As we all know, Mega Star Chiranjeevi who reigned Tollywood for decades has made his entry into politics with Praja Rajyam and later merged in the Congress party.

Chiranjeevi has an unprecedented craze and following in the masses even today as a film actor but he failed to garner that image in the political sphere. The people of Andhra who has been sidelined by the BJP for their personal agenda in the Union Budget has started agitations across the state. The agitations from the last two days have taken a new turn and even the faded out politicians have come up to raise their voice. But being a member of Rajya Sabha, Chiranjeevi has not given a single statement regarding the injustice done to the people of the state. His brother Pawan Kalyan who has floated Janasena party has been working restlessly and also initiated to form a JAC to solve the issues of A.P. All the parties has raised their voices regarding the injustice done by BJP and the Congress and communist parties as well has become active.

All the M.P’s are protesting in their means for the justice to the state and Chiranjeevi being a member of Rajya Sabha has not even attended the house. After making his re-entry in films, he is not at all showing any interest in politics. As of now, he is currently preparing for his upcoming film Sye Raa. This clearly indicates that Mega Star is completely detached from politics.

Sai Dharam Tej is one hero, despite seeing back-to-back flops, is still managing to hold mass fan following. He comes up as ‘Intelligent’ this time. VV Vinayak, who directed ‘Khaidi No.150’ the landmark 150th film of Megastar, directed ‘Intelligent’. Lavanya Tripathi played the female lead opposite to Sai Dharam Tej. Did Sai Dharam Tej impress the audience with ‘Intelligent’? Let’s see!

Story:

Teju (Sai Dharam Tej) is a software engineer working for an IT firm headed by Nassar. He is a sincere and honest employee and is lauded by everyone in his office. Similarly, even Nassar is a kind-hearted person and takes care of orphan children. It is at this time, a corporate mafia gang tries to overtake Nassar Company. Shockingly, Nassar transfers the company to the mafia gang and commits suicide.

To solve the mystery behind the death of Nassar, and the corporate mafia gang, Teju comes up with a new avatar; Dharma Bhai. Why are the corporate mafia gang behind Nassar’s Company? What forced Nassar to commit suicide? Did Teju as Dharma Bhai succeed in his mission? To know the answers, watch the movie on the silver screen.

Analysis:

On watching the film, you might end up feeling like the movie has been directed by a debutante. The movie is a big letdown on all fronts. It is hard to believe that, VV Vinayak who directed Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No. 150’ came up with such this kind of movie. What’s more shocking is that, VV Vinayak who is known for his out-and-out commercial hits, choosing this kind of run-of-the-mill storyline for Sai Dharam Tej who is currently struggling. The narration and screenplay hardly impress the audience.

The sentimental scenes are hardly engaging. Given the dull and boring narration, the heroism takes back seat. Action sequences are by far the only face-off for the director. Comedy, which plays a vital role in VV Vinayak’s film, failed to its best. Except for a couple of scenes from Sapthagiri and Prudhvi, there is no scope for laughs. Brahmanandam is utterly wasted. 

Just like in any other commercial film, the heroine, Lavanya Tripathi is only meant for her glamour show more than anything else.

Sai Dharam Tej does justice to his role as usual. His dance moves impress, while his fond imitation of Chiranjeevi might irritate at times.

The production values from CK productions match nowhere to the current standards. Music from SS Thaman, who seems to be in a good rhythm in recent times, is a clear letdown. Except for the remix of ‘Chamaku Chamaku Cham…’ and ‘Na Cell Phone’, the other two songs are just mere fillers. ‘Na Cell Phone’ is a lift-off from Backstreet Boys, ‘Everybody’. The cinematography is on par.

Drawbacks:

  • Excluding plus points, everything

Varun Tej who baked in the success of Fidaa for a long time is once again back to business to entertain the young audience with ‘Tholiprema’. Right from the title, (taken from Pawan Kalyan’s Tholiprema-1998), the film made its message clear and loud; a youthful love story. Raashi Khanna dazzled alongside Varun Tej for this movie. Did Tholiprema make an impact? Or just remained as another routine flick? Let’s know!

Story:

The director moves the story to and fro right from its first frame. While the movie starts in London, the plot starts with its flashback. Adi (Varun Tej) bumps into Varsha (Raashi Khanna) on a train journey in 2011. They both get on well with each other, and fall in love. Soon they end up in the same college and share some memorable moments. Unexpectedly, few uncalled events lead the beautiful pair into a breakup. With each other’s ways apart, time quickly clocks 6 years on the calendar.

Coming to the present, Adi is seen working for a company in London. Soon, Varsha also finds herself, not only in the same company but in the same team as Adi. The couple starts working on their lost relationship and realizes that the magic between them still exists. With a routine climax, the movie ends with the couple getting back together.

Analysis:

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Tholiprema is a cute love story. The concept of love-breakup-love sums up the whole movie. The movie rightly finds itself in the hearts of the current generation, who often break up with their beloved ones due to egos and other external factors. Though the film starts on a routine note, the chemistry between the lead pair draws us into the movie. The characterization of Varsha needs a special mention.

While the 1st half goes on a routine note, few moments like the Rakhee scene, and romance work very well. Two songs in the 1st half make it more appealing.

The second half, in comparison to the 1st half, falls flat. After a gap of 6 years, the lead-pair find themselves working in the same team. Hyper Adi comedy works a little. Adi keeps himself away from Varsha. But Varsha wants Adi desperately. With a turn of events, the love between them once again blossoms. The movie ends with a lip lock between Adi and Varsha.

It is true that one cannot expect any out-of-the world climax for a cute love story like this. But the director could have added depth to Adi’s character. The dialogues don’t make much impact in the second half.

Raashi Khanna glamour is bound to woo the audience of all classes. One a whole, go and watch the film without any expectations.  You will not be disappointed. And we warn you, don’t expect the magic of Pawan Kalyan’s Tholiprema.

Mohan Babu is regarded as one of the finest actors in Telugu cinema. After a long time, the actor is coming back with the movie ‘Gayathri’. Right from the movie’s promos, the film was hailed by Mohan Babu. The trailers further increased the expectations on the film. Gayathri released today alongside Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Intelligent’. Let us take a look whether Gayathri lived up to its promise or not.

Story:

Dasari Sivaji (Mohan Babu) is a stage artist by profession. He runs a small orphanage home for kids at his premises. In order to keep the orphanage home running, he goes to jail in the place of real criminals and gets paid for it. The reason for him to an orphanage for kids is, he comes to know that his daughter is also being raised in an orphanage. But Sivaji does not know who is his daughter, and in which orphanage is she living. By the time he comes to know about his daughter, she starts hating him. At this juncture, Sivaji is kidnapped. And he is also facing a death sentence in a case. Gayathri Patel (Mohan Babu) threatens that he would kill Sivaji’s daughter. Why is Gayathri Patel taking revenge on Sivaji? What led to the fight between both of them? What happens to Sivaji’s life? To know the answers, watch the movie in theatres.

Analysis:

The core points; father-daughter sentiment, and the concept of look-alike are strong, the plot around it is pretty week. Given the advancement of technology, there is no way that someone could fool the law enforcement authorities, and replace a criminal with minimal makeup effects. Even taken granted, in that case, the director fails to come up with a logical answer. This set back puts off the spectator throughout the film, and hardly impresses him.

The film did have some interesting twists. But the director failed to represent them on the screen with effect. Don’t blame us, if you recollect movies in the 19080s and 1990s. It looks like Mohan Babu’s fondness towards Father-Daughter sentiment might continue for another decade. His films ‘Khaidi Garu’, ‘Rayudu’ and now ‘Gayathri’ belong to the same genre.

Initially, Mohan Babu’s screen presence, dialogue diction might cover-up the weak story and screenplay. But, as the story moved on, even Mohan Babu couldn’t save it. Manchu Vishnu reprised the younger version of Sivaji quite well. But his addition to the movie doesn’t many any sense. Shreya, Nikhila Vimal (as Sivaji’s daughter), Anasuya, Ali and Brahmanandam have done justice to their roles.

Few sections of the audience can take a jibe at few dialogues in the movie. Especially dialogues targeting and referring Chandrababu’s comments might cause a stir among some fringe groups. Frankly, the absence of such dialogues wouldn’t have made much difference to the film. It is hard to believe that Madan, who wrote a story for ‘Aa Naluguru’ and directed ‘Pellaina Kotthalo’ came up with this kind of a film.

The central government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to be completely sidelined the state Andhra Pradesh.

As we all know, the entire state of A.P is utterly disappointed by the way the central government is treating the newborn state Andhra Pradesh. The protests all over the state are still going on regarding the injustice done in the allocation of Union Budget.

The M.P’s of the state and the people despite raising their voice against the injustice done by the BJP, the central core team seems to be completely ignoring it. As the agitations are even touching the pinnacle, the core committee of BJP which has held a meeting yesterday has discussed only its strategy to be implemented for upcoming elections of Karnataka.

None of the members of this high profile committee has addressed the ongoing agitations of the state. They would rather bother about the upcoming elections than the sentiments and emotions of the people of Andhra. The Finance Minister even claims loudly that he will do all the necessary help which has to be done but nothing is going to happen in reality.

The Prime Minister of India has given many assurances to the state from the past 4 years but nothing has materialized till date. The state of Andhra is still creeping with a revenue deficit and is in severe financial crisis. The central government which has to lend a helping hand to the state has failed miserably in this aspect.

Though the BJP might think that it has a good number in terms of majority, it has to keep in mind that the people of Andhra will no more entertain their political gimics. The UPA govt has bitten the dust in A.P from being the strongest hold to a complete zero. The NDA will also see such kind of result if they keep on doing injustice to the state.

Puri Jagannadh has announced via twitter post that the first teaser of the movie ‘Mehbooba’ will be released tomorrow morning at 10 AM. He was one of the top directors of Telugu film industry. Off late he has been tagged as a director struggling for success. It was Taarak’s Temper which was his last successful film.

In between, he had done a couple of films like Paisa Vasool with Balakrishna and another movie Loafer with Varun Tej. Both were box office disasters. Since then, he took a long break only to come back to direct his son Aakash Jagannadh in an intense action and romantic drama.

He titled the film as ‘Mehbooba’ and has roped in Neha Shetty as the female lead opposite his son. The actress is making her debut as a heroine in the movie. Recently, the movie completed its shoot and is now busy with post-production work. Puri Jagannadh is understood to have made the film with a massive budget. Most of the film’s shooting has happened across the beautiful locales of Himachal Pradesh.

While Puri himself is directing and producing the movie, Sandeep Chowta is the music composer. The film is scheduled for a summer release this year.

‘Rangasthalam’ the most awaited films for this summer is directed by Sukumar. Ram Charan and Samantha were shown in a never seen been before avatars by this director. Sukumar is always creative and comes up with a different visualization of characters. He hit the right point this time too, with Cherry. Now it is the time to show, his heroine Samantha.

People became excited when the movie teaser was earlier released but failed to impress certain sections of movie lovers as the teaser did not reveal anything about Samantha’s look or character. It is understood that Sukumar has deliberately kept Samantha away in the initial teaser as she is playing a village girl and he wanted to introduce her in solo with another teaser.

Samantha, last evening took to twitter and revealed about her upcoming teaser. She tweeted “I hope you will love me as Ramalakshmi as much as I loved playing her character. I am absolutely proud of Rangasthalam. The poster reveals that ‘Meet our Rama Lakshmi tomorrow at 11 AM”.

The story of Rangasthalam is based on a village background. Chittibabu’s character is enacted by Ram Charan playing deaf, while Ramalakshmi, portrayed by Sam is a dumb girl. The two glamour filled actors never played such challenging roles before. Even it is a first time for director Sukumar to venture a film with a village concept.

In a most dramatic way with no one ever saw it coming, Quincy Jones, 84 year Old Man has claimed in an interview to have dated Ivanka Trump.

He called the American President Donald Trump a “megalomaniac, narcissistic” and “crazy motherf***er” who happened to be his former acquaintance. The legendary music producer, also added that he dated Ivanka, you know the Trump.

The interviewer who spoke for all of us when he asked Jones: “wait, really?’

Jones went on to claim that he and Ivanka Trump dated about 12 years back after she asked Tommy Hilfiger to set up a dinner for me and her. Jones who is now 84 and Ivanka is 36. Exactly 12 years ago, they must have been 72 and 24, respectively.

Jones recalls having shared with Hilfiger at that point in time, “No problem. She’s a fine mother***er.” He also shared that she had the most beautiful legs I have ever seen in my life. But continued saying, wrong father, though.

Jones also criticized President Donald Trump, saying he is the reason why outward racism has resurfaced.

So far, there is no official statement neither from Ivanka or her team to people’s request for comment.

The teaser raised everyone’s expectations with high-octane actions scenes, rich visuals and an intense apt BGM. The new pair Akash and Neha looked good together.

The teaser starts showing the Indo-Pakistan border security force opening gates, followed by war aircrafts leading the Indian troops along the LOC. It looks like a passionate love story with a war backdrop. Neha Shetty plays the role of a Kashmiri Muslim girl, while the hero is an Indian Jawan. It is all about how love transcends time, about how the feeling of love makes you cross the borders, making you take every risk.

Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan announced that he would form a Joint Action Committee (JAC) to fight against the BJP at the center regarding the special status issue for AP. He first met senior politician Jayaprakash Narayan and had an hour-long discussion with him. Later, they both interacted with media.

Pawan told the media, that it will definitely take some time to get a good picture on the JAC. We are open to join hands with any politician and any citizen.

Pawan Kalyan used the opportunity to thank Jayaprakash Narayan for accepting his invitation.  He said it was an hour-long discussion with the senior leader where he requested him to plan a right path to fight against BJP for special status. He called for TDP to step out and protest for the states’ rights. It is high time, for every one of us to fight against the government. Jayaprakash also spoke and appreciated Pawan Kalyan for leaving his lavish life only to enter politics. He also said PK’s love for society has been stupendous. In what can be termed as a surprise, TRS MP Kavitha announced that her party is extending its support towards the AP MPs protests in the Parliament. Talking in the Lok Sabha today afternoon, TRS MP Kavitha came down hard at the Centre.

‘The Centre should fulfil its commitments made towards the Telugu states; Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, at the time of bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh. Hereby, TRS party announces its support to the protests by our fellow brothers; TDP MPs and YSRCP MPs from Andhra Pradesh.

When an ally like TDP, a part of the NDA’s alliance, fights against the Centre, sends wrong signals about the nation as a whole. The Centre should come down and solve the issues as soon as possible before this thing goes out of hands’, said MP Kavitha.

Talking about the fertilizers subsidy given to the farmers, MP Kavitha said, ‘why isn’t the government directly giving the fertilizers subsidy to farmers? The BJP is committing the same mistake Congress has committed in case of Fertilizer companies. The Centre should give more importance to the agricultural sector.’

It looks like the Clash of Titans: NTR, Prabhas, and Mahesh Babu is inevitable. Prabhas is quite busy with ‘Sahoo’ movie shooting. After a schedule in Hyderabad, the movie unit flew to Dubai for canning key action sequences in the backdrop of iconic Burj Khalifa.

Given the extensive CG and VFX visuals, and action sequences, Sahoo is likely to release for 2018 Sankranti.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s next film with Vamsi Paidipalli will be going on to sets very shortly. Though this is a drama themed film, being the 25th film in Mahesh’s (#MB25) career, the director will put all his efforts in making #MB25 a memorable one.

Finally, Jr NTR’s movie with Trivikram will soon begin. Radha Krishna is producing the on Haarika and Hassine Creations production house. Trivikram has the habit of taking a long time for completion of a film. Keeping Agnyaathavaasi impact in mind, the director will try to ensure the movie with Jr NTR comes out in the best form. Given the scenario, it will be impossible to be complete the movie’s shoot before December 2018.

With all three movies heading towards completion by the year ending, their target too will be Sankranti 2018.

In fact, 2018 Sankranti will be a bigger festival with these releases. While this turns out to be a worrying factor for producers, who usually bank on opening day collections.

Intelligent Movie Pre-release Business Impressive

Mega hero, ‘Supreme Star’ Sai Dharam Tej is waiting eagerly for his latest film ‘Intelligent’ release. The movie is directed by VV Vinayak, while C Kalyan produced the movie. Lavanya Tripathi is pairing up alongside Sai Dharam Tej in the movie.

Despite back-to-back failures at the box-office, Sai Dharam Tej is hopeful that ‘Intelligent’ will change his fortunes. Likewise, the movie’s pre-release business took everyone by surprise. Intelligent movie pre-release business stood at Rs 26.50 crores, excluding the overseas rights. Intelligent movie pre-release business breakup is as follows:

  • Andhra – Rs 13.5 Crores
  • Nizam – Rs 6.30 crores
  • Ceeded – Rs 5.40 Crores
  • Rest of India – Rs 1.30 Crores
  • Total – Rs 26.50 Crores

This is the highest pre-release business for a Sai Dharam Tej film until now. Though the producer seems to be partially happy, the film still needs to achieve ‘average’ talk, for the distributors to stay afloat. This is a crucial time in Sai Dharam Tej’s career, given the expectations and hopes on him. In fact, film circles believe that, Teju has the capability to become a successor to Megastar Chiranjeevi on the silver screen.

Intelligent is releasing on January 9th in both the Telugu States and rest of India.

Director Ram Gopal Varma is a very close relative to controversies. Irrespective of the issue, RGV puts his 100% effort to turn that issue into a controversy. He recently came up with the short film ‘God, Sex and Truth’ starring adult actress Mia Malkova. Prior to the short film’s release, RGV became a part of the never-ending list of controversies. At times, the maverick director himself has gone overboard. During a live TV show debate, he ended up attacking a woman on a personal level. The woman was deeply offended by the director’s comments.

In this context, the respective woman approached the Hyderabad police and filed a complaint against Ram Gopal Varma. On examining the evidence submitted by the victim, and related TV clippings, the police have come to an understanding that RGV did cross the lines, and even sent him notices. Ram Gopal Varma had to attend the police as a part of the case’s investigation today at 6:00 pm.

But shockingly, RGV’s lawyer responded to the notices stating that the director is busy with his shooting, and has not received notice. He asked the police to send the notices once again. The Hyderabad Police will be soon issuing the notices for the 2nd time. If Varma doesn’t turn up this time too, an arrest warrant is likely to be issued against RGV.

The YSRCP which was heckling TDP all this while, whether TDP has enough guts to question the Centre, should have been more than happy with this incident. But shockingly that is not the case. Instead, it is the other way around. YSRCP started attacking Sujana Chowdary, who is questioning the Centre, despite being a Cabinet Minister.

While Sujana Chowdary is putting his points strong, YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy tried to disrupt Sujana’s speech. In fact, the YSRCP MP expressed his displeasure over the Rajya Sabha Speaker for allowing Sujana Chowdary to speak.

Adding to this, Vijay Sai Reddy called for the resignation of Sujana Chowdary as a Cabinet Minister. ‘Being a part of the Cabinet, he cannot speak against the government,’ said Vijay Sai Reddy.

Meanwhile, another MP from YSRCP stated that ‘One person like Vijay Sai Reddy is sufficient for the defeat of YSRCP in the coming elections’, under anonymity.

This incident clearly exposed the inner motives of YSRCP towards the development of Andhra Pradesh. Right from the past few years, there have been instances where YSRCP leaders were blocking AP’s growth, by spreading lies to the Centre through letters and petitions.

At one side, all the ruling and opposition party leaders are slinging mud on the center for its poor Union Budget, the Lok Satta founder president Jaya Prakash Narayana has got an ok view on it. He says that the budget is not bad at the same time it is not best as well. His brief take on the budget as follows:

JP is known for his detail and authentic reports on any topic regarding government administration is a huge fan of providing basic commodities like Education, health, and subsidies to the poor and middle classes. Thus, he calls the released Union Budget as Satisfactory. He backed his statements by saying that NDA government has done a superb thing by allocating 5 lakhs for medical expenses to every family. On the same note, he advised the center to let every family to choose their family doctor and strive for better infrastructure in rural hospitals.

He asks people if there is any wrong in waving off income tax for one lakh earnings as he feels stock markets would gain which increases the value of rupee. This former IAS lauded the NDA government for its grants to develop Educational and Transport services like Buses and Railway Stations. JP reminded that half of the total union budget that is 12 lakhs crores from 24 lakh crores are allocated to states rather than developing the center and government institutions. He termed it as the best thing NDA can do compared to disastrous UPA government. JP has a big issue with the law abiding rule and says BJP would have given a sensible grant for it.

Reacting to the backlash of A.P MPs and MLAs on the Union Budget, JP declares them as opportunistic leaders. He educated some by claiming that state grants shall not be granted in budget sessions but the center has every right to take decisions on state grants. His option on the Union Budget-2018 is commendable.

The 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections fever has already started in the state. With Pawan Kalyan announcing that he would be completely devoted to politics from here on, ignoring his film career, the 2019 elections race got spicier. In the 2014 elections, YS Jagan led YSRCP won 67 seats, with 44.47% votes polled in favour of them. While Chandrababu Naidu led TDP won 102 seats with 46.3% votes polled in favour of them. Though the difference in voting percentage between the two parties is less than 2%, the difference in seats is 35. If it was not for Pawan Kalyan’s support towards the TDP-BJP alliance, there would have been greater chances of YS Jagan forming the government.

YS Jagan failed completely to strengthen YSRCP party in the past four years. Many leaders left YSRCP and joined TDP during this time. Vangaveeti Radha Krishna might soon ditch YSRCP and join TDP.

Truth Exposed!

What’s more shocking is, Jagan is finding hard to gather capable leaders to contest in the 175 assembly constituencies. Jagan should blame himself for exposing his never-ending greed to power. His involvement in money laundering cases, explains his favouritism towards CBI. Following are the 10 reasons that Telugu Bullet believes, can hamper Jagan’s chances in 2019 AP Assembly elections:

  2. History of land mafia, and corrupt business practices.

  4. Jagan’s quid pro quo motive in corruption
  5. The way YSRCP party is handled shows the lack of administration skills in YSRCP Camp
  6. Vote Division due to Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena presence
  7. The fact that Jagan is power hungry, is clearly evident throughout his speeches.
  8. Taking his promises during his Padayatra into consideration, already debt-ridden AP will further slip into obscurity.
  9. Jagan’s ‘corrupt’ image at national and international level
  10. YSRCP is born out of his greed to become CM, and not for a cause or definite purpose.

What is in store for CBN?

These facts against Jagan are definitely not in favour of Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP was lucky enough to win in 2014, thanks to Janasena’s support. With Pawan Kalyan himself fighting against CBN’s government policies, there is no way that he could extend his support. Moreover, CBN’s failure of obtaining ‘Special Status’, a promise on which the BJP and TDP won at the Centre and State, is something that is causing serious concerns in TDP camp.

There is no clear winner in the upcoming 2019 AP Assembly Elections. We might well see a coalition government formed under TDP-Janasena if Pawan Kalyan chooses to support TDP. Despite anything, the 2019 AP CM is most likely to be Chandrababu Naidu.
