‘Sahoo’ movie production has been progressing at a snail’s pace. With frequent delays, the production costs are soaring high. There was a time, when rumors made rounds that, the movie might well be called off. While few speculated the spat between director Sujeeth and hero Prabhas is the reason for the delay. Putting an end to all such speculations, Sahoo director Sujeeth held a special press meet, and clearly all the doubts.

The production unit initially planned to shoot near the Burj Khalifa, Dubai. After the Dubai government demanding exorbitant fees to permit movie shooting, the team wanted to shoot the sequences in a specially erected sets in Hyderabad itself. According to the latest developments, the movie unit has moved to Abu Dhabi to participate in a 45 days long schedule.

40% of the movie’s budget has been specifically allocated for this movie, said a close source to the production unit. ‘Key action sequences will be shot in this schedule. They will be the highlight of the film. A lot of hard work is being put in’, said an insider.There are sky-high expectations for the movie. Shraddha Kapoor is playing the female lead opposite Prabhas in ‘Sahoo’.

The recent outing of mega power star Ram Charan Tej, Rangsthalam has been creating sensations across the two Telugu States. The first day collections only hint the final verdict of this flick.

Touted to be a rural village drama, this flick has Sukumar’s narration and Charan’s star power but nothing in the commercial. But the producers Mythri Movie Makers who made this movie for an astonishing budget of 70 crores sold this movie for 80 crores worldwide. But the pre-release buzz worked like magic and guess what, Charan got his career’s best opening. From the two Telugu states, the movie raked in 19 crores of shares thereby pushing Bruce Lee (13 crores) to the second position. In the overseas, the movie collected one million dollars by the end of its first day including special premiers. Overall, Rangasthalam generated a revenue of 46 crores of gross which corresponds to the distributor share of 30.5 crores. Still, the movie needs to collect more than 50 crores to call it a safe venture. However, the first weekend collections will clear the movie’s stamina and tells us whether it will enter the safe zone or ends up being an average gross.

Everything in this flick worked out in the favor of the crew. Starting from Ratnavel’s stunning Photography blended with rockstar DSP’s outstanding work, the director Sukumar presented this story like a folklore. Avoiding mixed talk here and there, the movie is declared as a hit on the first day.
