It is reported that Rakhi Sawant has lodged a complaint and an FIR has been filed against the Rajput Karni Sena. Speaking to a media house, Rakhi Sawant stated that, ‘I have been getting repeated threat calls. The members of Rajput Karni Sena are making obscene remarks against me. They have also threatened me that they would be blackening my face’, said Rakhi Sawant.

It all started after Rakhi Sawant posted a video extending her support to ‘Padmavathi’. In the video, Rakhi was seen supporting the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and the other cast of the film. After this video became viral, the Rajput Karni Sena vowed that they would blacken Rakhi Sawant’s face for lending support to ‘Padmavathi’.

Rakhi further stated that ‘I am a citizen of this country, and I have every right to speak my mind. I have full faith in the Mumbai Police that they will protect me from these threats.’

She also stated that ‘Everyone should watch the film before protesting against it. I don’t think Bhansali has shown anything wrong.’

Everything seemed perfect between the Indian National Congress and Hardik Patel until the very last minute. Both the parties seemed like they have come to a common point. But the clash erupted at the last minute late into the night after Congress party has announced a list of 77 candidates including 2 candidates from Hardik Patel’s PAAS (Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti).

The clash took place at the office of Praful Togadia, Congress candidate from Patel dominated constituency of Varchcha Road in Surat. PAAS party members stated that ‘Congress declared the list the candidates even without consulting our core committee.’ Initially, according to an agreement with Congress, PAAS was to contest in 5 seats.

It was thought that Hardik Patel would be officially announcing the alliance of PAAS and Congress on Monday when the CM would be filing his nomination papers. With the widespread protests within PAAS, one has to wait and see whether Hardik would officially announce the alliance or not.

He said, ‘Deepika Padukone should know the real character of Rani Padmini who had performed Jauhar (burning alive in a fire). I will give 1 crore to anyone who forces Deepika Padukone to perform Jauhar’.

Recently, Kshatriya Samaj has announced a bounty of Rs. 5 crores for beheading Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The film’s release has been postponed after the CBCF refused to certify the film on the grounds of ‘incomplete application’. One of the producers, Viacom 18’s representative has recently announced that ‘the film will not be released on 1st of December. We respect the constitution and the CBFC. We are hoping that we would obtain all the obligatory permission for the release of the film.’

Late Ram Mohan Rao, then Chief of Doordarshan news Division shared an interesting fact. ‘I was having my breakfast on 31st of October 1984. My RAX (emergency) Telephone rang repeatedly. I heard HY Sarada Prasad, Advisor for Indira Gandhi. He said, Ram Mohan Rao, the Prime Minister has been shot by her security guards. She is critically injured. After a disastrous first inning in the first test between India and Sri Lanka, the Indian team bounced back. India was all-out for just 171 runs in their first innings, a touch below 60 overs. The Sri Lankan batsman managed to score 294 and took a decisive lead of 123 runs in the first innings. At the end of the fourth day, India remained in a strong position after the openers flourished with 50+ scores. The only victim to fall was Shrikar Dhawan who made elegant-94 before nicking the ball to the keeper in Shanaka bowling.

After the most part of the first two days was washed out because of bad weather conditions, a proper play continued on the third and fourth days. Sri Lanka who began their innings on the 3rdday continued to play into the 4th day. With Rangana Herath scoring a brisk 67 out 105 balls, the visitors managed to post a total of 294 from 201/7.

Indian pace bowlers Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami picked 4 wickets each, while Umesh Yadav picked 2 wickets. No spinner among the Indian bowlers picked a wicket.

India started their innings before an hour to the Tea break. It is the first time the Indian Openers had a century partnership in the 2nd innings of a test after 2010. Currently, KL Rahul 73* and CA Pujara 2* are in the crease. The play was called-off before the scheduled time due to bad light.

It is official. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Deepika Padukone, ‘Padmavathi’ film has been postponed. Which means, the film will not be releasing on December 1st as stated earlier. The film’s production unit has announced that the film has been postponed, and no new release date has been confirmed yet.

‘Padmavathi’ is yet to get a certificate from the CBFC – Central Board of Film Certification. Many people are expecting that this could be the possible reason for postponing the film. An official representative for Viacom 18 Motion Pictures said that ‘We respect the law and constitution, and CBFC. We are hoping that we will obtain all the obligatory permission required for the release of the film very soon.’

The CBFC rejected to certify the film by stating that ‘Application form’ was incomplete. CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi condemned the screening of the film to media personnel even before it’s certification. ‘Padmavathi’ has been involved in a lot of controversies right from the initial days of the production.

Most notably, the Karni Sena has raised serious objections about few scenes in the film. ‘In reality, Rani Padmini and Khilji never met. But this film even illustrates a love-story between the two. Such kind of content is deeply hurting us,’ said the Karni Sena protestors in the past. With CBFC yet to certify the film, the production unit had no other choice but to postpone the film. No ‘New-date of release’ has been announced yet.

After Aishwarya Rai (1994) and Priyanka Chopra (2000), Manushi Chhillar became the third Indian to win the beauty pageant. She has been crowned by the 2016 Miss World, Stephanie Del Valle from Puerto Rico.

The report has been provided by the Department of Defence’s SAPRO – Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office on Friday. According to the report, the US Army had the highest number of cases against them. A record of 8284 cases was filed against the US Army. The number of cases against Marine Corps was 3400, against the Air Force were 3876 and against the Navy were 4788.

The Pentagon observed the steep increase in people experiencing sexual assaults from 25% to 32% in 2013-2015 and 2016 years respectively.

The San Antonio based reported the highest number of sexual assaults with 881. The US Army holds the most number of sexual assault cases than any other country currently serving in the Afghanistan areas.

From 2013, Pentagon allowed the victims to seek legal help without reporting the sexual assault incident to the police and their command.

The South African batsman, 20-year-old, Shane Dadswell who plays for NWU Pukke Cricket Club has scored 490 runs in just 151 balls. His innings saw 57 sixes and 27 fours. In the 50-over one-day match between NWU Pukke and Potch Drop 1st, the batsman registered this amazing feat.

Interestingly, it was his birthday too. His team, NWU Pukke finished at 677/3 in 50 overs. His 3rd-wicket partner Ruan Haasbroek also scored 104 runs from just 52 balls with 6 sixes and 12 fours. In response, the Potch Drop 1st team managed to only score 290/9 in their 50 overs. The NWU Pukke team won the match by a margin of 387 runs.

54 Women from 1s semester an 3rd semester were fined Rs. 13.5 lakhs for ragging a girl. The incident came to light after the MCI – Medical Council of India has instructed the officials of DMCH – Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital, to take action against the students who were involved in the ragging.

An official of the DMCH said, ‘the ARC (Anti Ragging Committee) faced difficulty after none of the first semester students came forward to reveal that they were ragged by senior women. We quizzed the students to find the details and the names of those involved from the 3rd semester. All all the 27 students of the 1st semester and 27 students from the 3rd semester were fined as per the DMCH Anti-ragging rules. The students failed to report the incident and also tried to cover-up the whole thing.’

Further speaking to a media person, ‘We received an email from the MCI. And we have to act according to it. A fine of Rs. 25000 has been imposed on each student. Total of 54 students has been fined after we found out their involvement in the ragging incident.’

Mali, a military dog won highest gallantry award on Friday for continuing his duties, despite being severely injured in grenade blasts in Afghanistan in the year 2012. ‘The dog’s efforts helped British troops detect explosives and trace Taliban Militants, and almost died saving many lives of British soldiers’, stated the organization that awarded him.

Padmavathi can be credited as the ‘most’ controversial film of the year. After facing a severe backlash from Karni Sena in the north-west and BJP leaders in the north, the film is facing even from the south. The ‘Viswa Hindu Parishath’ of Chennai called for a ban on the release of the film in Tamil Nadu. The protesters from the organization warned that they would be staging protests in front of the theatres if the film is released.

Sivalingam, President of the ‘Viswa Hindu Parishath’ Organization, Kovai and Subh Dev Gill, President of All India Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena have released a joint statement together.

The film has been receiving severe backlash right from the day of the shooting. Many organizations, notably Karni Sena has been alleging that the film depicts Rajputs as inferior to Sultans. They also apparently stated that the characterization of Chittor Princess, Rani Padmini in the film is likely to hurt the sentiments of the people.
