He is one of the greatest finds in world cricket. He had fans all over the world apart from his country. He was a stylish left-handed batsman and a great stroke player. It was a treat for any cricket fan to watch him play. He is none other than Sanath Jayasuriya. He is well known for his explosive batting and he played a very key role during Sri Lanka’s 1996 World Cup victory which is in the memory of many till date.

He was not in the limelight or in public glare post his retirement. But recently few people who saw him were in dismay and disbelief. The star batsman was seen taking the help of crutches to walk. It is understood that Jayasuriya has been suffering from a knee injury for a while now. The 48-year-old- batsman will be traveling to Melbourne in Australia for a surgery. He will need minimum one months to recover post the operation. Till then, he will under observation.

As a batsman, his career records were: In test matches, he scored 6,973 runs and took 98 wickets. In ODI’s he made 13,430 runs and took 323 wickets. He played in T20’s as well, where he made 629 runs and took 19 wickets.We along with all his fans wish Jayasuriya a speedy recovery.

However, UP Haj Minister Mohsin Raza said, people should not make controversy out of nothing. He said the Haj Committee Office looks even more beautiful in Saffron. ‘As the opposition party has nothing to complain against the government, they take up these small things, he opined.

Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee Office assists the pilgrimage to Mecca. Center for Objective Research and Development’s Lucknow Director Athar Hussain alleged that BJP is famous for doing such things keeping a clear political agenda. But he, however, clarified that there is importance to any specific color in Islam.

However, Muslim Clerics raised objections about the painting of Haj Office in saffron as it is closely associated with BJP and Hinduism.

It is still not clear, why there should be any problem with painting a particular and that too to an office wall. It is not considered to be hurting sentiments of a particular religion. There are so many things in this country to look at to raise objections and make corrections.

New “10” Currency Notes Introduced, In Chocolate Brown Colour

RBI (Reserve Bank of India) is soon going to launch the new Rs.10 denomination notes into circulation. The new ten rupee currency note in the Mahatma Gandhi series will bear the signature of RBI Governor Urjit Patel and also have the picture of the Konark Sun Temple.

The new notes will give a picture of India’s cultural heritage. The base color of the note will be chocolate Brown and these notes will be in 63mm* 123mm dimension. Speculations say that apex bank has already printed up to 1 billion pieces of the new notes.

RBI said the new denomination has the motif of Sun Temple, Konark, on the reverse, showing the country’s rich cultural heritage. The design was approved by the government.

RBI is on a spree of launching the new notes under Mahatma Gandhi series. They introduced the new Rs.200 and Rs.50 under Gandhi series.The main purpose to reintroduce lower denomination notes in a new design is to get rid of forging.

He is living in the US, on a temporary visa, he is an Indian national name Prabhu Rama Moorthy. He was detained by Federal Authorities on charges of sexually harassing a fellow passenger who sat next to him on the plane.

The woman claimed her co-passenger who is a 34-year-old Indian, groped her while sitting next to him on a Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Detroit. At the time of the incident, his wife was also beside him. The victim is a 22 –year-old and she complained to the investigating officers that her clothes were unbuttoned and man’s hand was inside her pants when she opened her eyes.

She also said that Mr. Ramamoorthy stopped misbehaving after the victim woke up. The woman immediately reported the matter to the flight attendant and her seat was changed.Once the plane landed, Ramamoorthy was detained but he refused any kind of sexual harassment. He alleged that he had taken a pill and fell asleep and realized the girl was only sleeping on his knees after his wife informed him.

His wife also narrated the same story and said the flight attendants have not changed their seats despite placing a request. However, the flight attendants came out clarifying that nobody except the victim sought a change of seat.

Mass Maharaja, Ravi Teja is back with his next movie, “Touch Chesi Chudu”. The first teaser of the film has now released. The film is directed by Vikram Sirikonda. The first impression we get from watching the teaser is Ravi Teja looks a bit healthy when compared to his last movie “Raja the Great”. It is a happy sight to fans and audience once again to see Ravi’s expressive eyes.

Mass Maharaja looks fit and in a mass avatar in the movie. He was seen fighting in a 31 seconds teaser. The director, unlike other movie directors, looked to be keeping everything to minimum and revealed nothing much through teaser. The teaser only showed mass maharaja, in a mass yet trendy look. High Court’s approved ‘Price hikes’ for theatres

Honorable High Court of Hyderabad gave temporary orders allowing cinema theatres to increase their prices in both Telugu States. With this directive from the court, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh theatre owners are allowed to increase the hike in prices for all classes.

In the year 2013, Andhra Pradesh has issued a G.O approving theatres to increase their prices but the High Court made it null and void and asked the government to form a committee to set regulations on the price increase. Court gave a deadline of March’2017 to form such committee and take a final decision on the same. Still, neither the United AP nor the twin states post bifurcation took any action on the court directive.

Now, the theatre owners have approached High Court for approving them to increase prices until the government takes a final call on this issue. Contrary to its earlier orders, the High Court has now considered the petition of theatre owners.

While hearing the petition, Justice S V Bhatt, pointed the inaction of governments of both Telugu States in the issue as per the court directive and gave orders in favor of theaters owners. However, they have to inform the authorities about the hiked prices and pay taxes as per hikes. High Court also asked ordered the governments to file the counters as soon as possible and adjourned the case to February. Surely with prices hitting rooftop, it will impact the filmgoers.

After the release of Baahubali, the Telugu film industry can broadly be classified as, before and after Baahubali. Undoubtedly, there is no other film in the near future that could possibly surpass the collections of Baahubali. It won’t be surprising if it takes two to three decades for a Telugu movie to break Baahubali – The Conclusion records.

Given this kind of situation, few people made popular the term ‘Non-Baahubali Records’. Leaving aside Baahubali, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s re-entry film ‘Khaidi No.150’ currently tops the Tollywood box-office records. Trade experts believe that Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnathavasi’ is likely to break ‘Khaidi No. 150’ records.

The film is a milestone in Pawan Kalyan’s career; one for being his 25th film, and the other for probably being his last film. And given his previous venture with Trivikram Srinivas, there are sky-high expectations on Agnathavasi movie. The movie has already generated a Rs.200 crore pre-release business. Given its wide release in over 600+ locations in the US alone, and wide release in the Telugu states, the film is likely to surpass all box-office records.

Interestingly, Khaidi No.150 which broke all the existing records released for last Sankranti and, Agnathavasi, which is expected to break Khaidi No. 150 records is also releasing for Sankranti.
