Samantha Came To The Balakrishnudu Movie Function

The Pre-release and audio launch of ‘Balakrishnudu’ has taken place on Friday in Hyderabad. Nara Rohit and Regina Cassandra are the lead pair. Interestingly, the event saw Akkineni Samantha as the chief guest. Everyone was shocked to why Samantha was seen at this function, that too as the chief guest without any involvement in the film.

The latest news is that Samantha has come to the event on request of the film’s producer. Giridhar was Samantha’s manager while she was at her career peaks. He was the manager many star heroes and heroines also. He used to plan Samantha dates in a very well organized and structured manner. Samantha has always showered special fondness for the manager.

Samantha came to the function for him!Being his first film as producer, Giridhar invited Samantha to preside over the event as its Chief Guest. Along with Samantha, Sai Dharam Tej, Naga Shourya, Rashi Khanna, Vennela Kishore and other celebrities were seen at the event.

With Samantha being a part of the event, various media houses and print media showed immense interest in covering the event. This gave the film much-required publicity and hype. One has to wait and see how well the film performs. ‘Balakrishnudu’ is scheduled for release on November 24th.  Mani Sharma scored the music for this film, making his 4th collaboration with Nara Rohit.

Nandamuri Balakrishna announced about making a biopic on legendary NTR a few months ago. It was initially thought that RGV would be directing the film. After RGV announced that he was chosen as the director without any public statement from Balakrishna, the latter stated that the film will be directed by Teja.

Everyone felt that RGV would be disappointed. Shockingly, RGV announced the film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ and raised the heat in Balakrishna’s camp.

Along with the fans, RGV was also shocked when Kethireddy stated he will be directing another biopic on NTR under the name ‘Lakshmi’s Veeragrandham’.

RGV took the special interest in commenting and advising Kethireddy his film’s poster and the characterization of the characters in the film. RGV even released a short film on YouTube featuring NTR’s voice. What looked like a counter to Balakrishna’s NTR, it later ends a competition between RGV and Kethireddy. Fans started to draw the comparisons between ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ and ‘Lakshmi’s Veeragrandham’. On a whole, RGV who is generally perceived as witty and clever became a scapegoat and a fool in the hands of Kethireddy.

It is heard that Balakrishna’s team has asked Kethireddy to come up with such a film!

When his associated stated that his decision wouldn’t be welcomed by people from Kaapu community, Pawan advised him to encourage new leaders on a large scale from Kaapu community.

‘Agnathavasi’ is the upcoming film in the Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram Srinivas combination. This mega combination has delivered blockbusters like Jalsa and Attarinitki Daredi in the past. With the film being 25th film in Pawan Kalyan’s career, high stakes are already in place.

Currently, the shooting for the leg of the film is being shot in European countries. The film’s shooting is most likely to be finished by the end of this month (November 2017). Post the completion of post-production of Agnathavasi by the year-end, Trivikram will join NTR for his next movie.

The song ‘Bayatikochi Chuste’ that has recently released is already trending on all music platforms and is a definite chartbuster. The film unit has decided that, instead of releasing singles from the movie, they are planning to release all the songs by organizing a traditional ‘Audio Launch’ event.

Now it is reported that director Trivikram is seriously working to prepare the film’s first copy by December 15th. Meanwhile, the film’s audio launch is expected to take place on December 14th in Silpakala Vedika, Hyderabad. The latest buzz in the film circles is that the register of ‘Silpakala Vedika’ program list shows a booking made by Harika and Hassine Creations for December 14th. The film circles are guessing that the booking was made in the context of Agnathavasi audio release.

Sandeep Kishan who made an impression with films like Prasthanam and Venkatadri Express is having a tough time in the recent past. To ensure he is right on track, the hero has shown utmost care while signing the films. It looks like his recent film, C/O Surya will give him a much-required break in his career once again. With ‘Na Peru Siva’ director Suseenthiran directing the film, the expectations were pretty high. Mehreen Pirzada, the Lady of Luck has starred opposite Sandeep Kishan in the film.

Story:

The plot revolves around a contract killer and two friends. Sandeep Kishan and Vikranth are very good friends. A slight misunderstanding disturbs their friendship. During this time, Vikranth gets into a brawl with a Contract killer. In order to save his friend, and his friend’s family Sandeep Kishan gets into actions. During this process, Sandeep Kishan comes to know atrocities that are being committed by the serial killer.  The story revolves around the strategic play between the villain who smartly commits a crime and the hero, who tries to nab the villain.

Analysis:

The story of the film reminds Sandeep Kishan’s ‘Tiger’ that has released in the past. Though the subject is old, the way the director narrates it is outstanding. The director excelled in showcasing the smartness of current generation who are using technology and internet to solve mysteries. The film shows how people one can kill without causing a hint of doubt or leaving a clue. Sandeep Kishan and Harish Utthaman clearly excelled in their respective roles of good guy and bad guy.

Though these kinds of characters seem like a cake walk for Sandeep Kishan, the way he dealt with his role in the film raises expectations on him as an actor. It looks like the Telugu Film Industry has found a new villain in the form of Harish Utthaman. His unique villain mannerisms are a watch out in the film. Music, Dialogues, and Camera departments have thoroughly excelled through the film. A couple of scenes between the lead pair Sandeep Kishan and Mehreen Pirzada might be a bit uncomfortable to watch with the family.

‘Okkadu Migiladu’ movie review:

From the last decade or so, most of the Indian films have linked themselves with controversies. And interestingly, few production houses and directors choose subjects that stir controversies after the film’s release. Many films that have been produced on those lines are still ‘yet to be released’. One such film is ‘Kutrapathrikai,’ a Tamil film that attempted to thread the facts around the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. The film directed by R.K. Selvamani in 1991 released in 2007 after the Censor Board stopped its release for over 13 years.

Even the upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Padmavathi’ under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bansali is mired with controversies. It’s really surprising that, Manchu Manoj starrer ‘Okkadu Migiladu,’ has released without any such controversies. The film is based on LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.

Story:

Police officials are seen interrogating a student leader in a jail. The student leader (Manoj) associates him with the problems going in the society. Along with other students, he takes the responsibility of ‘cleansing’ the society on to his shoulders. He raises his voice against the social evils and often gets into trouble. The police try to find out about the whereabouts of the student leader after his relentless struggle against the evil in the society surprise them. The flashback begins with the life of LTTE Prabhakaran (Manoj), his life and how the student leader is related to the LTTE leader.

Analysis:

From the outset, it would be clear that the director Ajay Andrews believes that a ‘film’ can be used as a medium to even inspire the audience. ‘Okkadu Migiladu’ can be considered as an extension to his previous film ‘Ravana Desam’ (2013) which depicted the hostile environment that prevailed in Sri Lanka in 2009. Coming from a family of freedom fighters, Ajay has shown how an individual would behave when his existence is threatened. The director’s mettle is clearly seen with the interval episode. The film’s script rightly blends with the repercussions that arise out of ‘Dominance’. He manages to hold the intensity from the first frame to the end.

The fight sequence between Sri Lankan Army and Manoj is ought to be the highlight of the film. In the second half, the director is successful in presenting the situations prevailing in Sri Lankan during the period in an intense, subtle and emotional manner. The dialogues can be noted for their depth. It would be interesting to see to what extent the common man connects with this film.

Manoj’s transformation from an ‘easy-go’ guy to ‘responsible’ is sure because of this film. As a hero, one can clearly note his uproar in the film. His body language, dialogue delivery and the intensity he shows in his characters is outstanding. Even the director excelled as an actor in his role. The cinematography is nothing short of sheer brilliance.
