If the ongoing speculations are believed to be true then the Opposition leader YS Jagan is all set to conquer the parliament seat of the working capital Vijayawada with an eminent leader. Let us find out who that leader is.
YSRCP had lost the Vijayawada Parliament in 2014 to the TDP MP Kesineni Nani. Also, a couple of MLAs from his party shifted their sides post the elections for their own benefits. In order to get a hold over the business capital of Andhra, YS Jagan is trying his best to bring the most popular ex Congressman Lagadapati Rajagopal into his party. This businessman turned Politician never faced defeat until 2014 as the AP people turned against Congress for separating Telangana from Andhra. Known for conducting perfect surveys and leadership, this ex-MP of Vijayawada still maintains huge popularity in and around the City. Roping such leader will be a huge boost to the party and also he is the best man Jagan can find opposite a powerful MP like Kesineni Nani. So Jagan is holding talks with Lagadapati and using all his influence to make him agree to be a part of YSRCP.
Leading experts of AP Politics state that Lagadapati is very close to the late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy. If at all he wants to join YSRCP, he would have done it the moment he lost in 2014 elections but the ex-Minister resigned from real-time Politics for his own reasons. One has to wait and see if Jagan manages to get this big leader onboard YSRCP or not.
