We have to have him in the film.'”

“And he was the driving force. We all wanted him, but Tom was really adamant that if he’s going to make another ‘Top Gun’, Val had to be in it,” Jerry added.

“He’s such a fine actor, and he’s such a good individual. We had such a good time on the first one and wanted to bring some of the gang back together again.”

Jerry also labelled their coming back together on-set as “very emotional” for the pair and production. He said, “It was a really emotional experience for all of us. It was a long time getting there, but we did.”

‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is due to hit theaters on May 27 after making the rounds at the Cannes Film Festival.

Superstar Mahesh Babu produced the movie ‘Major’, by using GMB Entertainments. The trailer launch tournament was once held on the ninth of May Monday. At that event, Mahesh made many fascinating remarks.

Mahesh stated, “I noticed the Major movie yesterday, and there are quite a few goosebumps-inducing sequences. I had a massive lump in my throat, particularly in the ultimate 30 minutes, and I am now not exaggerating.”

My thanks to the movie crew for bringing it in. They’ve been thanking me for being a phase of it for two years. Now I’m grateful to them for making such a superb film.

You have no longer tried the Pan India film as an actor. How does it experience to be a producer for Pan Indian cinema?

Mahesh: The reply to all this is the story. As a producer for this film, I used to go to the units each and every now and then. Co-producers Anurag and Sarath are proud to categorical that they regard Sesh to be a hero. I loved his overall performance in the movie ‘Goodachari.’

After staring at the movie, would it be proper if you acted in it?

Mahesh: No, some tales are written for particular people. They are given to those who will do them justice. I’m now not egocentric sufficient to agree with we’re successful in doing so until we love witnessing matters like this. I have to do my very own films and simply watch the relax and enjoy.

About the launch of trailers in Hindi and Malayalam with Salman Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Mahesh: That’s a wild lingering idea. We deliberate this with the concept that a correct film will attain greater humans if it is launched with the superstars of the respective industries.

Did this movie obtain OTT offers?

Mahesh: Many OTT agencies have placed giant presents for this film. But none of us choose to see this film launched on OTT. Sony Pictures has stood with the aid us regardless of a couple of challenges posed by using Covid / Lockdown.

Is there any threat of a biopic of your father, Superstar Krishna Sir, being made?

Mahesh: As I have said, I would be joyful to see anybody portray my father in a biopic (laughs).  I can’t able to do so because he is my God.

santoor player ‘Pandit Shivkumar Sharma’ has passed away.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was an Indian composer and santoor player from Jammu. The santoor is originally a folk instrument but became an instrument for Indian classical through his internationally recognized playing style.

Shivkumar Sharma was born in Jammu to the singer Uma Dutt Sharma, and his mother tongue is Dogri. His father started teaching him vocals and tabla when he was just five. Shivkumar started learning santoor at the age of thirteen. He married Manorama and has two sons.

Shivkumar Sharma is credited with making the santoor a popular classical instrument. He composed the background music for one of the scenes in Shantaram’s film Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje in 1956. He recorded his first solo album in 1960.

In 1967, he teamed up with flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia and guitarist Brij Bhushan Kabra to produce a concept album, Call of the Valley (1967), which turned out to be one of Indian classical music’s greatest hits. Further, he composed music for many Hindi films in collaboration with Hariprasad Chaurasia, starting with Silsila in 1980. They came to be known as the Shiv-Hari music duo. Some of the movies they composed music for were musical hits, such as Faasle (1985), Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991), and Darr (1993).

He died today On 10 May 2022, at the age of 84, due to cardiac arrest. may his soul rest in peace.

According to the sources, it seems difficult to release on the announced date. because of shooting got delayed so first planned release date was postponed due to the pandemic situation. And there are a few difficulties while shooting, as Akhil got injured during the shoot. So the movie was delayed to complete as per the schedule.

Director Surender Reddy is going to show Agent to be a stylish action flick. Agent is the first pan India film for Akkineni’s family. so fans of Akhil Akkineni have to wait for a few more months for the movie.
