Deciding what to keep and what to sacrifice sparked intense debates and heated arguments within the team,” he admitted.

Following that, Tej planned to collaborate with director Sampath Nandi on Ganja Shankar, but the project was eventually shelved. Since then, he has stayed away from films for nearly two years.

Now, Tej has been working on his most ambitious film, Sambarala Yeti Gattu (SYG). The teaser, released a few months ago, announced a grand release on September 25, during the Dasara season. However, there has been no promotion or update since then, and it is now officially confirmed that the film will not release on the scheduled date.

Directed by debutant KP Rohit and produced by Niranjan Reddy (who recently delivered the blockbuster Hanu-Man), SYG was planned on a massive budget. But according to reports, the allocated budget was already exhausted midway through the shoot.

Further complicating matters, the cine workers’ strike caused major delays, leading to increased costs and high interest rates. With many crucial scenes still left to be filmed and inconsistent pre-release business in the current industry climate, the movie is facing serious production hurdles.

For now, fans of Sai Dharam Tej will have to wait longer, as Sambarala Yeti Gattu is unlikely to release anytime soon and may take a few more months before hitting the big screens.

The Story

The film opens with a chilling scene—a headless corpse found near a police station. Who does the body belong to? Who committed the murder? Why was it placed near the police station? These questions set the tone as the police launch a tense investigation.

The narrative then jumps back three months, introducing Chaitra, a software engineer who returns from the U.S. She is in love with Surya, who loves her equally. Meanwhile, another young man named Gautam enters the story, carrying dark secrets that are linked to the gruesome murder.

As the investigation deepens, shocking truths are revealed, leading to an unexpected climax filled with twists and suspense.
