In recent times, Kalyan Ram limited himself to produce films on his own banner. With MLA he has once again joined with other producers. Kalyan Ram is the one who introduced directors like Surender Reddy and Anil Ravipudi. Following the same sentiment, the Nandamuri hero gave a chance to debutant Upendra Madhav with MLA. Let us see whether the director has lived up to his promise or not!

Story:

Kalyan Ram gets his sister (Lasya) married to her boyfriend without the parent’s permission. Furious over this, Kalyan Ram’s father (Nagineedu) throws the children (Kalyan Ram and his Sister) outside. Along with his sister, and brother-in-law, Kalyan Ram stays in Bangalore. He falls in love with Kajal Agarwal. Later, he secures a job in the same company, where his brother-in-law works. The manager (Posani) of the company is a womanizer.

Even Kajal joins the same company and introduces herself as company owner’s daughter. Meanwhile, Kalyan Ram saves the company from a problem, and in that process comes to know that Kajal is not the owner’s daughter. Later, Kajal challenges him that, he needs to win the MLA seat from Veerabhadram constituency, over Gadappa, who is the sitting MLA for many turns. Did Kalyan Ram win? Did he win Kajal’s love? Why did Kajal put that condition? Watch the film to find the answers.

Analysis:

Just like many young and upcoming directors, Upendra Madhavi is someone who is trying to make a name for himself with unique ideas and scripts. If convincing a hero like Kalyan Ram with a routine story is itself an achievement, showcasing it on the silver screen is another achievement.

Anil Ravipudi made a routine story like ‘Patas’ into an attractive one. Even this time around, Kalyan Ram and Upendra Madhav might have thought on similar lines. But again, thinking and execution are far different. Though the movie has ample space to make it a commercial hit, routine scenes have let down the movie.

Instead of holding to the soul of the movie, the complete script revolves around subplots. This is where the director has gone horribly bad. Given the routine writing, the comedy scenes too failed to bring laughter.

Putting aside everything, Kalyan Ram is a sure watch out in the film. His ease of acting can be seen. There is a vast improvement in his dialogue diction and dance moves. Even Kajal Agarwal (female lead), Brahmanandam, Prudhvi, and Ravi Kishan’s (Villain) presence couldn’t save the movie, given its routine content.

The technical aspects are pretty good in the movie. Right from the production values, cinematography, and art, everything adds more flair to the move. Mani Sharma’s is truly back with the film, and his trademark melodies will accompany you to your home.

After Biopics took the Bollywood by a storm, it is the turn of Tollywood. Enter Telugu film industry is buzzing with back-to-back biopics. Be it Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, or Balakrishna’s ‘NTR’, or Keerthi Suresh’s ‘Mahanati’, the biopic is seen everywhere. Joining this list is yet another biopic.

The latest addition is YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s ‘Yatra’. Rumours surfaced during the announcement of NTR Biopic that, YSR’s biopic will soon be announced. Since then there hasn’t been any confirmation until very recently.

The upcoming movie is tentatively titled as ‘Yatra’. Malayalam superstar Mammootty is playing the role, YS Rajasekhar Reddy. The production team has been scouting for someone who could reprise YS Vijayamma, wife of YSR. Though Radhika Sarathkumar has been considered initially, it is learnt that famous character artist Saranya Ponvannan is playing.

‘Saranya Ponvannan and YS Vijayamma share some similarities in how they look. The team felt that Saranya would be more suitable than anyone else’, said a close source for the production unit.Mahi V Raghav (‘Anando Brahma’ fame) is directing the movie.

Amidst the political crisis happening in the state of Andhra, and being away from films after Agnathavasi, Janasena Party Chief and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan graced the occasion for his ardent fan and actor Nithiin. This occasion is the pre-release event for which he agreed to attend as the Chief Guest. Pawan Kalyan is away from films and is only focusing on AP politics at present. But he was co-producing Nithiin’s next film Chal Mohan Ranga, which is releasing very soon.

On March 25th, the pre-release event will take place and hero Nithiin himself revealed the big news to all fans. Chal Mohan Ranga is a romantic entertainer directed by Krishna Chaitanya and most of his shots are filmed in the USA.

Interestingly, director Trivikram has penned the story for the film and Megha Akash is the female lead. The film is jointly produced by Sreshth Movies and Pawan Kalyan Creative Works. The film is slated to release on April 5th. The big announcement made by Nithiin about Pawan Kalyan gracing the function delighted every Pawan Kalyan fan. The film’s music composed by SS Thaman is already making waves and have become widely popular.

The official announcement is out for the most anticipated film in Telugu Film Industry. The whole of Tollywood and Telugu audience have gone gaga over the pic of Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The ‘celebrated’ pic was shared by Rajamouli on his official Twitter account.

Until now, neither the heroes nor the director has spoken about the picture in their combination. People even speculated that there is no such movie currently on cards. Surprising all, YouTube DVV Entertainments has released an announcement.

It is titled ‘RRR Announcement – NTR, Ram Charan |SS Rajamouli’. The acronym of RRR is Rajamouli – Ram Charan – Rama Rao. As soon as the announcement came, each and every movie fan started celebrating.

What’s more surprising is, Upasana Kamineni, wife of Ram Charan took to Twitter to tease her husband. In her tweet, she said, ‘What’s this???? #ramcharan’, adding the video link of the ‘RRR Announcement’.  

After Ram Charan and Jr NTR were spotted at the airport, reports emerged that, both the star heroes are going to the US as a part of the test shoot, and other pre-production works of the film. Finally, the dream of millions of Telugu fans has come true.

Talking about how he scripted this project, Sukumar went into the deeper layers of his thoughts. He revealed the fact that he traveled all over the world to find an original story to work with Charan and found nothing. Its then he came to realize that his own roots appeared very touching and inspiring. Thus, he wanted to make a story out of his own past, life experiences in his village and characters around him. Adding creativity and drama, he developed a story out of it.

Sukumar claims that he has put sincerity and originality in each and every character of it and he ensures one can feel connected to all the characters in it. This top director also feels that this flick’s making journey helped him to refresh his soul once again and felt like re-discovering himself. Almost same feelings were expressed by Charan in the pre-release function of this movie. Be it a hit or flop, this project has personally transformed some lead actors and technicians to the core. The producers Mythri Movie Makers are releasing this flick on 29th of this month. Samantha is the female lead and rockstar DSP has scored the music.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming movie, ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ second schedule shooting commenced yesterday. Currently, the shoot is taking place in a specially erected set at Nanakramguda, Hyderabad. The female lead in the movie, Nayantara also joined the movie team.

Though the shooting is in full swing, and the production team are happy about the output, suspense over ‘music director’ is still continuing.
