Time makes you forget your problems, says Priya Bhavani Shankar

0

Urging those going through tough times to hang in there and wear a smile, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar on Wednesday said that worrying was overrated and that time would make one forget their problems.

Taking time to pen a long post on Instagram, the actress posted a video clip containing pictures and clips shot during her trip to Cambodia.

Along with the video clip, she wrote: “Flavours of Cambodia. This memory from three years back popped up on my phone and got me thinking.

“I was emotionally in a very dark place. I woke up that morning and wanted to run away from everything. That evening, without any plans we hopped onto a flight.”

“Looking back, it feels like I was distressed for nothing. What I thought would kill me, No it didn’t. I survived. It doesn’t matter anymore and to a level, it’s funny how I thought that was the end of the world.”So if you are someone who is going through a tough time, this is for you. I would like to tell you IT IS OK. It’s a phase and you will get through this. NOTHING IS THE END. You will have a new set of problems in another three years. You’ll develop the strength to laugh at your old problems.”

“Hang in there. Wear that smile and live. Because problems and disappointments are always going to be there. Looking back you don’t want to see regrets but how you lived through it.”

“Time makes you forget your problems but you will remember the person who was holding you through tough times, the flavors of the food you had, and the memories you made. WORRYING IS OVERRATED,” she said.

The release of dubbed versions is acknowledged as a major factor behind the recent successes of several pan-Indian movies from down South. But in an interesting move that goes against the trend, the Telugu movie ‘Bimbisara’ produced by NTR Arts will be taking the subtitling route to outside markets.

In the wake of RRR, KGF2, and Pushpa’s super success, the lavishly-mounted fantasy action drama, Bimbisara, is targeting a wide release on August 5, 2022. UFO Moviez, which recently distributed much loved ‘777 Charlie’ and ‘Rocketry’, will release the Telugu film in North India with English subtitles.

The spokesperson for UFO Moviez points out that during the Coronavirus-triggered pandemic, when people were locked in their homes for months together, they devoured content from across India and the world.

“As a result, language is no longer a barrier and they are now open to watching content with subtitles. OTT has changed viewing habits and we are confident that a good film in any language will bring people to the theatre,” he asserts, promising that Bimbisara which offers a larger-than-life, big screen experience will not disappoint.

‘Bimbisara’ stars Jr. NTR’s brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in the title role of the Emperor of Magadh in the 5th century BC, along with Catherine Tresa, Samyuktha Menon, and Warina Hussain.

The film is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s home banner NTR Arts, which despite intense competition from other filmmakers, was able to put together this massive project.

The teenage vampire series “First Kill,” won’t be renewed for a second season. The news comes nearly two months after the streaming series debuted all eight episodes from the first season in early June, reports Variety.

Sources close to the matter told Variety that Netflix is proud of the work that producers, cast and crew put in on the series, though the decision came down to a matter of viewing numbers versus cost.

According to Variety, based on a short story from horror writer V. E. Schwab, “First Kill” followed Calliope (Imani Lewis) and Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook), two teenage girls who fall for one another, but come from warring families: one a dynasty of vampire hunters, the other a line of bloodsuckers.

The series had garnered a dedicated following in the weeks since its premiere. In a tweet confirming the cancellation, series cast member Goodman expressed gratitude towards the show’s fanbase.

Quoted by Variety, Goodman wrote, “I have nothing but love for every single one of you! Thank you all for taking the show in as your own, seeing you all feel seen made all the hard work and hours worth it.

BLACKPINK to formally release new album in September

0

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK will officially drop its highly-anticipated second studio album in September and will begin their world tour a month later in October.

It has been earlier announced that the quartet will return to the music scene this month with the new album, reports Yonhap.

But YG Entertainment said in a video posted on its official blog for announcing broad schedules for the band’s comeback that the group will pre-release some of the upcoming album’s tracks this month and officially drop the album in September.

In October, the group will begin its largest-ever world tour to meet its international fans, the agency added without giving exact dates or hours.

“The name for this comeback project is ‘Born Pink,’ which implies the identity of BLACKPINK, which is never ordinary and will exude a fatal aura,” the agency said in a press release.

The upcoming album will mark the band’s first project with all four members in one year and 10 months.

The last whole-group release was in October 2020 with the band’s first full-length album ‘The Album’, including the main single ‘Lovesick Girls’ and ‘How You Like That’, a pre-released song.

‘The Album’ became the first million-selling album from a K-pop girl group, selling more than 1.4 million copies. It was a big success in the global market, debuting at No. 2 on Billboard 200 and the British Official Chart for albums upon its release.

In 2021, individual albums by members Rose and Lisa were as successful as the group’s first studio album. BLACKPINK has recently extended its lead as the most-followed musical act on YouTube after hitting 75 million subscribers.
