Vijay Devarakonda is one of the most acclaimed actors, who shot to fame with just two films. Though he played character role in few films, his made his debut as a hero with ‘Pelli Choopulu’ film. The movie went on to become a big hit, bringing Vijay Devarakonda into the limelight. His next film ‘Arjun Reddy’ was a humongous success.Since then the actor has been trending on all social networking sites. Adding to this, his still for Wow Magazine cover page raised the heat of everyone.

The actor is currently starring in a film titled ‘Taxi Wala’. Rahul Sankrityan is directing the film. The movie is set to release on May 18th. Rahul shot to fame with his short film ‘Chitra I love you’. He also received a cash prize of Rs 3, 00,000 for the best short film from MAA TV.

Addressing the press representatives, the producer said, ‘Vijay’s acting and dialogues will be the surprise element in the film. The film’s title is decided by the story itself.  Presently, the post-production works are in full swing. We will soon release the movie’s first look and posters.’James Bijay is composing the music for the while. While Sujith Sarang is handling the cinematography, Sai Kumar Reddy wrote the script and dialogues for the movie.

Bigg Boss 11 (Hindi show, hosted by Salman Khan) show contestant Zubair Khan has reportedly threatened a woman activist, demanding her Rs 1 crore. In a series of calls, he claimed to be a close aide to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and threatened to kill her if she fails to give the money.

The woman immediately approached the Mumbai Crime branch and informed them about the threat calls. Upon investigation, the police found out that the calls are not coming from Pakistan, and it is indeed Zubair Khan who is behind all this.

But shockingly, Zubair’s claims of his closeness to Dawood Ibrahim is in fact true. He is the son-in-law of Dawood’s sister Haseena Parker. During one of the episodes, Zubair claimed that he has been trapped by Haseena Parker and was married to her daughter.

Zubair has two children, for him, he is currently fighting on the court. It is understood that Zubair came to Bigg Boss for an ‘image changeover’. He has directed the film ‘Lakeer Ka Fakeer’. Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Azaj Khan played the lead role.

The film is likely to generate a pre-release business of Rs 40 crores. Given Krish’s involvement, the brand value of the project has gone to another level. The director Sankalp Reddy made a strong debut with his war film ‘The Ghazi Attack’.

It looks like the controversial filmmaker, Ram Gopal Varma is under tremendous pressure, possibly for the first time in his life. His recent (short) film ‘God, Sex and Truth’ starring pornstar Mia Malkova, brought up in front of the law. Making this kind of films in India is illegal. ‘On knowing this, I went to Europe and completed the movie. I gave the concept for the film. Moreover, the production house doesn’t belong to India,’ said RGV recently.

During a live TV Show, Ram Gopal Varma made uncouth comments on a woman activist, Mani. The woman activist took the issue to CCS, which upon examining the evidence registered a case on Ram Gopal Varma. During their investigation, the police are unearthing many unknown facts about the making of ‘God, Sex, and Truth’.

A daily tabloid claimed that ‘the whole film was shot in India. Mia Malkova came to India for a week to participate in the film’s shoot. The post-production work related the film is also carried in India. And the movie too is uploaded from India’.

The police are also trying to extract each and every information regarding the movie. If the allegations by the tabloid are proven, Ram Gopal Varma is likely to face a jail term of 3 – 5 years with heavy penalties. Akkineni fans are worried, as the director’s film with Nagarjuna is currently on sets.

Playback singer and music director Papon (Angaraag ‘Papon’ Mahanta) was caught kissing a reality show contestant on Facebook live telecast. The singer who took part in Holi Celebrations with the contestants of a music reality show was charged for this inappropriate behaviour. What’s more shocking is that Papon is the judge of the reality show. 

The special ‘Holi’ episode was shot for the telecast on the day of Holi. Papon sang the song ‘Rang Barse’, after which he went close to the minor girl, applied colour to her face, and kissed her lips.

The whole episode was caught on Facebook Live stream. The video instantly became viral, and Papon saw the wrath of netizens. Supreme Court lawyer Runa Bhuyan filed a case against the singer, and said the singer has ‘committed sexual assault’.

Adding to the surprise, the minor girl’s father, however, requested the media, not to pursue this matter any further. He called Papon as a father figure and credited him with the success of his daughter. ‘What you saw in the video was not intentionally. It was just a moment of affection’, the father of the contestant said.

Papon is one of the judges on the music reality show ‘Voice India Kids’. The 3-member judges-panel includes Papon, Himmesh Reshammiya, and Shaan.

Hero Srikanth who started his film career playing villain roles and character roles soon turned into a star with the film ‘Taj Mahal’. With films like Thaali, Pelli Sandadi, President Gari Pellam, and Khadgam, he became a household name. He is mainly known for his family drama movie. This time he comes up with the horror-comedy film ‘Ra Ra’.

Story:

Raj Kiran is an upcoming director. His last two films have bombed at the box office. His father, who is a great director dies, and his mother falls sick. The doctor asks Raj Kiran to come up with a successful film, as his success would help revive his mother. In this context, he chooses an old bungalow to pendown a horror film script. Surprisingly, he falls in love with a ghost, which has been residing in the bungalow. Did he manage to escape from the ghost? What kind of circumstances he had to face in the due course? To find answers to these questions, watch the movie on the big screen.

Analysis:

One can appreciate Srikanth for coming up with a horror-comedy film. This is the first the senior actor has chosen such kind of film. It wouldn’t take long to realize that his choice has turned out to be pretty bad. The film starts with the introduction of Srikanth and his team. Though it seems decent, it soon turns out to be a bag of cheap slapstick comedy. The overdose of one-liners is surely going to give a headache to the audience. One shouldn’t expect any interval bang with this movie.

Though the concept of having a love affair with the ghost seems interesting to a point, the director (whoever it is) failed to establish it properly. The core story only begins in the second half. Few scenes are highly unconvincing and remind us of stage dramas at our young age. The only breather is the comedy track between Srikanth and Shakalaka Shankar.

The cinematography is the best as far as the technical team is concerned. The director failed to showcase what is written on the paper on the silver screen. The pale and overdose comedy in the first half is the biggest drawback in the film.

Hero Vikram had a pretty good market even in the Telugu states in the past. He further expanded his market with the film ‘Aparichithudu’. He lost his market with the mega-budget film ‘Manoharudu – I’. The versatile actor is hoping that his flick ‘Sketch’ which fared decently in Kollywood, might bring back his lost market in the Telugu states. Let’s take a look whether he is successful or not!

Story:

A gang of four works in a garage. Jeeva (Vikram) leads the group. Jeeva is nicknamed ‘sketch’ for his novel ideas. These four work under a Vehicle Finance dealer as recovery agents. The moment he sees the heroine, he falls in love with her. Jeeva ensures that even falls for him. At this juncture, the villain plans to take his vengeance over the group over an issue with a Vintage Car. Similarly, the gang falls into the eyes of a police officer who jumps into the scene to hunt the villain.

Slowly, each one of his friends from the gang starts disappearing. Who is behind this? What happened to Jeeva’s friends? What is the end?

Analysis:

All and out, this is purely a mass masala entertainer. The only fresh breather is the ‘message’ the film tries to convey. The twists before the interval and the climax, and Vikram’s performance are the saviours for the movie. The love track and the characterization of the heroine offer absolutely nothing new. It is shocking to see that the director limited Tamannah to the songs.

Surprisingly, the songs actually disturb the mood of the film, thanks to the screenplay. The action episodes, Vikram’s character, and twists help the movie to look better to inferior. Thaman continues his good form both with the BGM and the songs. Apart from the aforementioned, there is hardly anything one can see on the silver screen.
