‘My brother married an Orugallu girl, and he is happy with his wife and two kids. Even I want to marry an Orugallu girl’, said the star hero.

He posed for selfies with his fans and uttered few dialogues from Arjun Reddy, which drove fans wild and crazy. Post that, he visited local MLA Erraballi Dayakar Rao and spent some good time. Vijay Devarakonda’s next movie is a love story, under Geetha Arts banner.

He was often credited with the Academy (Oscar) Award for the ‘Best Comedian’ for his hilarious stunts and dialogues. In an interview, Balakrishna self-criticized himself for accepting such kind of stunts and took it in a lighter tone. Even though his heroic acts have reduced to a good bit, his comments are reminding everyone of his past.

Speaking in an interview, the Nandamuri hero thanked his fans for making ‘Jai Simha’ movie a big hit, that released for the Sankranti. In a typical cinematic fashion and dialogue diction, Balakrishna said, ‘Mana Dhanulu mana Telugu vallu…. Abhimaana dhanulu naa Abhimanyu’.

While this has been received well by the Nandamuri fans, netizens started trolling the comments. ‘How could one claim Jai Simha to be hit, where the lion (Simha) failed to even meow like a domestic cat,’ said a Twitterati.

Another netizen went ahead, and said, ‘thank god! Balayya did not say Jai Simha is an Industry hit’. It is true that the interview was meant for promoting the film. But it made Balayya look like a butt of jokes.Jai Simha received mixed reviews, with moviegoers calling it a below-average film.

After staggering premier collections, Agnyaathavaasi fell flat and headed deep into pothole thanks to its lame comedy and poor screenplay. The Pawan Kalyan starrer collected $1.51M even before its release, only second to Baahubali – The Conclusion. The film’s collections fell to mere $44,600 on its third day. Even Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Jai Simha’ did not have a great run at the US box-office.

But what about these film’s performance in the Telugu states? This is where NBK overtook PK by a good margin. Though Jai Simha did not receive great reviews, the film managed to hold, thanks to its mediocre family melodrama. Unlike Agnyaathavaasi which had sky-high expectations, Balayya’s film released amid decent expectations.

According to reports, Balakrishna’s ‘Jai Simha’ collected 30% of its investment on its first day. With promotion and production costs, overall budget of the film touched the Rs. 30-crore mark. The film reportedly collected Rs. 6.84 crores as distributor share on its first day. The producer is expected to be safe, as digital and satellite rights fetched him over Rs. 7 crores. Another reason for low-openings is the disaster of Paisa Vasool from Balakrishna.

Given the budget limitation and collections, it is clear that Nandamuri Balakrishna has overtaken Pawan Kalyan this time around at the Tollywood box-office. But unfortunately, the greatest loser, in this case, happens to be the Telugu film audience.

Right from the very moment the first look from ‘Gayathri’ released, it has surprised everyone in the film industry. The ferociousness in his eyes, the fearlessness in his looks sent shivers down the spine. This look alone revealed the theme and his character’s impact on the movie.

With the teaser, Mohanbabu once again made a deep impact in the audience mind. His dialogue diction and facial expression blistered the rest of the elements in each frame. It looks like the director has made the best use of his strong ability of dialogue delivery to peaks, in this movie. Though he is seen portraying a diabolic role with ruthlessness at his disposal, and power in his control, his character representation speaks volumes.

This dialogue is alone enough to speak volumes about the upcoming film. The BGM from Thaman is absolutely terrific and adds more muscle to Mohababu’s dialogue, and fear into the audience.

Even before the commencement of ‘Sye Raa… Narasimha Reddy’ shooting, the film generated huge hype in the Tollywood film circles. Megastar Chiranjeevi too sported a unique look, with a complete beard. Chiranjeevi is reprising the role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who is recognized as the first Indian freedom fighter from Andhra Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi’s new look comes as a pleasant surprise to everyone at the ‘Juvva’ teaser release function. He was seen with a complete clean shave, without beard and mustache. ‘Sye Ra…’ movie recently completed its first shooting schedule. Key actions sequences on Chiranjeevi were shot. The shooting took place in a specially erected set in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The second schedule will begin in a week or two.

The Visual Effects team will be scanning Chiranjeevi’s face, using 3D Mapping and Imaging technology to use in the movie. This will allow the visual effects team to start the CG (Computer Graphics) works of the movie. Chiranjeevi was spotted without a beard during the new year celebrations. G Balamurugan transferred a sum of Rs. 41 lakhs to Shruti Patel’s account, after the actress told him her mother was undergoing treatment for a heart ailment, and she was undergoing treatment for a brain tumour. The money has been transferred between May 2017 and Jan 01, 2018 in instalments. G Balamurugan who shared the pictures of the actress, with friends and the family, came to know he was conned after they informed him that, she robbed several others.

It is not new for filmmakers to make some repairs to feature films, post their release. Thanks to the satellite theatres, which allows changes to be incorporated into the film, even after its release, with ease. The same is the case with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi, which completely back-fired at the box-office.            

Though the film’s runtime is less than 150mins, the pale screenplay and lame comedy tested the audience patience. The makers have decided to make carry out repair-work, to make the film more appealing. It is already announced that Venkatesh’s part, spanning over 4mins, will be added to the film on Pongal. Along with the addition, the makers are planning to chop of 12mins of runtime from the film.

 

Few unwanted and lame comedy scenes will make the 12min-cut. This leaves the film with a total runtime of 140mins (after adding 4mins and deducting 12mins to the previous 148min run time). The production house also released a making video of Venkatesh’s comedy scenes.This means Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi will be visiting Janatha Garage. Let us whether the repaired version will be appealing to the already disappointed audience.

Trade analysts expected that Agnyaathavaasi to create box-office records, while Jai Simha to be an average film. Raj Tharun is yet to come with the low-budget film, Rangula Ratnam on Jan 14th.

Who is the biggest loser here? It is Ram Charan. Yes, Ram Charan Teja turned out to be the sore loser for Sankranti. After it is confirmed that Agnyaathavaasi will be releasing on Jan 10th, the makers of Ram Charan ‘Rangasthalam’ postponed the film to March end. With Pawan’s and Balakrishna’s film bombing at the box office, Ram Charan would have had a great run with his film.

For the first time, Ram Charan is sporting a pure mass look. Rangasthalam is set in a village backdrop, and has all the elements of a typical Telugu commercial movie, with great screenplay and direction from Sukumar. Ram Charan’s film would have grossed Rs. 100 crores with ease, even if it had fared decently at the box-office.

After the disastrous outing of Agnyaathavaasi at the box-office, Twitteratis did not waste a minute to lash out at the film’s crew. Shockingly, Pawan Kalyan was spared (only God should be knowing the reason why), and director Trivikram Srinivas became the center of attraction.

The film critic who shared his review of the movie, with a small tweet, later came up with a 2-hour review, for the 2:30 hour film. Soon, he was joined by Ram Gopal Varma, who took some time to come up with a unique poster called ‘Bahiranga Vaasi’, trolling the PK starter ‘Agnyaathavaasi’.

Further elaborating his post, RGV said, ‘if PK (Pawan Kalyan) is Agnyaathavaasi, who is in exile, I’m Bahiranga Vaasi, someone who speaks about many things openly’. The tweet received thousands of likes and re-tweets in a short span of time. On the first day of the movie’s release, RGV also hailed Kathi Mahesh’s analysis of the movie.
