Tamil Heroine Jyothika is seen abusing GV Prakash in an unparliamentary language. The words translate to ‘Son of a whore’. Jyothika and GV Prakash are playing the lead roles in the upcoming Tamil film ‘Naachiyar’. The film is being directed and produced by acclaimed director Bala.

Bala is often known for depicting ‘real life’ characters and incidents on the celluloid. Jyothika plays the role of a tough cop, with a red ‘bindhu’ on her forehead.

In the trailer, Jyothika is seen uttering ‘Thevudiyapayaliha’ (Son of a whore) after she slaps a criminal in a police station premises. The trailer sparked controversy in Tamil Nadu with some people demanding to remove the cuss words, that usually refers to a woman’s body and morality even though the abuse is aimed at a man.

While most of the people welcomed such hard-hitting lines from the actress, many condemned Jyothika for uttering such a dialogue. Jyothika’s attire as the cop and the attitude she sports has raised few eyebrows. Few people questioned her appearance in the film as ‘Is this feminism?’, while others expressed their support to see Jyothika is such a hard-hitting role.

The film’s music is composed by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and the cinematography is handled by Eashwar.
