In what could be the most disturbing revelation in Medical History, it was found that a nurse in Germany was responsible for deaths of more than 106 patients. Niels Hoegel 41 who is working as a Nurse at the Delmenhorst Hospital, Bremen was convicted on the charges of two murders in 2015 and four counts of attempt to murder.

The investigators looked deep into Hoegel’s profile and found out that he had murdered 90 patients. With further investigation going on it is likely that a number of deaths would be discovered as the investigative team is examining the patient’s records.

‘Between the years 1999 and 2005 Hoegel has was responsible for 16 deaths while he worked at two hospitals’ said the prosecutors.German Nurse Killed 100 People

During the investigation, Hoegel accepted that he injected the patients with a drug that can cause a heart failure and later behave as if he tried to save them. He also testified that he has committed these acts out of ‘Boredom’, and he felt excited and happy when he was able to revive the patients, and felt devastated when he failed.

The police authorities said, ‘this is a unique case in the history of the German Republic’ regarding the manner in which the deaths took place.
