Ahead of the launch, a lot has been revealed about the OnePlus 7T Pro. As far as the specs are concerned the OnePlus 7T Pro will not be very different from the OnePlus 7T that launched in India recently. One of the major differences between the two phones — OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro — is expected to be in the design. The OnePlus 7T Pro is not expected to come with the circular camera module design as seen on the OnePlus 7T. The OnePlus 7T Pro will look much like the OnePlus 7 Pro and not 7T.

Rumours and leaks have already revealed the full specs of the OnePlus 7T Pro. The leaks suggest that the OnePlus 7T Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus similar to the OnePlus 7T. The OnePlus 7T Pro is also expected to come with 90Hz display, triple rear camera module and 16MP selfie shooter on the front. Yes, front camera design is another area where the OnePlus 7T Pro is said to differ when compared to the OnePlus 7T that comes with waterdrop notch design.
Reports suggest that the OnePlus 7T Pro will come with a much-improved camera setup and battery performance. The OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to last way more than the OnePlus 7T on a single charge. As far as the specs are concerned the OnePlus 7T Pro will be costlier than the OnePlus 7T. The OnePlus 7T retails in India with price starting at Rs 37,999. Considering the price of the OnePlus 7T it is likely that the India price of the OnePlus 7T Pro will go above 40,000 for the base model. The McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro will be the costlier than the standard version of the smartphone.

War box office day 2 collection: Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff film stays on course, picks an estimated Rs 74 crores in two days

0

War box office Day 2 collections stood at an estimated Rs 22-23 crores, taking the overall tally, after two days, to Rs 74 crores.

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War maintained momentum despite seeing a drop on day 2. The film has made an estimated Rs 22-23 crore nett, taking the total tally to an estimated Rs 74 crores nett, according to a report in Box Office India.

The report adds that film saw a dip of 55-60%, reportedly a normal drop post a national holiday (Oct 2). It adds that Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger too saw a similar drop, in 2012, and went from Rs 31 crores (day 1) to Rs 14 crores (day 2).

The report predicts that the film will see a major drop on Friday, before picking up pace on Saturday and Sunday, crucial days for it to be declared a hit. It also said that the five-day long weekend is a huge plus and it has an “open run” till Diwali, but pre-Diwali days are not always the best for collections.

War opened to spectacular numbers — at Rs 51.6 crores, it became the biggest opener of all time, ranking just behind Avengers: Endgame and Baahubali 2. It also became the highest Hindi language opening film and beating Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan by almost Rs 1 crore. This is also Hrithik and Tiger’s biggest opening films.

Tweeting the figures, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote: “#War creates H-I-S-T-O-R-Y… Sets new benchmarks for #Hindi films… Big holiday [#GandhiJayanti] + unprecedented hype results in mind boggling *Day 1* total… Crosses the previous best – #ThugsOfHindostan – by a margin, despite lower screen count.” War has had to face stiff competition in India — in South, it has had to compete with Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy while, a multiple Bengali language films were released in West Bengal, during Durga Puja period.

War, a Siddharth Anand directorial, has been appreciated for its top-notch action sequences, which did not hamper its prospects despite a predictable storyline. The film pits Hrithik and Tiger against each other, where both play commandos. While Hrithik goes rogue, Tiger is assigned with the job of neutralising him. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor as its female lead.

Harbhajan Singh might announce international retirement to take part in England’s ‘The Hundred’: Report

India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh might not shy away from announcing his retirement from international cricket soon if any team in England’s new city-based franchise league ‘The Hundred’ picks him in the player draft slated to take place on October 20 in London.

Harbhajan is the only Indian to throw his hat in the ring of the latest version of franchise cricket ‘The Hundred’. Harbhajan has kept his base price at £100,000.

According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, BCCI’s policy of not allowing any active Indian cricketer to participate in overseas league might prompt Harbhajan to announce his retirement and follow Yuvraj Singh, who had hung his boots and participated in the Global T20 League in Canada earlier this year.

Harbhajan, who last played for India in 2016 Asia Cup, is among the 25 overseas players on the player draft of ‘The Hundred’ who have kept their base price at £100,000 (US$124,000) or more.

Harbhajan is likely to take a step if he gets picked in the player draft. Because a comeback in the Indian side is highly unlikely, Harbhajan might not mind to draw curtains on his international career if the BCCI doesn’t relax its rules for him.

The competition laws deliver only three overseas players are allowed in the team as well as the squad.

With 417 Test scalps, Harbhajan is the most successful Indian bowler among active cricketers. The off-spinner hasn’t played in the longest format for years. He last played a Test match back in 2015 against Sri Lanka.

When Ranveer Singh Styled His Look To Match His New Lamborghini

Ranveer Singh is painting Mumbai red (literally). No, we are not talking about his red hoodie look. We are referring to how the actor styled his look to match it up with his new car – a striking red Lamborghini Urus. On Thursday, the “Padmaavat” actor went on a ride on his new car, pictures from which are spreading like wildfire on social media.

The actor picked a casual black t-shirt for his day out and added a dash of color (red, of course) by wearing a hat, to match his new SUV, which costs Rs. 3 crore, reported news agency IANS. Ranveer happily posed for the shutterbugs during his car ride and he was accompanied by a friend.

When Ranveer Singh Styled His Look To Match His New Lamborghini

Earlier this week, Ranveer Singh was photographed at a dubbing studio in Mumbai, dressed in an over-sized red hoodie, which he paired with a pair of black trousers and neon green shoes. The actor trended big time for this look.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh is busy with the preparation of Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83, in which he will be seen playing the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. The film will depict the story of India’s iconic win at the 1983 cricket World Cup. The film will also feature his actress-wife Deepika Padukone as Roma Dev (Kapil Dev’s wife). Other than that, the actor will also be seen in Karan Johar’s period drama Takht.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s musical Gully Boy, co-starring Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film is India’s official entry at the 92nd Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.

Ant Financial may lead $600 million funding in Zomato

0

Last week, Zomato said its revenue for the first half of the ongoing financial year jumped more than three-fold to $205 million, compared with $63 million in the year-ago period.
MUMBAI/BENGALURU: Online food delivery and restaurant discovery platform Zomato is finalising a fresh $600-million round of fundraising likely to be led by existing Chinese investor, Ant Financial, said two people in the know.

Singapore’s sovereign fund Temasek is also expected to put in a significant amount of capital as part of the fund infusion that will further intensify the battle between Zomato and Swiggy, according to people familiar with the matter.

Zomato’s valuation may cross $3 billion in the new funding round, these people said. That would imply a hefty bump-up over the $2-billion valuation at which it raised funds earlier this year.

Ant Financial will see its stake touch almost 29%, making it the largest shareholder in Zomato, ahead of InfoEdge, people briefed on the matter told ET.

Ant Financial may lead $600 million funding in Zomato

Cash Burn has Come Down
Alibaba affiliate Ant Financial has been backing Zomato since it picked up a 14.7% stake in February last year. It followed that up by raising its stake to 23% in November last year, regulatory filings show.

Rival Swiggy’s largest investor Naspers holds almost 40% stake in the Bengaluru-based firm.

Responding to ET’s emailed query, a Zomato spokesperson said, “We are raising a round to fuel our ambitions in food delivery, dining out and sustainability. However, at this stage we cannot disclose any further details.”

Temasek declined to comment. Ant Financial had not responded to queries till press time Thursday.

There has been talk of Zomato not being in favour of racking up more funds from Ant Financial, previously Alipay, fearing that deal terms may be loaded in favour of the Chinese investor. ET had reported in its August 12 edition that Ant Financial exercised veto rights on all matters when it invested in the restaurant recommendation platform last year, according to Zomato’s regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies.

Swiggy also raising funds
Swiggy, too, has been in talks with new investors such as Korea Investment Partners, Mirae Asset Management, STIC Investments and Neoplux to stitch up a $500-million financing round. Naspers is learnt to be leading the round, as reported by ET earlier. The company is expected to be valued at around $4 billion, up from its current $3.3-billion valuation.

Both the food-delivery players had been burning $40-50 million monthly at their peak earlier this year. Over the past few months though, Zomato and Swiggy have brought down cash burn on both restaurant acquisition and customer discounts.

Last week, Zomato said its revenue for the first half of the ongoing financial year jumped more than three-fold to $205 million, compared with $63 million in the year-ago period. Zomato’s average order value stood at around Rs 270, according to rough estimates. The company said it recorded 214 million orders in the first half of the year, which averages to about 35 million orders a month, and a GMV of $821 million, it said. The company said it had reduced cash burn to 60% of what it was

Aside from the high cash-burn war, Zomato has since August faced the ire of the restaurant owners’ body National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) and lobbies that have raised concern on its Gold membership programme. NRAI has vehemently protested Zomato’s proposed extension of the Gold programme, which entitles customers to free food and drinks, on to its delivery platform. The association had launched a #Logout campaign against Zomato on August 15. The company, however, has maintained that the number of restaurants offering Gold has continued to grow despite the protests.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy box office collection Day 2: Chiranjeevi film rules the ticket windows

Despite being a Telugu film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has managed to do exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu. The Telugu and Tamil version of the period drama has collected Rs 1.61 crore on its first day.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote, “#SyeRaa TN – Day 1 Gross:
Telugu – Rs 1.08 Crs

Total – Rs 1.61 Crs (sic)”
