A Bollywood film released in 2017 has caught the attention of Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates, entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor and author. Bill has endorsed 6 tweets from the year 2017. Everyone was shocked to see a film featuring in one of those tweets. That too a Bollywood movie!

In the list, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Toilet: A love Story’ stood at number two. Referring to the film, Bill said, ‘This Bollywood romance movie of a newly wedded couple is aimed at educating the Indians about the importance of sanitation in the nation.’

Bill Gates recently attended the Andhra Pradesh Agri Tech Summit on November 17th, 2017. During his visit to India, Bill Gates spoke about various challenges in sanitation in India and globally. The tech giant founder also went on to say that they have invested in technology that aims to process domestic water for edible purposes.

Bill Gates said that ‘these tweets made me feel better in 2017, and I’m being more optimistic about 2018’.

The film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ (Toilet: A Love Story) was directed by Shree Narayan Singh and written by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar played the leading roles in the film. The film which was produced on a budget of 18 crores, went on to collect 200+ crores at the box office.
