Bumper offer! YS Jagan selling Rajya Sabha seats
If you manage to bare half-the-cost of a political event, you can become an MP! It’s true! Close sources to YS Jagan and YSRCP have confirmed that Jagan has offered Rajya Sabha MP seat to an industrialist hailing from Nellore.
Jagan’s Paadhayathra has been appreciated and criticised by various sections of the society. The insider story is that Jagan was in a dilemma about who the funding the 6-month-long Paadhayathra. Initially, it was decided that the local leaders will be baring the expenses for Paadhayathra in their respective constituencies. But the local leaders opposed the idea stating that they cannot bear the expenses of Paadhayathra and the upcoming elections. Seeing the pitiful situation, Jagan’s close friend Mithun Reddy, Rajampet MP offered to completely bare the expenses of the Paadhayathra. But Jagan felt that it would be too much burden on his friend and started scouting for someone else who can share the expense.
Finally, YSRCP managed to convince Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy to bare half the expenses. In the past, Prabhakar Reddy supported YSRCP financially expecting a seat to contest from Nellore. But the YSRCP ignored him in 2014. With the current proposal of funding the Paadhayathra, Jagan has offered an MP Rajya Sabha seat for bare half-the-expenses of the Paadhayathra.
