Raghavendra Rao who is popularly known as ‘Darsakendra’ is one of the top directors in Telugu Film history. He always holds high honor and regards for his contribution to Telugu Cinema. He has directed blockbuster films like Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Indian Cinema Queen Sridevi, Adavi Ramudu starring NTR, Annamayya, Allari Priyudu, Gharana Mogudu and many more. The star-director has directed over 100 films, which itself is a record and has won 7 Nandi Awards, the SIIMA Award, 5 Filmfare Awards, and many other awards.
The director has failed to see any commercial success in the recent times. His last film, ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ starring Nagarjuna managed to fare decently at the box office. But the director is all set to hold the gramophone once again.
With an aim to achieve a commercial success, the director is busy in the script work of his upcoming film. It is confirmed that his next directorial venture would be with a new cast. A love story connecting the current generation and the previous generations is being worked out. The film will roll onto the sets in early 2018.
The whole film industry is anxiously waiting for the ‘Darsakendra’s’ new project. Only time will tell whether Raghavendra Rao manages to know the audience pulse or not.
