It has been raining Biopics in Bollywood and is certainly a rage. Movies on sports
personalities to Bollywood superstars, Biopics are the flavor of the season. Though, with
the exception of hugely successful and critically acclaimed & Mahanati’s, Biopics mostly, so far at least, has been alien to Tollywood. But not anymore

The much hyped, talked about, written, discussed, though not without its share of
controversies, what with walking out of director Teja, the Biopic on N.T. Rama Rao has
literally become the talk of the town, with rumor mongering abuzz with who is playing
whom in the Biopic.

From Deepika Padukone zeroed to play Sri Devi, Tamanna Bhatia will essay the role of Jaya
Prada, and the Grandson of ANR, Naga Chaitanya, who played his Grand Father’s role in
Mahanati will supposedly play ANR again, to Vidya Balan being discussed to play NTR’s
wife’s role, and Rana Daggubati as Chandrababu Naidu, the endless story goes on.

Though, none of them are reported to have signed on the dotted line, the gossip mongers
are having a heyday on social media and digital platforms.

Now the breaking news is that Mahesh Babu, will play, yesteryears superstar, and his father Krishna’s role. It is being said that Mahesh has been approached for the same and he reportedly agreed to it. It is no brainer that NTR and Krishna have always been at loggerheads during the peak of their respective careers.

To refresh the memory of our readers, in the seventy’s NTR was planning to make a movie
on freedom fighter Alluri Seeta Rama Raju, but Krishna ended up doing it, later on, NTR
made Dana Veera Soora Karna and Krishna made Kurusketram and both were released
simultaneously on the same day. In the backdrop of that cold war between NTR and Krishna, it must be appreciated and commended that Mahesh Babu agreed and accepted to play his father in the Biopic; if at all this is true.
