This announcement followed the breaking of records by F1 racer Max Verstappen during the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday. Yaccarino celebrated the achievements by stating, “Records all around: Verstappen. F1. X video views are up 90 percent compared to last year.” In the recent past, X, under Musk’s ownership, unveiled enhancements for premium subscribers.

Users can now post longer videos, with the option to upload up to two hours of content in 1080p quality or three hours in 720p quality. Additionally, paid subscribers now have the capability to download videos from their timeline to their camera roll and can control the download option for videos they share.

On Thursday, the government reported that India’s economy has displayed resilience, with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanding by 7.8% in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24, in contrast to the 13.1% growth in the same quarter of the previous year.

In the first quarter of FY24, the Indian economy remained on a positive trajectory, marked by substantial growth driven by domestic demand. Government capital expenditure and recovery driven by the services sector acted as shields, safeguarding the nation from the impact of stringent monetary policies and a globally challenging economic environment.

India has maintained its status as the fastest-growing major economy, surpassing China, which recorded a 6.3% growth rate in April-June 2023. According to data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO), India has also retained its position as the fastest-growing large economy, largely attributed to improved performances in the agriculture and financial sectors.

V Anantha Nageswaran, the Chief Economic Adviser (CEA), stated that India’s quarterly GDP growth outpaces that of many other economies. He added that the government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) are confident in retaining their FY24 GDP growth projection of 6.5%. Nageswaran highlighted the positive trends in state-level capital expenditure and private capital formation.

Regarding rising inflation, he expressed confidence that there is no substantial cause for concern about uncontrollable inflation. He noted that both the government and RBI are taking measures to ensure an adequate supply of goods. Nageswaran anticipated a reduction in food inflation with the arrival of fresh supplies and government interventions while keeping an eye on the impact of deficient rainfall in August.

The data indicated a 3.5% growth in the agriculture sector, up from 2.4% in the same quarter of 2022-23, while the manufacturing sector decelerated to 4.7% growth in the first quarter compared to 6.1% in the previous year. In April-June, private consumption in India grew by 6%, an improvement from 2.8% in January-March and 19.8% in April-June 2022.

The construction sector recorded a growth rate of 7.9% in the same period, down from 10.4% in January-March and 16% in April-June 2022. The NSO reported that in Q1 2023-24, real GDP, based on constant (2011-12) prices, reached approximately Rs 40.37 lakh crore, compared to Rs 37.44 lakh crore in Q1 2022-23, reflecting a growth rate of 7.8%, compared to 13.1% in Q1 2022-23.

However, authorities are conducting a comprehensive investigation, considering all aspects, including the alleged harassment by organizers of loan apps. Ramachandra, originally from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, had been married for nine months.

Unfortunately, three months ago, due to certain issues, his wife, who was a distant relative, left her parents, leaving him alone in the flat. Recent inquiries also revealed that he had recently switched jobs. On Friday, the flat’s owner grew concerned when Ramachandra did not emerge from his flat and subsequently alerted the police.

On Friday, IIIT Hyderabad (IIIT-H) announced the appointment of Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala as the new chairman, succeeding its founding chairman, Prof. Raj Reddy, as the institute celebrated its 25th anniversary.

IIIT-H director, Prof. P.J. Narayanan, highlighted that India has adopted the ‘IIIT-H model’ with the establishment of 20 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) IIITs. He emphasized that IIIT-Hyderabad has played a pivotal role in shaping various state and national institutions such as T-Hub, Centre of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE), 21st Century Gurukulams, RGUKT, This includes institutions like the National Institute of Smart Governance (NISG) and more.

Prof. Narayanan also outlined the institute’s current areas of focus, which include signal processing and communications, data science and analytics, language technologies, robotics, security, theory and algorithms, smart cities, cognitive science, and computational social sciences, among others.

Upon assuming his role, Prof. Jhunjhunwala shared his vision for the institute, emphasizing the expansion of horizons while maintaining IIIT-H’s reputation as a hub for technological innovation and education.

In each district, participants in the quiz competition will have the opportunity to win cash awards, with the top three prizes totaling Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000, and Rs 3,000, respectively. Additionally, all participants will receive e-certificates as tokens of recognition for their participation.

Krishna Aditya Sriramsetti, the member-secretary of TSPCB, has urged students to actively participate in the quiz, which will be open for registration and participation from September 1 to September 30. The quiz can be accessed through the official website of TSPCB at www.tspcb.cgg.gov.in.
