M.S. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi put out a heartfelt message for her husband on her Instagram handle after the former announced his retirement from international cricket.

Dhoni in a message on his own Instagram handle, posted a video montage of images from different points of his career to announce that he has called time on his illustrious international career.

“You should be proud of what you have achieved. Congratulations on giving your best to the game. I am proud of your accomplishments and the person you are! I am sure you must have held those tears to say goodbye to your passion. Wishing you health, happiness, and wonderful things ahead! #thankyoumsd #proud People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Sakshi quoted Maya Angelou in a caption to a picture that showed Dhoni from the back looking up at the sky.

The 39-year-old former India captain said in his caption to the video he uploaded on Saturday that he has retired from the game. “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic),” he wrote.

Considered one of the most successful captains of all time in international cricket, Dhoni led the Indian team to victory in the 2007 World T20, which was also his first assignment as skipper of the team in any format, the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

As a Test captain, he also led the team to the number one spot in the ICC rankings for the first time ever in 2009. He is also the only captain to win all three ICC trophies. He has also led India to victories in the Asia Cup in 2010 and 2016.

India records 63,489 new corona cases, 944 more fatalities

With a single-day spike of 63,489 coronavirus cases, India’s total tally reached 25,89,682 even as its death toll climbed up to 49,980 with 944 more fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) data said on Sunday.

Of the total cases, 6,77,444 are still active. A total of 18,62,258 coronavirus patients has recovered so far, including 53,322 who won the battle against the virus in the last one day.

The fatality rate — the proportion of people who die of the disease among individuals diagnosed — dropped to 1.93 percent, the Ministry said, adding that the recovery rate had gone up to 71.91 percent.

Maharashtra remained the worst-hit state with 1,56,719 active cases, of which 4,854 came up in the last one day. The state recorded 6,844 more recoveries, taking the total cured patients to 4,08,286. As many as 19,749 patients have succumbed to Covid-19 in Maharashtra so far, including 322 in the last one day.

Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka followed with 88,138 and 81,284 active cases respectively. Andhra Pradesh reported 1,769 new cases, while Karnataka reported 2,075 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.

India has been reporting over 60,000 cases daily since August 7, barring August 11 when the country registered 53,601 new coronavirus infections.

A total of 7,46,608 samples were tested for coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total samples tested to 2,93,09,703. Of the 1,469 labs in the country, 969 are government-run and 500 in the private sector.

Of the total 1,469 labs, Real-Time RT PCR can be conducted in 754 labs. A total of 598 labs are carrying out TrueNat Test and the remaining 117 CBNAAT Test, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data said.

Globally, India remains the third worst-hit nation, with the US and Brazil in the first and second positions with 53,61,165 and 33,17,096 corona cases respectively. The global tally is 2,14,59,699 cases.

The Covid-19 fatalities across the world total 7,71,063, with 1,69,481 deaths in the US alone and another 1,07,232 fatalities in Brazil. Mexico has reported the third-highest death toll at 56,543.

Galaxy Note 20 preorders similar to predecessor in South Korea

The preorders of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 have almost matched its predecessor in South Korea despite the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Galaxy Note 20 preorders in the last seven days were about 90 percent of the Galaxy Note 10 over the same period, according to officials from local mobile carriers and Samsung Electronics.

The pre-order sales for Note 10 reached about 1.3 million units last year, the largest among Samsung’s flagship Galaxy devices.

But then, the preorder period was 11 days, while mobile carriers boosted marketing with fat subsidies to attract more customers with the commercialization of 5G networks.

Industry insiders said the preorder result for Note 20 appears to be positive considering the virus outbreak and less marketing activity from local mobile carriers, report Yonhap news agency.

By model, the high-end Note 20 Ultra reportedly accounted for 65 percent of the preorders.

Mystic bronze appears to be the most selected color for the device.

In India, Samsung said that the pre-registration for its ‘Make in India Galaxy Note20 smartphone crossed more than 5 lakh this year, which is more than double the figure the company achieved last year with Galaxy Note10.

The 6.7-inch Galaxy Note20 (8GB+256GB) was launched at the original price of Rs 77,999 while the 6.9-inch Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G (12GB+256GB) is available for Rs 104,999 in the country.

BEL supplies 30K ventilators in 4 months amid corona pandemic

Contributing its share to the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, state-run Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has rolled out a whopping 30,000 ventilators in four months to treat Covid-19 patient across the country, an official said on Sunday.

“We have delivered 30,000 ventilators in a record time of four months for intensive care units (ICUs) in state-run hospitals across the country for treating Covid-19 patients and make India self-reliant in high-end medical equipment,” the official of the city-based defense behemoth told IANS here.

The Health Ministry had in April placed an order with the BEL to make 30,000 ICU ventilators to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure for combating the coronavirus pandemic across the country.

The ventilators were made in collaboration with the Mysuru-based Skanray Technologies Ltd under a licensing agreement while the state-run Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) provided the design.

“The indigenization efforts to make critical components such as medical-grade valves, oxygen sensors and flow sensors are a game-changer in becoming self-reliant in mature medical electronics systems,” asserted the official.

On receiving the order from the Ministry, the public sector enterprise had set up a production line in two weeks to roll out 500-1,000 ventilators a day.

Braving odds due to the COVID-induced lockdown restrictions that disrupted the supply chains, the ventilators were manufactured in record time with the support of the Karnataka government, which debuted an IAS officer to resolve issues with the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in making its components.

“Feedback from doctors and hospitals enabled us to upgrade the ventilators with additional modes of operation through software for treating local patients,” the official added.

In a related development, the company has issued the request for proposal (RFP) to supply 5 import-substitute products (components) as part of the government’s self-reliance initiative.

The products to be made in the country by Indian firms are brazing wire, motion platform, 6 degrees of freedom and payload 1000-2000kg, dummy weapons for small-arm simulators, single-board computers, and 62X day zoom lens.

Brazing wires are special alloys, imported from Germany and the US, and used in the vacuum brazing process to join dissimilar metals parts in medical devices like X-ray and MRI machines.

Motion platform and 6 degrees of freedom and payload 1000-2000 kg is a critical sub-assembly for vehicular simulators, being imported from Australia.

Dummy weapons are critical components for various small-arms training simulators, imported from Sweden.

“The simulator allows the user to choose any firing position, be it standing, kneeling or lying down. A number of such simulators can be installed for collective training,” said the official.

The single-board computer is a system controller module for an indigenously designed, manufactured ELINT System (electronic intelligence) deployed on the borders. The board is imported from the US.

The 2X day zoom lens is a part of the long-range day surveillance equipment, imported from the US for the Army and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mata Vaishno Devi temple reopens for devotees after 4 months

After four months the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine was reopened for devotees on Sunday, officials said.

“Two thousand pilgrims will only be allowed to proceed to the shrine daily from today.

“Out of these, 100 would be from outside J&K and 1,900 devotees would be locals. All outsiders will have to undergo the Covid-19 test before they are allowed to undertake the trek to the shrine.

“Thermal scanners have been installed at different places on the trek to Mata’s Shrine. No helpers or ponies will be allowed to move with the devotees who will have to walk the entire trek from Katra base camp”, officials said.

Religious places in J&K were closed following the Covid-19 outbreak. And, in view of this, a pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi was suspended four months back.

The shrine situated on the Trikuta Hills in Reasi district of Jammu division is the most thronged religious place in J&K.

Before the pandemic, over 2.40 crore devotees have been visiting the shrine each year.

Dhoni was not the highest scorer in this match with Yuvraj Singh eventually winning Man of the Match for his unbeaten 60. But the wicketkeeper-batsman held up one end as Sehwag and later Yuvraj went big guns. By the time he fell, Sri Lanka had all but lost the game.

– 56 (36) vs England, Bengaluru 2017

This was the first T20I fifty for the former Indian captain and his highest score in the format. Here too, he held up one end as Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh decimated the England bowlers. India went on to post 202/6 and England was wiped out for 127, thanks to Yuzvendra Chahal’s six-wicket haul.

Why Indian firms must sanitise premises regularly after reopening

With the government easing restrictions and millions of companies reopen their operations in India with safety in mind, experts on Sunday stressed the enterprises, both big and small, must properly sanitize their premises before letting the staff enter and also maintain regular cleaning of offices to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

Several reports have shown where offices were forced to shut after reopening as corona cases were found in their buildings or independent floors, as they did not either follow proper health safety protocols or missed on maintaining “corona hygiene” at their premises.

According to Dr. Harshal R Salve, Associate Professor at All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, sanitization practices, use of masks, and maintaining physical distance is critical in the prevention of the spread of Covid-19 at the workplace.

“As people spend most of their time at the workplace, all these interventions are necessary to halt the pandemic in the country,” Salve said.

Speaking to IANS, sanitization expert Akash Saxena, Director at Top shield Group, said that with the outbreak of coronavirus and recent stage escalating to community spreading in various parts of our country, sanitization is the need of the hour to reduce the potential risk of the harmful virus.

“At Topshield, all premium disinfectants used are odorless. The use of high-quality Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved disinfectants allow no room for stains to be left on fabrics, furnishing, or important official documents,” he told IANS.

Sharing sanitizing tips to stop Covid-19 spread at the workplace, experts suggested that while sanitizing surfaces or hands, special caution and care should be taken as at times, sanitizers may get into the eyes.

According to Ikeda Lal, a senior ophthalmologist from Delhi Eye Centre and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, if sanitizer falls into your eyes accidentally, first and foremost, do not panic and stay calm.

“Resist the urge to rub your eyes. Wash your hands with soap and water to get rid of any excess sanitizer before touching your eyes and thoroughly wash your eyes with clean water,” she said, adding that consult an ophthalmologist immediately if irritation persists.

Anil Hota, CEO of SAR Cellulabs Pvt Ltd, a Gurugram based company, which offers a variety of services ranging from automatic thermal scanners for employees and installing sanitizer chambers, said that sanitizing the entire office before reopening is very important.

“We have an amalgamation of product offerings which deals right from tracking temperatures of individuals along with attendance to sanitization of individuals attire and the environment with COVID specific constituents,” Hota said.

Nine more Covid deaths, 1,102 new cases in Telangana

The Covid-19 tally of Telangana rose to 91,361 with 1,102 new cases reported on Sunday while nine more deaths pushed the death toll to 693.

The number of daily tests was reduced by over 8,000, resulting in less number of cases detected during the last 24 hours ending Saturday at 8 p.m.

A total of 39 testing laboratories and 323 rapid antigen testing centers conducted 12,120 tests against 21,239 tests conducted the previous day. The officials claim that the number of tests was still much higher than the state’s target of 5,600 as per the World Health Organisation (WHO) benchmark of 140 tests per million per day.

With this the number of tests conducted in the state so far mounted to 7,44,555. Samples tested per million population stands at 20,054. Test results of 1,046 samples were awaited.

Officials said 1,930 people recovered from Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 68,126.

With this, the state further improved its recovery rate to 74.56 percent against the national average of 71.6 percent. The number of active cases now stands at 22,542 including 15,502 who are in-home/institutional isolation.

The case fatality rate in the state stands at 0.75 percent against the national average of 1.94 percent. Officials said 53.87 percent of the deceased had comorbidities.

With less number of cases detected, the share of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) also slumped. The state capital reported 234 new cases against 394 cases the previous day. The new cases were reported from 32 out of 33 districts.

Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy bordering GHMC reported 63 and 81 cases respectively. Sangareddy, another district that shares borders with the state capital, reported 66 new infections.

Warangal Urban saw 70 new infections against 101 the previous day. Karimnagar reported 101 new cases. There were 28 new cases in Nalgonda, 46 in Khammam, 22 in Peddapalli, 13 in Suryapet, 16 in Jangaon, 17 in Jogulamba Gadwal and 30 in Siddipet.

Age-wise COVID positive details show that 65.9 percent of those tested positive were in the age group of 21-50 years. “In light of the high incidence of disease in this age group, people are requested not to go out, unless absolutely necessary. In case, they are required to go out, they should strictly exercise precautions like wearing a face mask and maintain physical distancing,” the bulletin said.

Among COVID positive, 24.4 percent are above 51 years of age. About 10 percent were aged below 20 years. “Children less than 10 years of age and elders above 60 years of age are to avoid going outdoors. They are to stay indoors,” it added.

Officials said 65.10 percent of those tested positive were male while the remaining 34.90 percent were female.

According to the media bulletin, out of 20,396 beds in the government-run hospitals, 17,780 beds were vacant.

While 120 private hospitals treating COVID have a total of 8,001 beds and out of the 3,577 beds were vacant.

Musk says Tesla app’s two-factor authentication ’embarrassingly’ late

Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to micro-blogging site Twitter to say that the company was embarrassingly late in rolling out a security layer known as two-factor authentication (2FA) for its mobile app.

Replying to a Twitter user, Musk said: “Sorry, this is embarrassingly late. Two-factor authentication via SMS or authenticator app is going through final validation right now.”

According to TechCrunch, Tesla CEO said recently that the additional security layer was “coming soon.”

He first mentioned that the company would add two-factor authentication back in May 2019. Tesla owners have stepped up their calls for two-factor authentication as the rest of the tech community has adopted the security feature.

Two-factor authentication – also known as two-step verification – is a way to verify that the real account holder or car owner is logging in and not a hacker.

“Some websites do this by sending you a code by text message. But hackers can intercept these. A more secure way of doing it is by sending a code through a phone app, often called an authenticator, which security experts prefer,” the report said.

The Tesla app is a critical tool for owners, giving them control over numerous functions on their vehicles.

When Bluetooth is enabled, the app allows drivers to use their phone as a key to Tesla’s newer vehicle models.

The app also lets the user remotely lock and unlock the doors, trunk, and frunk, turn on the HVAC system, monitor and control charging, locate the vehicle, and schedule service.

The grey sideburns might have worked as a reminder to the world every day that his time is over, but the decision was made by Dhoni on August 15, the day of India’s independence, that it is time to bid adieu to international cricket and watch the game from the other side of the fence.

He looked a pale shadow of his former self for a while, but that cannot take away what has been an illustrious career, first as a player and then as the leader of the pack.

From the inaugural World T20 triumph in 2007 to the fabled 2011 50-over World Cup win on home soil and then the 2013 Champions Trophy victory in England, Dhoni led by example and tasted the success which no other Indian captain has ever managed.

He even led India to the number one ranking, both in Test and ODI formats.

– 2007 World T20 final

With the seniors rested and under a new captain, no one really gave India a chance in a format that was new to them. India under Dhoni with the long hair then proved critics wrong with spectacular wins over England, South Africa, and Australia to reach the final where arch-rivals Pakistan awaited them.

It was a nerve-wracking summit clash and came down to Pakistan needing 13 runs from the final over. Of all people, Dhoni handed the ball to Joginder Sharma raising quite a few eyebrows.

Joginder was hit for a six by Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq in the second ball of the 20th over but what happened in the next ball will be remembered forever. Misbah went for a needless scoop shot over short fine leg but could only manage to find S. Sreesanth who took an easy catch and helped India win by 5 runs in the inaugural ICC World T20.

– 2011 World Cup final

Yuvraj Singh’s all-round brilliance had helped India reach the final on home soil. India had the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag opening the batting but chasing a challenging 275 for victory in the summit clash against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India lost both iconic openers inside 31 runs. Gautam Gambhir came out at No. 3 and batted brilliantly for his 97 but it was Dhoni’s masterstroke to push himself up the order and ahead of in-form Yuvraj which did the trick for India.

The Ranchi dasher smashed an unforgettable 91 off 79 balls including the winning six off Nuwan Kulasekara in the 49th over to lead India to a second World Cup crown. It was exceptional from Dhoni both in the mind and with the bat as he theatrically became part of cricketing folklore.

– 2013 Champions Trophy – Asking Rohit to open

Rohit Sharma has said time and again that Dhoni improved his ODI career by asking him to open the batting in the format before the 2013 Champions Trophy in England. Since opening the batting, Rohit has scaled heights in jet speed and can now be termed as one of the best opening batsmen in the game after his superlative performance in the 2019 World Cup where he not only finished as the highest run-getter but also scored a record five centuries.

Rohit, earlier in 2019, became the fastest to 6,000 runs as an opener in ODI cricket and now has 6,691 runs in 130 innings opening the batting.

– 2013 Champions Trophy – Handing Ishant Sharma the ball

A defining moment came in the rain-affected final of the Champions Trophy in Birmingham where Dhoni asked Ishant Sharma, who had been expensive before that, to bowl the 18th over and the tall pacer snared two wickets in two balls to break Eoin Morgan and Ravi Bopara’s 64-run stand and eventually helped India win the game and the coveted trophy.

It was not a tournament where India ended as champions, losing to West Indies in the semi-finals. But in his last ICC event as skipper, Dhoni was brilliant once again in leading the side and India’s one-run win over Bangladesh had a lot of Dhoni moments which will be remembered forever.

Hardik Pandya took three wickets off the last three balls as Bangladesh needed 11 runs in the final over chasing 147 for victory. Dhoni’s unbelievable stumping to remove Sabbir Rahman and his field placements in the final over and a run-out off the last ball were the highlights.

Struggling to tame the spread of misinformation on its platform, Facebook can better reduce the extent to which its users fall for and spread fake news articles by deploying a better designed fake news flag.

Researchers from the University of Texas at Austin found that although Facebook users may be too quick to believe or share misinformation, flagging fake news can also make a significant difference.

The new paper published in Information Systems Research studied what tools would help Facebook users spot fake news.

Lead author Tricia Moravec, an assistant professor in the McCombs School of Business, and co-authors, Antino Kim and Alan R Dennis of Indiana University found that two simple interventions, especially when combined, had a strong effect on helping people discern reality from fake news.

The first intervention the researchers tested was a stop sign icon.

The second was a strong statement, “Declared Fake by 3rd Party Fact-Checkers”.

Each intervention was effective, but when combined, they were almost twice as powerful.

“Ideally, we would see Twitter and especially Facebook use some type of flag for misinformation with a brief statement to nudge people to think more critically,” Moravec said.

Twitter has begun using labels and warning messages.

Facebook uses technology and fact-checkers to identify false information and moves the information lower in the News Feed so it’s less likely to be seen.

Facebook says that people who repeatedly share false news will see their distribution reduced and their ability to advertise removed.

“Twitter has been doing a much better job than Facebook at managing misinformation since they actively flag misleading information,” Moravec said.

“It is a good step that Facebook is taking to at least demote misinformation and punish repeat offenders, but based on the misinformation I have seen about COVID-19 on Facebook, I do not think their efforts are effective in managing misinformation on their platform”.

The proliferation of fake news on social media worsened during the 2016 election and has accelerated during the Covid-19 pandemic, feeding confusion and misinformation about matters that can have life-and-death consequences.

The researchers conducted several studies to see what would have the biggest impact on getting people to avoid spreading fake news.

They found that the combination of the stop sign, statement, and awareness training had the biggest impact.

Although the social network in December 2016 started flagging fake news with an icon combined with a brief warning statement, it stopped doing so about a year later.

Moravec said Facebook abandoned the fake news flag too soon and needs to try again.

We used the Gionee Watch 5 (GSW5) and Gionee Watch 4 (GSW4) for nearly a fortnight and this is what these devices offer.

Top Seed Open: Brady blitzes Gauff, sets up summit clash with Teichmann

American Jennifer Brady entered her first WTA singles final, following a straight-sets win over compatriot Coco Gauff in the semifinals of the Top Seed Open.

Brady defeated Gauff 6-2, 6-4 in 71 minutes on Saturday to break new ground in her career and set up a meeting with two-time WTA champion Jil Teichmann for the inaugural title at the event.

“I’ve been working really hard since the beginning of the year. I’ve been putting in a lot of hours on the practice courts and in the gym, and hopefully, everything just falls into place,” Brady said after the match as per the WTA website.

“Reaching a final at any tournament, I think, is a great opportunity. I’ve given myself the best opportunity, and hopefully, I come out and play well tomorrow,” she added.

Teichmann, meanwhile, would be playing her third career WTA final after powering past American wildcard Shelby Rogers in their semifinal clash.

World No.63 Teichmann recovered from an early break to record a commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory over Rogers.

“Everyone thinks I’m just a clay-court player,” Teichmann smiled in her post-match press conference. “I think I’ve proven that it’s not only this way,” she added.

Halep to face Mertens in Prague Open final

Top seed Simona Halep and Belgian Elise Mertens, seeded third, will meet in the summit clash of the WTA Prague Open following their respective wins in the semifinals.

Halep secured her second berth in a final this season with a 7-6(2), 6-3 victory over compatriot Irina-Camelia Begu on Saturday.

“I didn’t play my best tennis but also she was tired, so in my opinion, it was a good match,” Halep said in her on-court interview as per the WTA website. “I’m really happy that I could win it. It’s always tough to play against her. She’s a great player.”

On the other hand, Mertens went into the semifinal with a perfect record over her opponent Kristyna Pliskova, beating her in both previous meetings. However, she had to toil hard this time around as she defeated Pliskova 7-5, 7-6(4) in a match that lasted for almost two hours.

“It was a really close match, just a couple of points of difference,” said Mertens. “We both served well, so it was difficult to break each other, especially when our first service was in. She can hit balls either way, so it was difficult to get the point started.”

Halep owns a 3-1 head-to-head edge against Mertens, including a 2-0 mark on clay where she lost just six games in four combined sets.

“I played her at the Australian Open this year and it was a close one,” said Mertens about her meeting with Halep. “She’s in the final, so she’s got a lot of matches in and will be confident.

“I’ll try to improve, see what I can do better. I’ll try to do that today and tomorrow morning, but I’ll just try to focus on my main things: a good serve and a good return,” the Belgian added.

Uruguay international midfielder Giorgian de Arrascaeta struck a first-half goal as defending champions Flamengo secured their first win of the Brazilian Serie A season with a 1-0 victory at Coritiba.

Scientists decode how Covid-19 begins to appear in humans

Researchers have found the likely order in which Covid-19 symptoms first appear — fever, followed by cough, muscle pain, and then nausea, and/or vomiting and diarrhea.

Knowing the order of the Covid-19 symptoms may help patients seek care promptly or decide sooner than later to self-isolate.

According to the study, published in the journal Frontiers in Public Health, recognizing the order of symptoms also could help doctors plan how to treat patients, and perhaps intervene earlier in the disease.

“This order is especially important to know when we have overlapping cycles of illnesses like the flu that coincide with infections of Covid-19,” said study author Peter Kuhn from the University of Southern California in the US.

“Given that there are now better approaches to treatments for Covid-19, identifying patients earlier could reduce hospitalization time,” said another study author Joseph Larsen.

Fever and cough are frequently associated with a variety of respiratory illnesses, including Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

But the timing and symptoms in the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract set Covid-19 apart.

“The upper GI tract (i.e., nausea/vomiting) seems to be affected before the lower GI tract (i.e., diarrhea) in COvid-19, which is the opposite from MERS and SARS,” the scientists wrote.

The authors predicted the order of symptoms this spring from the rates of symptom incidence of more than 55,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in China, all of which were collected by the World Health Organization.

They also studied a dataset of nearly 1,100 cases collected from December 11, 2019, through January 29, 2020, by the China Medical Treatment Expert Group via the National Health Commission of China.

To compare the order of Covid-19 symptoms to influenza, the researchers examined data from 2,470 cases in North America, Europe, and the Southern Hemisphere, which were reported to health authorities from 1994 to 1998.

According to the researchers, the order of the symptoms matter.

“Knowing that each illness progresses differently means that doctors can identify sooner whether someone likely has Covid-19, or another illness, which can help them make better treatment decisions,” Larsen noted.
