Recently dusky siren Trisha who is quite excited about making her comeback into Telugu movies with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, has announced that she is leaving the film. She has tweeted the role that is promised to her is different from the one she’s going to do now, and hence she took the exit route.

Though none of the team members has spoken about it till now, Megastar Chiranjeevi has clarified about it in his recently interview to an English Daily. “I don’t know why Trisha said it that way, but there is no truth in it. Even my daughter Sushmita has designed dresses for her and they did trials too. But recently she signed Maniratnam’s movie and as she couldn’t accommodate dates to that film by doing Acharya, she has exited our film” he said.

While Chiru hasn’t clarified that the arrival of Kajal Aggarwal, it’s confirmed that she is aboard and will start taking part in the shoot after the lockdown gets lifted. Meanwhile, after listening to Chiru, one will wonder if Trisha lied about her exit because there is no reason that Megastasr will lie about such trivial things.

The milestones being touched by the COVID-19 positive cases being registered in India are actually painting a gloomy picture. Today, if we look at the numbers, Maharashtra has 1018 cases and both Delhi, Kerala has 576 and 336 cases respectively, as India headed into the 5000 clubs with 5351 cases (4,789 being the officially announced figure).

There are 4739 active cases in them while 455 recovered from the virus infection and 157 died due to it. Maharashtra has seen 150 new cases today with 888 total number of active cases from 1018 confirmed total cases and Tamil Nadu has 69 new cases with 644 active cases from 690 total cases.

Andhra Pradesh has less number of new cases today, 11 with a total number of 314 cases and 3 deaths. The number of coronavirus cases in Telangana is not slowing down as the state has more than 40 new cases today making it a total of 404.

Right now, more and more testing is being done everywhere which is projecting that the cases will be doubled very soon. On that note, many asymptomatic and fresh cases might be caused by community spreading will be out.

Right now, India is under the 21-day lockdown since March 25 and many states have proposed the lockdown be extended for a couple of months more. Going by the numbers, it looks like Centre will also favor the extension of lockdown only.

Baby Boy Died Due to Coronavirus

On April 5, a 14-month-old baby boy was tested positive for coronavirus in Gujarat’s Jamnagar district. Unfortunately, the baby died on 7 April evening after suffering from multiple organ failure. Moreover, the baby and his parents who are a migrant labourer-couple have no traveling history.

The health official release read that the baby boy died at a government hospital in Jamnagar. Ever since he was admitted in the hospital, the boy’s condition was extremely critical and lived on ventilator support for two days.

Eventually, the 14-month-old died due to multiple organ failure and becomes the youngest patient to succumb to COVID-19 in Gujarat. With this case, the death toll has risen to 16 in the state.

It is said that the authorities had tried tracing the source of his infection but failed. His parents are from Uttar Pradesh who work as labourers in factories. Currently, Gujarat has 175 positive coronavirus cases.

All Ministers Suggest the Extension Of Lockdown

India has seen a dramatic surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the last few days. Over the last 24 hours, the country registered 508 new coronavirus cases, taking the total to 4,789. The number of deaths rose to 124, showed health ministry data.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, whose state has been hit by a rash of cases tied to a Muslim religious gathering in Delhi last month, said the country could take the hit to the economy and that it was more important to save lives. The three-week lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Mach 24, is expected to end on April 14.

But with the number of coronavirus cases showing a steady rise, several states, including BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, has indicated that they would prefer an extension. While government sources said it is considering the states’ proposal, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar yesterday said a decision would be taken “in the national interest” at the right time.

Turning the on-going speculations true, Allu Arjun’s upcoming film with versatile director Sukumar has been titled as Pushpa. Malayalam Music composer M.K. Arjunan is no more

M.K. Arjunan, the last of the composers from the golden period of Malayalam cinema, died at Kochi in the early hours of Monday. He was 84.

In career that spanned over five decades, he tuned about 700 songs, many of them among the biggest hits of all time. His songs were celebrated as much as those of great composers like G. Devarajan (who was also his guru), M.S. Baburaj, V. Dakshinamoorthy and K. Raghavan.

Some of his songs were so good, many believed they were tuned by Devarajan, one of the most prolific and gifted composers of Indian cinema.

Arjunan may have been influenced by the style of his guru, but he never copied any of his tunes, or of anybody else for that matter. He belonged to an era when Malayalam film music had so many original tunes composed by some brilliantly original music directors.

His famous tunes include Yadukula rathidevane vide… (Rest House), Kasthoori manakkunnallo kaatte… (Picnic), Nin maniyarayile… (CID Nazir), Chandrarashmi than… (Anweshansm), Sukhamoru bindu…(Ithu Manushyano), Chembaka thaikal pootha… (Kathirunna Nimiaham), Kuyilinte maninaadam… (Padmavyooham) and Mallikappoovin madhura gandham… (Honeymoon).

Arjunan was among the first to notice the extraordinary gift of A.R. Rahman. He had made the prodigy play the keyboard for him.

WhatsApp announced a New stricter limit on forwarding messages

To slow the spread of misinformation via its platform, WhatsApp on Tuesday announced a new stricter limit on forwarding messages. Now, frequently forwarded messages — those which have been previously forwarded five times or more, can only be forwarded to one chat at a time.

“With billions of people unable to see their friends and family in person due to COVID-19, people are relying on WhatsApp more than ever to communicate. People are talking to doctors, teachers, and isolated loved ones via WhatsApp during this crisis,” the Facebook-owned firm said in a blog.

It, however, added that, “…we’ve seen a significant increase in the amount of forwarding which users have told us can feel overwhelming and can contribute to the spread of misinformation. We believe it’s important to slow the spread of these messages down to keep WhatsApp a place for personal conversation.”

WhatsApp said that its previous move to reduced limit on forwarded messages to constrain virality led to a 25% decrease in message forwards globally at the time.

The company had in 2018 started testing the forwarding limit of five chats at once in India, where people forward more messages, photos, and videos than any other country in the world. The forward limit was later introduced around the world in 2019.

The company had also started labeling messages that have been forwarded many times with double arrows to indicate they did not originate from a close contact. “In effect, these messages are less personal compared to typical messages sent on WhatsApp. We are now introducing a limit so that these messages can only be forwarded to one chat at a time,” it said.

In addition, the company said it is working directly with NGOs and governments, including the World Health Organization and over 20 national health ministries, to help connect people with accurate information.
