“I am told not to question, but I strongly believe that we represent this beautiful association and we as players surely deserve to know why, and where we lack, or else our careers are just going to end wondering why selectors should be transparent,” Sheldon ended by tweeting the third. Consumption of diet drink a day causes a risk in early death

All-new study by the World Health Organisation (WHO) now became aware that just 2 glasses of diet drink a day increases the chances of risk for an early death. The universal study, involving more than 450,000 adults in 10 countries, found that daily utilization of all kinds of diet drinks are associated with a greater chance of dying early in age.

The examination and the report were published in the JAMA Internal Medicine journal and is the largest report to examine the connection between soft drink accumulation and mortality. However, the rates for those drinking unnatural-sweetened drinks were remarkably higher than those consuming full sugar versions of drinks.

As claimed by the scientists from the WHO International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, it would be harsh to cut down all beverages and have water instead. Moreover, experts delivering the speech at the European Society of Cardiology which is located in Paris conveyed that people should ‘abolish’ soft drinks from their diet completely.

JioFiber hybrid Set Top Box leaks on web: HDMI port, USB ports, universal remote controller

reliance’s Jio GigaFiber broadband has been in the limelight for a while, even before it was unveiled back on August 12. Now known as JioFiber, the broadband service is expected to make high-speed home broadband much cheaper for the consumers. However, Jio also announced its foray into the DTH operator segment with a feature-rich Set Top Box that promised to offer a complete home entertainment experience. At the AGM event, Jio didn’t show the Set Top Box during the demo but thanks to leaks, we have a fair idea of what it looks like.

And to be honest, it simply looks like just another Set Top Box you get from existing DTH operators. Jio announced that Set Top Box will be able to offer more than just TV services and hence, expectations for the box to look like a big console were high. However, the leaked image of the hybrid Set Top Box by Dream DTH tells a completely different story, one that may lead to people doubt whether all of those fancy Jio services will be available during the launch of the service or not.

The photo shows a simple dark blue narrow Set Top Box with a massive Jio logo in the top. At the back, there are a couple of essential ports that include two USB ports, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also a port for the cable connections.

Apart from the box, the leaked images also show the remote controller and even that looks similar to the controllers from Tata Sky or any other DTH operator. The only difference is that you can see a few dedicated buttons for some Internet services, including one for JioCinema. Another image shows that the Jio Set Top Box is drawing its cable TV service from DEN Networks, a cable service that Reliance acquired controlling stakes in not long ago. It is expected that Hathway TV subscribers can also keep using their connection with the Jio Set Top Box.

All these confusions should clear up once Jio launches the service commercially on September 5.

BJP looks for new leader in Telangana

The two-year term of the BJP’s current Telangana president, K. Laxman, will end in the next few months

Among the names that are doing rounds as possible replacement for Laxman are BJP MLC N Ramchander Rao, DK Aruna, and Nizamabad MP D Arvind

Hyderabad: In its bid to become the only alternative to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is looking for a new face to lead the party in the state.

With internal elections set to be held in December, senior BJP leaders said a section of people within the party feel they need a new leader or state president to challenge TRS supremo and chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), who is a popular and well-recognized leader.

The two-year term of BJP’s current Telangana president K. Laxman will end in the next few months, after which the party’s organizational polls will be held, said a BJP leader who did not want to be quoted.

BJP looks for new leader in Telangana

Laxman has been with the saffron party right from the beginning of his political career. He was unable to retain the Musheerabad assembly seat in the 2018 state polls, during which the BJP won just one constituency out of the total 119. However, he was lauded during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections when the BJP won four seats in Telangana out of the total 17, including the prestigious Nizamabad constituency. The seat, previously held by K. Kavitha, KCR’s daughter, was won by BJP’s D. Arvind.

Some party leaders feel that we need a new face, especially to challenge someone like KCR, but another group feels that we should continue with Dr. Laxman as he now has a good grip on party affairs, and got us four seats in the Lok Sabha polls,” the BJP leader said.

In Telangana, the BJP is looking to push the Congress aside and emerge as an alternative to the ruling TRS, which has 103 MLAs, out of the total 119. The TRS won 88 seats in the 2018 polls, and later this year 12 Congress MLAs (out of 19) defected to the ruling parties along with three other opposition MLAs.

The TRS, which expected to win most of the 17 MP seats in the 2019 parliamentary polls, was reduced to 9, as the Congress won in three seats.

However, just before the Lok Sabha elections and after it as well, a handful of senior leaders from the Congress like former cabinet minister D. K. Aruna quit the Congress and joined the BJP.

Besides, several local leaders and cadre from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which has weakened in the state since bifurcation in 2014, also lost many of its leaders to the BJP recently.

Among the names that are doing the rounds as possible replacement for Laxman are BJP MLC N. Ramchander Rao, D. K. Aruna, and Nizamabad MP D. Arvind. “It is unlikely that an outsider like Aruna will be given charge, and Arvind is a first-time MP. So we will have to wait and see,” said BJP leader, who added that the party sees great prospects in the state from a national perspective.
