The DMK stalwart, Karunanidhi, will be buried next to his mentor and DMK founder, CN Annadurai. In spite of AIADMK government’s refusal to bury Karunanidhi at the iconic Anna Sarai Complex, his party successfully won the legal case against the government. The complex also has buried corpses of Jayalalithaa and MGR.
The DMK Chief made his final death journey from Rajaji hall till Marina Beach followed by a countless number of people. He was draped in the tri-colour Indian flag in his open procession. His supporters are all grief-stricken and came like flies to catch a last glimpse of their Thalaivar.
M K Stalin and Tamizharasu, sons of Karunanidhi, requested for a silent and peaceful procession after report of death of two persons. The citizens became extremely restless to see the body of the DMK patriarch.
All the big names from politics and entertainment industry have visited Rajaji hall to pay their last respects to the Dravidian Icon. The demise of Karunanidhi has left millions of people across Tamil Nadu as well as entire nation in tears.
