Kanika Kapoor tested positive for coronavirus the third time

sanjay Gandhi PGIMS, where Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor is being treated for Covid-19, on Friday said that she has tested positive in her third test as well.

She had tested positive for coronavirus for the second time on March 23, following her first positive test on March 20.

Earlier, Lucknow police booked Kanika on charges of negligence for attending various social events in the city despite being infected with coronavirus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home.

She has been booked under Sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station in the city. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the chief medical officer (CMG) of Lucknow.

The total number of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in the country rose to 724 on Friday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

On March 25, SS Rajamouli surprised the audience by releasing the motion poster of his much-expected film, RRR. He said that the team came up with such a decision only to lift the spirits of everyone at the time of the novel coronavirus crisis.

Now, speculations are rife on the internet that Thalapathy Vijay has been roped in to play a cameo in RRR. Reports also suggest that the Master star will be shooting for the film in May and Rajamouli is likely to make an announcement regarding the same in the coming week.

However, when IndiaToday.in contacted a source close to the actor, they denied it saying, “The actor is not a part of RRR. These are baseless rumours. He will announce his next post the release of Master.”

There are also reports that the actor might team up with director AR Murugadoss for his 65th film.Meanwhile, Rajamouli’s RRR motion poster, featuring Ram Charan Teja and Jr NTR garnered a positive response among the netizens. The one-minute video shows Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s characters as a representation of fire and water respectively.

The motion poster released in five languages, namely, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Many celebrities including Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt shared the motion poster video. As Ram Charan celebrates his 36th birthday today, his co-star, Jr NTR decided to surprise him with a gift. Stating that he could have celebrated his birthday under better circumstances, the Nannaku Prematho actor tweeted with the hashtag #BheemforRamaraju.

Going by the hashtag, Jr NTR’s gift could be Ram Charan’s look from RRR. His tweet read, “Bro @AlwaysRamCharan, I wish I could’ve celebrated your birthday under better circumstances. The announcement was supposed to be made at 10 am today, but it looks like there’s a slight delay. In another tweet, Jr NTR blamed SS Rajamouli for the delay.

He apologised to Ram Charan and wrote, “Sorry brother @AlwaysRamCharan. I sent your gift to Jakkanna @ssrajamouli last night for his opinion. Being Rajamouli, you know how it goes. Small delay.. (sic).”

Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on Friday donated Rs 50 lakh to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, which has so far claimed 17 Indian lives and wreaked havoc globally.

Tendulkar’s donation is so far the biggest contribution among India’s leading sportspersons, some of whom have pledged their salaries while a few others have donated medical equipment to fight the dreaded outbreak, which has caused more than 24,000 deaths globally.

“Sachin Tendulkar decided to contribute Rs 25 lakh each to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in his bid to join the fight against COVID-19. It was his decision that he wanted to contribute to both funds,” a source privy to the development, told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

Tendulkar has been associated with a lot of charity work and there has been umpteen times, he has taken up social causes, helped people, which has never been brought to public notice.

Among other prominent cricketers, the Pathan brothers — Irfan and Yusuf — donated 4000 face masks to Baroda police and health department while Mahendra Singh Dhoni, through a Pune based NGO, made a contribution of Rs 1 lakh.

The ‘Baby Doll’ singer had recently returned from London and is currently undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow. For a third time she has tested positive for coronavirus and SGPGIMS Director Prof RK Dhiman had stated that her treatment will continue until unless at least two tests show her negative.Legal action has also been initiated against the singer for negligence.

An FIR was lodged by Lucknow’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Narendra Kumar Agarwal against the singer at the Sarojini Nagar Police Station, under Sections 188 (disobedience of an order duly promulgated by a public servant), 269 (negligently acting in a way likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life), and 270 (malignant act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code. According to the Lucknow police, two more FIRs were registered against Kanika Kapoor at Hazratganj Police Station and at Gomti Nagar Police Station for negligence.

Salman Khan’s upcoming films are one of the most-awaited films of the year. While all shooting and all works related to the films in Bollywood have been come to a halt, following the coronavirus pandemic, reports were rife that editing of his film is still underway. Today, the production house of the actor has released an official statement on their social media handle stating that they have put all their operations on hold, following the 21-day lockdown announced by the Government of India.

Reports were rife that Salman was working from his Panvel farmhouse only to meet the film’s Eid release date which is May 22, 2020. While the film shoots have come to a halt the actor has been at his Panvel farmhouse and the reports further suggested that the farmhouse has been made into Radhe’s edit space from where the post-production is taking place.

However, Salman’s manager reportedly rubbished all such rumours. He also added that all their offices are shut for the safety of all. Reportedly, only a song featuring Salman and Disha is left to be shot for the film which will only happen after the spread of the coronavirus subsides.

India’s first Bollywood celebrity who tested positive for Covid-19 is none other than singer Kanika Kapoor.However, Kanika is yet to recover from Covid-19. In the latest test result, Kanika tested positive for Covid-19. This is the third time she got tested positive consecutively. The results came on Tuesday night. So, doctors are going to continue their treatment for Kanika.

Earlier, Kanika had tested positive on Sunday in the second Covid-19 test. Kanika Kapoor is currently undergoing treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow.

SGPGIMS Director Prof RK Dhiman confirmed the latest test result of Kanika. He assured that she would recover and he said the treatment would continue to Kanika until and unless she tests negative for two consecutive tests.
