Hyderabad: YS Sunitha, daughter of the late Andhra Pradesh minister YS Viveka Reddy, has filed a complaint with the Cyberabad police alleging death threats on social media platforms.
Claims of Increased Threats:
Sunitha alleges that the threats have escalated since her recent meeting with YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In her complaint, Sunitha states that abusive and threatening messages targeting her and her family have been circulated on social media platforms like Facebook.
Sunitha specifically points towards one V. Ravindra Reddy as the source of the targeting and threats.
The Cyberabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cybercrimes) confirms the complaint and informs that a case is being registered and the matter will be investigated.
This incident comes amidst ongoing political tensions in Andhra Pradesh, with Y.S. Sharmila launching her own political party and challenging her brother, the Chief Minister.
