In the latest development, the Chief Editors of Mahaa News, TV5, ABN, and TV9 came together to take a decision on the Tollywood film industry. The development comes in the light of Tollywood Film Chamber announcing the ban on the aforementioned four news channels. Condemning Tollywood Film Industry’s decision, the media sections have stood united.

Speaking at the Hyderabad Press Club, a senior media personnel said, ‘we severely condemn the criticism towards the media personnel by the film industry bigwigs. They are creating a new controversy to sidetrack the Casting Couch issue.

It is nothing but hypocrisy on their part to pass allegations on the media without solving the problems of female artists in the industry. I would like to ask a simple question. Are they from the film industry? Or, are they caste leaders? They have to clarify this first’.

‘By attacking the media, and making baseless allegations, they once again exposed their shallow minds. If they intend to control the media, just because they want to escape from the Casting Couch allegations, and other allegations on them, they should be prepared to face dire consequences’, said a senior journalist from TV9 in the press club meeting.The electronic media journalists have comes to a consensus and made an agreement in this regard.

Sukumar’s directorial ‘Rangasthalam’, starring Ram Charan and Samantha in lead roles is minting gold at the box office. The movie has been declared as a blockbuster by the end of its first weakened itself. The movie performed exceptionally both in the domestic and overseas market. Mythri Movie Makers who produced the film officially announced that ‘Rangasthalam’ has joined the Rs 200 crore club.

Apart from Baahubali – The Beginning and Baahubali – The Conclusion, Rangasthalam is the highest grosser in Tollywood history. The movie had a grand worldwide release on March 30, 2018, and achieved the feat in just 30 days.

Despite the release of other films, Rangasthalam continued its golden run at the box office. Ram Charan became the second hero after Prabhas to join the $3 million-club in the US market.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ is also having a great run at the box office. The movie has so far collected Rs 180 crores. Trade analysts opined that Bharat Ane Nene might just fall short of Rangasthalam movie collections both in the domestic and overseas market.

In the latest development, close sources to the Telugu film industry has confirmed that a ban will be imposed on TV9, Mahaa TV, TV5, and ABN Telugu news channels. Tollywood bigwigs like Suresh Babu, Gemini Ganesh, and Tammareddy Bharadwaj sat together to discuss the ongoing war between the Telugu news channels and the film industry body.

It all started after the TV channels started making debates, and programs for hours together on how Sri Reddy abused Pawan Kalyan, and how casting couch is eating away the talent.

After things went out of control on the TV, it is known that Pawan Kalyan has started an anti-Media war over the 4 channels mentioned above on his twitter. Even the Media houses heads have issued legal notices to Pawan in this context. Pawan Kalyan too responded in a similar way by sending legal notices.
