Piracy has become a major problem in Indian film industry. Irrespective of the film, and film industry, one can find the pirated version of the movie on online within a day or two.

Leave alone small-budget films, even with films with 100+ crore budgets have been the victims of piracy despite many precautionary measures. Due to piracy, the Indian film industry loses thousands of crores annually.

A website called ‘Tamil Rockers’ is known for releasing a pirated copy of a film within two days of its release. In a shocking video, a producer says, he is ok if his film is pirated. But he is only requesting to delay the piracy of his film. The producer is reportedly RD Raja who has produced the film ‘Velaikkaran’ recently.

During a press meet, the producer literally begged to stop the piracy of his film. During his addressing, he made some shocking statements. In a that went viral, the producer said ‘I cannot stop piracy. No anyone in this industry can. We don’t know who is illegally recording the movie. So I kindly request the Tamil Rockers website and other online sites not to pirate my movie. Don’t pirate the film immediately. Do delay the process.’

This clearly shows the current situation of the film producers. No wonder they are scared to hell of piracy.

It is known that Akkineni Nageswara Rao started the Annapurna Studios. The legendary actor produced many films from the same banner in the past. After Nageshwar Rao, his son, Tollywood hero and businessman Akkineni Nagarjuna took over Annapurna Studios. He has produced some successful films like Manam, Mass, Manmadhudu and Rajanna. His sister, Naga Susheela started her own banner under the name ‘Sri Nag Corporation’ way back in 2008.

Given the deep sentiment of the ‘Manam’ film, Akkineni Nagarjuna started his own production house under the name ‘Manam Enterprises’. The production house already registered two titles.

The latest buzz is that the new daughter-in-law of the house and wife of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, heroine Samantha is gearing up to start her own production house. After receiving support from Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, Samantha came up with the idea. The production house is named after Samantha and Naga Chaitanya as ‘SN Productions’. It is also heard that Samantha is making preparations to produce the first film from the production house at an estimated budget of Rs. 10 Crores. Naga Chaitanya will be helping Samantha in handling the production department initially.

One has to wait and see how far will this new movie production house from the Akkineni family fares.

During his recent political tour and also at the audio launch function of his movie, Agnathavasi Pawan Kalyan made so many accusations about many people and that too taking their names individually. But a stoic silence has been maintained so far by those who received criticisms from Pawan Kalyan.

At the Chalo Re Chal political tour, Pawan outwardly alleged that Parakala Prabhakar is a backstabber who left Chiranjeevi in his tough times. He further blamed that Parakala made cheap and insensible comments on Chiru after exiting from Praja Rajyam Party. He also explained why he couldn’t speak during the last days of PRP. This he said, is due to Allu Aravind looking at him as only an actor and not a politician with an insight. He also shared, he was treated like Ram Charan and Allu Arjun which hurt him a lot.

Powerstar did not just stop his fire bolts at the political event, he launched rockets at Agnathavasi audio event as well. He spoke in large about how few producers exploited his films for commercial gains.

Shockingly, none of them whom Pawan pointed or the ones indirectly hinted by him opened their mouths. Are they waiting for right time and opportunity to voice their opinion and counter Pawan or should we think that Pawan is right since these people are silent?

Natural Star Nani as he affectionately called by his fans and film industry, is surely on cloud nine after his eight blockbuster movie with Middle-Class Abbayi. His Christmas celebrations started a week ahead due to his MCA success. The actor is busy with his new movie that was narrated to him by debutant Prashant Varma and he decided to produce it immediately.The movie has so many important actors acting in lead roles in the movie. Now, the actor’s first look has been uncovered and he will be playing a humanitarian fish in the film.

It is learned that Nani has lent his voice to the role and the makers unveiled the first poster of his role in the movie which is titled Awe. Nithya Menon, Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Priyadarshini, Eesha Rebba, Murali Sharma, Srinivas Avasarala are few of the lead actors in the film which is presently in the final shooting stage.

The film is slated to release in February 2018 and Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema is producing the film. We all know, while Nani is lending his voice to the fish in the movie, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is extending his voice for the plant. The concept sounds interesting and it became an exciting topic for all fans with so much star cast involved but everyone predicts the movie is surely a message oriented.

Nani’s recent film ‘MCA – Middle Class Abbayi’ released on 21st December 2017. The film received a mixed response from the audience. Though online media portals bashed the film for its poor content and weak story, the on-ground audience has rated the film average. The film managed to impress the family audience, which is the main strength of any Dil Raju film.

Given the combination of Nani and Sai Pallavi, along with actors like Bhumika Chawla, the film has managed to hold its ground on the third day. Many films that have received average talk have bombed at the box office. But surprisingly Nani’s MCA is still going strong despite some competition from Hello.

The film struck gold with largest openings in Nani’s career so far. Producer Dil Raju is expecting that the film can make more collections given the upcoming weekend. The distributors who were slightly tensed given after the film received a negative talk on social media are now relaxed given the increasing collections.With no other films in the race until 2018 Sankranti, trade experts are hoping that MCA’s collections will continue for the next 2 weeks.

‘Mass Maharaj’ Ravi Teja is back after a two-year break with the film ‘Raja the Great’. The film truly marked the beginning of Ravi Teja’s second innings. The star hero is one a spree of making films. This time he is being extremely careful in choosing his subjects. He is currently starring in the film ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’. The film was initially slated to release for 2018 Sankranti in January. The latest buzz is that the film’s release is being postponed for some reasons.

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnathavasi’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Jayasimha’ are already in the Sankranti race. It is understood that the producers of ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ and Ravi Teja himself have felt that it would be a risky move to release the film amid these films.

The film unit has changed its release date to January 25, one day before Ravi Teja’s birthday (January 26th). This move is made to take advantage of the opening day collections. Anushka’s ‘Bhagamathi’ and other films too are releasing on January 26th, which means there could be a huge drop in collections if Ravi Teja’s film is released on the same day.

One has to wait and see whether any other film can play a spoilsport in Ravi Teja’s ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ collections.

‘Web Series’ has become the latest trend in Telugu Film Industry. Many prominent actors and directors are getting themselves involved with short film and web series from the past couple of years. Even heroes like Rana have acted in short films in the past. Recently, Ram Gopal Varma came up with ‘Kadapa’ web series, while Puri Jagannath is coming up with the short film ‘HUG’.

The latest entry into the world of web series’ and short films is a mega hero, ‘Supreme Star’ Sai Dharam Tej. Though the mega hero has 4 – 5 films in his basket, he agreed to act in a short film on a request of his close friend. The shooting is currently in progress.

The title ‘Nenu Mee Kalyan’ has been fixed for the upcoming web series. It is clear that Sai Dharam Tej would be playing the lead role as the hero in the short film. Tej is also currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Dharma Bhai’ under VV Vinayak and is currently in Oman for the film’s shooting. It is most likely that Sai Dharma would act in the web series once he comes back to Hyderabad. The theme of the web series is known to be on the lines of love and friendship.

Avasarala Srinivas entered into Telugu Industry as a comedian. He ventured into direction with films like Oohalu Gusagusalade and Jyo Achutananda. Oohalu Gusagusalade became one of the biggest hits in the year 2014, while Jyo Achutananda fared decently at the box office. He has received critical acclaim both his directorial and script writing skills.

In an interview with a daily tabloid, Avasarala stated clearly that he is not keen to direct films with star heroes.

Usually, any director wants to make films with a star hero to gain immense popularity and craze. But Avasarala is far different. The actor-cum-director wants to make films with upcoming heroes and asmall cast to prove his mettle as a director. When asked about the reason for his different, Avasarala came up with a logical explanation.

‘If I rope in star hero, I might be forced to change my scripts. I need to take the stardom and a lot more into consideration. I might even end up changing the script, or the story losing its essence. I believe in my story and filmmaking. My film’s don’t run on the hero’s image’, said Avasarala. 

He is currently gearing up for his third directorial venture. The upcoming film would go onto sets from February 2018.

The greatest competitor to the yesteryear actress Mahanati Savithri is none other than Jamuna. She is born in Hampi and raised in Tenali and Duggirala and she has grown up into a beautiful girl who was advised by none other than Savithri to join the films.

In her recent interview on the TV, the 81-year-old Jamuna shared so many interesting things in her connection with the city Hyderabad. She started her career at the age of 16, to become a heroine through the movie “Puttillu” in the year 1952. She later acted in almost 200 films. Talking about Film Industry in Hyderabad, she stated that she is the first heroine of this city. We all wonder how, so let’s take a look at it.

There is also a famous belief that the Telugu Film Industry moved to Hyderabad big time after Akkineni established Annapurna Studios in the year 1975.But it first came through Sarathi Studios that was established here in 1959. Their first film to be shot here is “Ma Inti Mahalakshmi” and I’m the heroine in the movie, she says. Produced by Gangadhara Rao, she says she acted in another two films pellikani pillars and Jalsarayudu here. So in that way, I’m the first heroine to come to Hyderabad though it was jungle here back then, said Jamuna.
