The BJP leaders lashed out at Congress Party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi by stating that he took the path of Aurangzeb and Khilji. The controversial comments came during the election campaigning of Rahul Gandhi for the Gujarat Assembly elections. The BJP leaders raised objections against Rahul Gandhi visiting various temples in Gujarat.
BJP leaders said, ‘Mughal Ruler Aurangzeb destroyed many Hindu Temples. When the local people opposed his actions, he used to promise them that he would build new temples. Even Aladdin Khilji did the same. And now Rahul Gandhi is walking in the same path’.
‘Rahul Gandhi and Congress are trying to use Hindutva Card to attract the majority, the Hindus in the state. We demand Rahul Gandhi to speak about the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Rahul’s visit to temples is nothing but an election drama. It would be a dream come true for the Congress party to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mohammad Ghazini who invaded India 17 times and looted the nation’s riches. We wouldn’t let Congress celebrate Ghazini’s birth anniversary as they celebrated Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary in Karnataka. It is impossible for Congress to win the elections in Gujarat, no matter whatever ploys Rahul Gandhi looks to execute’, said GVL Narasimha Rao.
