Young and dynamic director Prashant Varma made it big with his debut movie ‘Awe!’ The unique film is backed by none other than hero Nani. Sharing his experience about narrating the script to various producers, Prashant Varma the humiliations he had to go through, before turning into a successful director.

Talking to a web channel, Prashant Varma said, ‘there were times were the producers used to doze off while I was narrating the script. Few others used to reject the script even before going halfway through the script’.

Talking about a shocking incident, Prashant Varma said that he had to walk for miles together, in heavy rain at around 2:00 am in the morning. ‘One producer took me to his house, asking me to narrate the script. His house is quite a bit far away from the main road. After listening to the script, the producer said that we will do the movie, and asked me to leave for now. The time was 2:00 am in the morning, and it was raining heavily.

I walked for miles in the heavy rain before I reached my room. While, other producers asked me to narrate the script to their watchman and office boy, stating that, as a director, you need to know the mass audience pulse. Even they have to like it’, said Prashant Varma, sharing how he has struggled to reach this position.

Following the norm of any other big-budget films, even Rangasthalam mired in a controversy lately. The Yadav Community leaders protested against the lyricist writer and the director, claiming that, a particular lyric in the song ‘Rangamma’ looked down at Yadav community.

The protesters found the lyric ‘Gollabhama vacchi naa goru gilluthunte’ to be offensive. In Yadav community (Golla), women are also termed as Gollabhamas. Nevertheless, clarifying on this issue, the movie’s director Sukumar came out with an explanation.

He released an official statement saying that they referred to an insect called ‘Gollabhama’ and it has got nothing to with the women of Yadav community. At the time of writing this article, none of the protesters reacted to Sukumar’s comments.

Furthermore, Sukumar also briefed that, most of the people might be knowing about an insect called Gollabhama. It is up to an individual on how to perceive a lyric. From our end, it is very clear, and I have given the perspective with which the lyric writer penned the lyrics. I hope there shouldn’t be any more issues.

But the mixed response of his recent flick Okka Kshanam made Allu Arjun not to risk by working with him. Cut short to this story, the same script is rumored to be in the hands of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja. Ravi who always loves to attempt different Cinema might materialize this project as one of his future flicks. For now, Allu Arjun is working hard to score a hit with Naa Peru Surya to release it in April.

Upasana Singh shot to fame, thanks to Comedy Nights by Kapil Sharma. The actress managed to escape a cab driver’s molestation attempt on her. Talking to the media, Upasana Singh said, ‘I am currently shooting in Chandigarh. To reach the shooting spot it took me 45 minutes in the morning. After completing the shooting, I was heading back to my place.

I was over 2 hours and I was still on the road. Upon asking, the cab driver stated that he has lost his way. Though I asked him to stop the cab immediately, he refused and drove into a dark stretch of road, filled with trees on either side. I realized that I was in danger, and immediately rang up the police.They immediately reached the spot and escorted me to the hotel. Thank god, nothing bad happened to me’.

Meanwhile, the police nabbed the cab driver, who later agreed his fault. But the actress did not file a case, sympathizing with the cab driver and his family. If not for her presence of mind, and braveness, ‘TV Actress Upasana Singh molested by cab driver’, would have made headlines on TV news channels.
