The whole Telugu Film Industry is currently focused on NTR’s biopic. After the little interruption caused by the controversy of Nandi Awards, all the focus and attention is back onto NTR’s biopic. It is being rumoured that Ram Gopal Varma who is busy with the pre-production work of his upcoming film Nagarjuna, is also supervising the acting-workshop underway for his ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ lead actors. With RGV recently rubbishing the rumours on Amitabh in his film, one has to wait for this update regarding the present rumour.
On the other hand, Kethireddy has almost confirmed the actors for the lead roles in his film ‘Lakshmi’s Veeragrandham’. The director has selected Pooja Kumar (Garuda Vega fame) to reprise the role of Lakshmi Parvathi and is looking to cast Manoj Manjrekar in the role of NTR. It is really
It is pretty obvious for Kethireddy to select someone from another film industry to play the role of NTR in his film. No one in Telugu Industry would probably come forward to reprise the role of NTR knowing that Kethireddy’s film is inclined towards the erotic genre.
One has to wait and watch how far will Manoj Manjrekar be able to render the body language of the legendary NTR on the screen.

Everyone knows the controversy surrounding the Nandi Awards that were announced recently. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s role as the Jury member came under scrutiny after he was credited as the ‘Best Actor’ and his film ‘Legend’ went on to win ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Director’ awards. Many people also expressed that Mega family was completely ignored
Few sections in the film industry stated that ‘it is really shocking that good films were not appreciated. Instead, films that projected action and violence received the prestigious award.’
The Nandi Awards Jury has finally responded why ‘Manam’ was not awarded the as the best film. ‘Any film that represents the concept of reincarnation or ghosts will not be considered under the postulated rules for the Best Film award,’ said the Jury.
Post the press statement, Nandi Awards Jury has come under severe scrutiny after Akkineni Fans accused the Jury of being biased. ‘The Jury is biased and is showing prejudice while declaring the awards. Manam is one such film that will remain forever in Telugu Film Industry,’ said an association leader. Certain sections of the film industry expressed shock after ‘Manam’ was not credited as the best film.

It looks like the row over the Nandi Awards isn’t going to settle down in the near future. This time it is the turn of Akkineni Fans to express their dissatisfaction over the Nandi Award Jury. Personnel from the film industry and media houses have expressed concerns over the current selection of movies by the Jury for the Nandi Awards. With the announcement of Nandi Awards becoming controversial, many people were taken back by the recent developments.

On the other hand, many claimed that the awards were given to achieve political gain, rather than appreciating the talent. After Bunny Vasu’s controversial comments, now it is Akkineni fans who took Nandi Awards Row to another level.
‘They have insulted the team of Manam by credited it as a 2nd best film for the year 2014. We have no idea how did Legend went on to become the best film. It doesn’t have any message except extreme violence and killing all throughout the film. It would have been a true respect if ‘Manam’ was chosen as the best film of 2014,’ said Akkineni Fans.
The Nandi Awards are equally being criticized even by the common audience. Meanwhile, Akkineni Nagarjuna expressed his happiness after ‘Manam’ was awarded as the 2nd best film.

Garuda Vega is busy raking up the collections in its final days at the box office. But it looks like a new controversy is troubling the Garuda Vega team. After becoming a blockbuster at the box office, the film’s remake rights, dubbing rights, online rights and digital rights acquired high demand from various sections.
The issue started when Jeevitha wanted to sell the digital rights to a new company that made a higher offer. She has already sold the digital rights to a company at the time of the release of the film. Simultaneously, the producer of the film, Koteswar Rao claimed that Digital Rights of the film are with him.
A rumour is also spread that Koteswar Rao has even taken advance from a company for the film’s digital rights. Joining these three, a person who claims to have financed the movie has also come forward stating that he also has a share in the Film’s digital rights. From what seemed like a ‘paisa vasool’ the film is also standing for its Digital Rights controversy after 4 people claiming for their share in the revenue.
On the other hand, Jeevitha has stated that Koteswar Rao has come out of the production of the film, and he has got nothing to do the film anymore. The recent controversy has become a hot topic among the Telugu film circles.

Producer Bunny Vasu, who is known as a close associate to Allu Aravind and Mega family has fired on the Andhra Pradesh State Government. The producer stated, ‘It looks like the Mega heroes need to learn acting from the Andhra Pradesh State Government.’

These remarks have come in the wake of budding controversy about the Nandi Awards which were announced by the AP State Government recently. Bunny Vasu clearly conveyed his frustration after no one in the Mega family was awarded the Nandi Award. It looks like Bunny Vasu forgot about Megastar Chiranjeevi bestowed with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.
Though the producer did not make any remarks about whom he was referring too, it is clearly understood that his remarks referred Balakrishna’s ‘Legend’ movie. The film grabbed Nandi Awards for best movie, best director and best actor for the year 2014. Many film critics expressed that, it would have been sensible on the part of Bunny Vasu if he had been more precise in pointing a hero, whom he feels might have acted better than those conferred with the award.

This is not the first time that the AP Govt. faced criticism in the context of awarding ‘Nandi Awards’. The same has happened in the past and will also happen in the future.
