It’s been One Year – Narendra Modi thanks the Nation, initiates people to take survey on “Note Ban”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today asked people to take a survey on note ban and tell him what they felt about it. He earlier tweeted in support of demonetization. His tweet expresses a lot of the efforts, the government has put to uproot corruption and black money.
Exactly a year ago, the central government banned all old 500 and 1000 rupee notes which were said to be the crucial decision taken by the Modi government and was also in news and discussions for a long time.’
Modi also tweeted a video which shows the benefits of demonetization and infographics on the same topic. He also thanked all the public for consistently supporting the many measures taken by him and his government. He said in another tweet “we, the 125 crore Indians fought a decisive battle and we won.”
Nevertheless, the opposition parties are pouring in with their criticism for demonetization decision taken by the ruling party. On Wednesday, Congress Vice- President Rahul Gandhi, also tweeted about the note ban, calling it a “tragedy.” He also expressed anguish over it through another tweet stating that the millions of honest Indians lives and livelihoods are destroyed by PM’s thoughtless act and in this hour, we stand by all those who suffered.
Congress and other opposition parties are planning to countrywide protests in the form of rallies, candlelight marches, and processions to mark the first anniversary of note ban.
Congress went one step ahead calling the note ban as the “biggest scam”.
