Regarding the BJP’s track record, Shah asserted that they adhered to a consistent ideology and strictly implemented it. He highlighted the substantial financial investment made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, amounting to ₹9 lakh crore, towards Telangana’s development over the past nine years. Shah questioned why Telangana, which had a surplus budget at its formation, fell into a deficit during K. Chandrashekar Rao’s (KCR)nine-year tenure.

Shah urged professionals and intellectuals to carefully consider their votes and not grant the BRS another opportunity to lead the government. He called on them to elect the right candidates to establish a new government in Telangana, asserting that the BRS had failed to deliver on its promises of funds, water, and employment.

Additionally, Shah alleged a political nexus between the Congress and the BRS, and he encouraged intellectuals and professionals to put an end to the two parties in Telangana during the upcoming Assembly elections. He contended that family-dominated governments and corrupt political parties did not adequately address the concerns of the people, exemplified by the alleged corruption in the construction of projects like Kaleshwaram and Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation projects by the ruling BRS government.

Shah concluded by urging the gathering to support the BJP and elect its candidates, promising to work towards the development of Telangana.

Jagan Mohan Reddy urged party leaders to make timely decisions regarding the venues and dates for public meetings in all constituencies. This decision followed complaints by members of Congress, including Uttam Kumar Reddy, to the Election Commission of India (ECI), requesting the suspension of these schemes due to the model code of conduct in effect.

Furthermore, the state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has implemented cost-saving measures for cabinet meetings, capping the expenditure at Rs 5 lakh. It has also discouraged the initiation of any new repair work for circuit houses and inspection bungalows for such meetings, given that cabinet meetings are conducted in various district headquarters.

The cabinet meeting locations for the coming months have been decided, with meetings scheduled for November and December to be held in Tinsukia and North Lakhimpur districts, respectively, while the January meeting will take place in Nagaon.

Moreover, the cabinet has approved a revised draft notification to declare an eco-sensitive zone within a 1 km radius around the Bherjan-Borajan-Padumoni Wildlife Sanctuary in Tinsukia, in accordance with a directive from the Supreme Court.

Officials argued that considering Andhra Pradesh‘s allocation of water from Polavaram to another basin in the Godavari River, it is not reasonable to demand additional allocations from the Krishna River to Telangana, as this would result in a loss for the state.

The five states will have 1.77 lakh polling stations equipped with basic amenities such as toilets, drinking water, ramps, and signage.

The term of the Legislative Assembly in Telangana is set to expire on January 16 next year, while the tenures of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Mizoram assemblies will conclude on January 14, January 3, January 6, and December 17, in that order.

Senior BJP leader Etala Rajendar has urged the state government to reclassify the Mudiraj community from BC-D to BC-A, enabling them to access education and employment reservations. He criticized Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for not taking action on this matter despite a significant public meeting held by the Mudiraj community in 2016.

Speaking at the ‘Mudiraj Atmagaurava Sabha’ at Parade Ground, Rajendar accused all political parties of neglecting the Mudiraj community. He pointed out that during the tenure of Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy as Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, the community was reclassified from BC-D to BC-A through a government order (GO). However, due to legal issues, this change was only in effect for a year. Rajendar noted that reservations for minorities, announced during the same period, remain in force and are protected by minority MLAs in the Supreme Court. In contrast, the Mudiraj community lacks representation, leading to the neglect of their issue.

Rajendar emphasized that the Mudiraj community constitutes 11 percent of the state’s population and called on the state government to allocate Rs 20,000 crore for their welfare. He criticized the government’s current allocation of Rs 500 crore under the BRS regime for the free distribution of fishlings and demanded monetary support instead.

Etala Rajendar also called for the Mudiraj community to have complete rights over irrigation projects and water bodies and to grant membership in fishermen societies to all Mudiraj individuals. He warned of potential actions if solar panels installed in irrigation projects adversely affect their livelihood.

Furthermore, Rajendar criticized Rao for not allocating any tickets to Mudiraj community members for the upcoming elections, despite their population share. He argued that this insulted the community and questioned why they should support a party that does not respect their representation.

Etala Rajendar expressed concerns that Rao was attempting to secure Mudiraj community votes through the free distribution of fishlings and urged the community not to fall for such tactics.

Meanwhile, Telangana Mudiraj Mahasabha president Ch Shankar Mudiraj echoed Rajendar’s sentiments, stating that the BRS government had insulted the community and attempted to diminish their self-respect. He pointed out that Mudirajs had played a significant role in bringing BRS to power in 2018 but had not received their fair share of representation.

The vice president of the organization, P. Nageswara Mudiraj, stated that thousands of people from all 119 constituencies had gathered at the Mahasabha to voice their concerns about the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s denial of assembly tickets to the community. He emphasized that Mudirajs represent 15 percent of the state’s population and are the largest caste among BCs, yet Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao did not give them representation in the party.

They also requested additional funds for procuring ration supplies to maintain nutritional standards while serving meals.

Facing overwork and understaffing, the workers struggled to meet the demands of preparing meals for thousands of students daily. They called on the authorities to hire more employees to ensure efficient program functioning. They insisted that the state government must address this issue before considering the breakfast scheme.

Union Minister and BJP State Chief G. Kishan Reddy will inaugurate the extension of four train services at a ceremony held at Secunderabad station. The event will feature the presence of Deputy Speaker T. Padma Rao, State Minister Mohd. Kishan Reddy had inaugurated the services.

State Ministers Mahmood Ali, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and South Central Railway General Manager Arun Kumar Jain. They will officially launch the extension of the Hadapsar-Hyderabad Triweekly Express to Kazipet, Jaipur-Kacheguda Weekly Express to Kurnool, H.S. Nanded-Tandur Parbhani Daily Express to Raichur, and the Karimnagar-Nizamabad Daily Passenger to Bodhan. These extensions will become operational starting from October 9.

Salary hikes have been sanctioned for 418 contract and outsourcing employees working in 29 mini-gurukulams in Telangana. A Government Order (GO) was issued recently, outlining the revised remuneration structure. Under this structure, headmasters will receive a monthly salary of Rs 6,300, teachers Rs 4,500, physical education teachers (PET) Rs 3,300, accountants Rs 3,000, auxiliary nurse midwives (ANM) Rs 2,700, and Class IV employees Rs 2,250.

The Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has initiated a campaign to distribute physical copies of intermediate certificates. Despite the availability of digital certificates online through the bieap.apcfss.in the portal, which are valid for university admissions, the department aims to streamline the process for students. Starting from October 10, students can collect their physical certificates from their respective colleges, with the board requesting parents to do so on behalf of their children. The digital 12th pass certificates, accessible on the official website (bieap.apcfss.in), have been widely accepted by universities across the region.

On Saturday, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) presented awards to 286 of its employees. This included 36 winners of the Rakhi Poornami Challenge, 30 winners of the Shravana Masam Challenge, and 180 employees declared as the zonal level best, In addition to 25 individuals recognized in the “extra mile” category, 15 were acknowledged in the logistics department.
