Saudi Arabia on Monday lifted 35 years-long bans on cinemas, part of a series of social reforms by the powerful crown prince that is shaking up the ultra-conservative kingdom. Licensing cinemas were the first step taken by the government and the first movie theatres are expected to open next March, in a decision that could boost the kingdom’s promising film industry.
Reviving cinemas would represent a paradigm move in the kingdom, which is promoting entertainment as a part of a sweeping reform plan for a post-oil era, despite opposition from hardliners who have long belittled movie theatres as vulgar and sinful.
In a statement, the culture and information ministry said, commercial cinemas will be allowed to function in the kingdom by early 2018, for the first time in 35 years, marks a breaking point in the development of the cultural economy in the kingdom. The information minister Awwad Alawwad also said that Saudi Arabia is expected to have more than 300 cinemas with over 2000 screens across the kingdom by 2030.

Ram Charan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Rangasthalam’. Akkineni Samantha will be seen opposite Ram Charan in the film. The film is being directed by ace Director Sukumar and producer on ‘Mythri Movies’ banner. The production company was tight-lipped even though a couple of still have been trending on online for the past few weeks.
And recently, four shooting stills from ‘Rangasthalam’ took social networking sites and micro-blogging site Twitter, by storm. Everyone thought that these photos might have been released by the production team itself, to raise the expectations on the film.
But shockingly, T. Laxman Rao, Production Manager, Mythri Movies has officially lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police Department, Hyderabad. In his complaint, he stated that;
“We had to face an unofficial release of 4 movie stills by some unidentified people. We are suspecting that it may not stop here with a couple of still photos and are afraid of other material they might have with them. it affects a lot of promotional activities of the film as subsequent stages. So, sir please investigate the issue and do the needed.”
And interestingly, the leaked stills create more hype and expectations for the film. The film is slated to release on 30th March 2018.

The explosion took place beneath the area of the Port Authority bus terminal and New York’s Times Square had led to the arrest of one suspect and a mass evacuation of the subway system in midtown Manhattan.
Though the injuries were small and minor in nature, it is reported several people were hurt in the explosion. The New York Police Department on Monday confirmed shortly before 8 AM that officers received numerous calls about the reports of an explosion at 42nd Street and 8thAvenue.
The reaction is centered in the area of the Port Authority bus terminal, leading to delays along the subway lines that pass beneath the bus terminal. Some passengers were asked to leave the place as a precautionary measure.
After examining the ground situation, the New York City Police Commissioner has called the subway pipe-bombing as a terror-related incident. Police officials have identified the suspect as a 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, who was inspired by the Islamic State ideology and is said to be Bangladeshi descent, who lives in Brooklyn.
While Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill labeled it as an attempted terror attack and thanked God for the offender did not achieve his ultimate goals.

It is a recording breaking temperatures to note this year. A minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ginnedari of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district in the last 24 hours. In few districts like Sangareddy and Medak, temperatures of around 8.2 degrees Celsius were recorded making this year most chilly as far as Telangana State is concerned.
This year the temperatures definitely have dipped to last year’s records. In the state capital, Hyderabad city, the temperature dipped to 12.7 degrees Celsius. This is by far the lowest recorded temperature so far this year. Officials of the local weather bureau said, that last year during the same month, the lowest recorded temperature was 10.9 degrees Celsius and that too that was recorded towards the end of the month.
The director of Indian Meteorological Department, Mr.Y.K. Reddy said, the temperature will continue to fall and stay low for the next two days due to the effect of the northeastern winds over the state and we all can find a noticeable chill in the air.
It is interesting to note that additional dip of 2 degrees variation in certain parts of Hyderabad such as KBR Park, the University of Hyderabad, Osmania University, Agricultural University, and Some parts of Jubilee Hills. This difference is mainly due to the open spaces and lush greenery.

Shockingly, 15,000 have been auditioned for an upcoming Bollywood film. Many people might have heard of ‘Super 30’ class. Well-known mathematician, Anand Kumar teaches a specific set of 30 students for the IIT-JEE entrance examination.
The latest buzz is that Hrithik Roshan will be essaying the role of Anand Kumar in the upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Super 30’. Along with Hrithik Roshan, 30 kids will be representing the ‘Super 30’ batch in the movie too.
For this purpose, an audition has been recently conducted to select 30 kids aged between 15 – 17 years. Shockingly, 15000 kids have applied for the audition. These kids have been divided into various groups before the audition has started. In the first phase, 400 out of the 15000 kids have been selected. Later, 78 out of these 400 kids in the second phase.
‘In the final phase, we would be selecting the 30 kids. Selecting kids is not a problem. We cannot teach them how to act. We can only teach them the basics of acting,’ said Casting Director Mukesh Chhabra.
The film’s shooting will commence from 2018. The film is slated to release on 23rd of November, 2017. The film is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films.

The final designs for Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Andhra Pradesh High Court Complex in the capital, Amaravati will be finalized on Wednesday, 13th of December, 2017. In this regard, The Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu is likely to spend a lot of time in concluding the final designs. The Chief Minister will be meeting the representatives of Norman Foster Company (Architecture Company), Minister Narayana and CRDA Officials to learn about the overall designing aspects of the AP Assembly and High Court Complex.

Everyone was initially skeptical after it was revealed that Keerthi Suresh will be reprising the Legendary actress Savithri in the film ‘Mahanati’. Well-known comedian and actor Vijay Sai has committed suicide today morning. the incident came to light today morning after the actor failed to open the door. Going by the reports, it is understood that the actor hanged himself to death using a saree to the ceiling fan.
At the time of the incident, no was reportedly present in the actor’s house. Vijay Sai is living with his family in a residential flat in Yousufguda, Hyderabad for a long time. ‘He has been under severe depression for the past year or so. He hasn’t been receiving any film offers lately. Maybe this could be one of the reasons for him to commit suicide,’ said his friends. Others have claimed that his disputes with his wife might have forced him to take this decision.
Vijay Sai is well-known for playing the lead role in the film ‘Ammayilu Abbayilu’ directed by Ravi Babu. He also acted in films like Swathi Kiranam, Nuvve Kavali, Chiru Jhallu, Okariki Okaru, Bommarillu, Varaprasad Potti Prasad and many others.
