Bollywood has been eagerly waiting to witness a mega clash at the box-office next week. Padmavat and PadMan were slated to release on January 25. Until yesterday things did seem that way. Suddenly, things did change overnight. On Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s request, Akshay Kumar has agreed to postpone ‘PadMan’ for Padmavat.

PadMan, starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte, has completed censor board formalities a few weeks ago. Akshay Kumar also announced PadMan would release on January 25th, for the Republic Day weekend. Consequently, PadMan will release on February 9th, 2018.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali joined Akshay Kumar at the press meet and thanked him for his kind gesture. ‘He has gone through a lot. It is vital for him to release the film on time, given its mammoth scale. I felt their stakes are higher than mine’, said Akshay Kumar.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali stated, ‘I will be ever grateful to Akshay for a lifetime. This is how we stand together’. With no other film releasing on January 25th, trade analysts are predicting that Padmavat will turn out to be the biggest film in Indian Film history, surpassing SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali and Amir Khan’s Dangal.

Anchor Pradeep is famous for his witty answers and punches on celebrities during his TV shows. Now it is anchor’s turn to receive one. The Nampally Court heard the ‘drink and drive’ case of anchor Pradeep that took place on 31st December night into 1st January wee hours. The Hyderabad police produced the anchor Pradeep in front of the court today.

On hearing the proceedings of the case, the Nampally court delivered its judgment. In its judgment, the court called for the cancellation of Anchor Pradeep’s driving license for one year. This clearly left Anchor Pradeep in shock, who thought he could get away with just a fine. Moreover, the court also imposed a fine of Rs. 2100.

Anchor Pradeep was caught in a special ‘drunk and drive’ operation carried by the Hyderabad police, on the eve of New Year. The police seized the vehicle of anchor Pradeep after the breath analyzer reported 178 points. Moreover, a person can be sent to prison if the breath analyzer reading crosses 150 points. Cancellation of the anchor’s driving license came as a surprise.

Ram Charan took some time off from his busy shooting schedule of Rangasthalam movie. Ram Charan and Boyapati Srinu film is finally underway. The actor was present at the beginning of the first-day shoot for his upcoming film. Kiara Advani is playing the female lead in the film. 

Boyapati completed the first shot of the film at the Vana Devatha Temple, near RTC Cross Roads Hyderabad. Boyapati Srinu follows the sentiment of shooting his film’s first scene at the Vana Devatha Temple. The film’s shooting from hereon will continue in the Ramie Film City. 

‘Ram Charan agreed to do the film with Boyapati after listening to the storyline in brief. He later put the film on hold, after he found the director’s script similar to Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, claimed few websites in the past.

The film is being bankrolled by DVV Danayya on his production house ‘DVV Entertainments. Once again, Rishi Punjabi will handle the cinematography. He previously worked for Boyapati Srinu’s ‘Sarrainodu’ and ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’. 

Moreover, Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music for the film, and AS Prakash will handle the art department. The film’s regular shooting will commence from last week of January.

Trolling of film celebrities, religious leaders and politicians have become a new trend in India. People used to troll the aforementioned on social media platforms and web-interviews. It looks like, things are slightly going overboard in recent times. Be it the Katthi Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan fans issue or anything, the trolling has become more open and offensive.

In a recent incident, two female anchors trolled Tamil hero Surya on a live comedy show. The show titled ‘Franka Sollata’ features on SUN Music Channel from Monday to Friday, 12:00 Noon to 01:00 PM. During the episode that was aired yesterday, the VJs (Video Jockeys) reportedly made fun of Surya’s height.

One of the VJ said, ‘If Surya (hero) intends to act with Amitabh Bachchan, either he has to stand on a chair, or Amitabh should be sitting in the chair’.These comments drew flak from all corners of the Kollywood Film Industry. VJs and the channel were trolled on Twitter, with celebrities raising objections over their comments.

Hero Vishal, in particular, said, ‘Funny!??? Absolutely not. How unethical in the name of a sense of humor. Totally Senseless’, in his tweet. He also attached the image of both the VJs. Director Vignesh Shivan also expressed his displeasure and extended the criticism towards the VJs. In his tweet, Vignesh said, ‘It is really unfortunate to see someone making comments in this manner on Surya, who has achieved a lot in his acting career’.

Nandamuri Balakrishna had a great 2017 Sankranti outing. His film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ went on to become the biggest hit of his career. The film raked up excellent collections at the box office. Post the success of the film, Balakrishna upped his tempo and went on to sign ‘Paisa Vasool’.

Upon release, Paisa Vasool ended as a disaster. Forgetting the past, he once again came for this year’s Sankranti as ‘Jai Simha’. Analysts predicted that ‘Jai Simha’ would have a tough time, competing with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi. With Agnyaathavaasi bombing at the box-office, Jai Simha managed to fare exceedingly well, despite routine content and repetitive revenge drama.

 The film became the third highest grosser (1st-week collections) in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s career. ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ and ‘Legend’ are placed at the top two positions.

Gautamiputra Satakarni collected Rs. 41 crores as share, while Legend collected Rs. 27.40 crores as share at the end of the first week. The latest release, Jai Simha managed to collect Rs. 23.30 crores as share. It looks like, the collections of Jai Simha are likely to increase further, with no other films in-between till January 26th.

Despite many personnel from film industry requesting Katthi Mahesh to stop his ill-motived attack on Pawan Kalyan. In a recent TV channel show, Katthi Mahesh went on to say, ‘Who the hell is Pawan Kalyan? I don’t understand how these people are treating him like a god? He is after all completed his 10th grade’.

Though the security around him protect him, he was struck with two eggs. In his protest against the attack, Katthi Mahesh once again went into the TV9 studio and demanded that Pawan Kalyan should take responsibility for these attacks on him.
