Nandamuri Balakrishna aka Balayya has announced to the whole world that he will be acting as his father and legendary versatile actor turned politician in NTR’S biopic. Balayya looks relaxed and not rushing into anything. He is keenly watching all the happenings of the project and also giving his inputs whenever it is required. Director Teja has been taken to direct the film. The unit is busy with all pre-production works. This year march the regular shoot of the film will be commencing.

However, wide speculations are going around that the biopic will not discuss NTR’s last days of life and also Chandrababu Naidu’s making it to the chief minister’s chair as they are controversial features of NTR’s life.Contrary to the speculations, few insiders informed that the entire life story of NTR will be presented on the screen. They will show his childhood days, all important aspects till his last days are going to be shown elaborately in the movie.

NTR launching his political party and giving it a name TDP will also be in the interval block of the biopic.Post the interval, the second half of the film the main emphasis will be on his political journey. Sources share that the last days of his life will be explained in points in the biopic. Bala Krishna’s home banned Brahma Teja films are only producing the prestigious project.

After Balakrishna announced that his 102nd film would be directed by KS Ravikumar, there were hardly any people interested in the movie. Surprisingly rumours surfaced that the storyline of Jai Simha is similar to Rajinikanth’s Muthu, which is also directed by KS Ravikumar in the past.

Once the movie’s trailer was released, expectations started to grow. Given the high voltage actions scenes, dialogues and most importantly Balakrishna’s confidence, the film is slowly but steadily gaining the hype and attention. Currently, the film’s promotion is underway. The film’s trailer once again established the fact that the movie is going to be a special treat for hard-core Balakrishna fans.

Balakrishna will be playing a double role in the upcoming film. Last time, Balakrishna played a double role in the blockbuster film ‘Simha’, which went on to become one of his best movies in his career. And even the glamour quotient of the film is high with three heroines; Nayantara, Hari Priya and Natasha.

Famous character artists will also be seen playing key roles in the film. The film’s director, KS Ravikumar also stated that ‘I was looking for an apt hero for my story. I am fortunate to find Balakrishna for my film’. Balakrishna who had a blockbuster hit with ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ for last Sankranti, is hoping that his upcoming film ‘Jai Simha’ will also be a blockbuster hit at the box-office.

It is known that a film in Ram Charan Tej – Boyapati combination has recently finished its Pooja formalities, and the regular shooting is about to begin in a few days. It is also heard that the film’s production unit has completed a test shoot in the Rajmahal, in Rajasthan. Shockingly, it is also heard that the film is aremake of Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, though not officially confirmed.

But the latest buzz in the industry is that Ram Charan has reportedly called-off the film. Charan initially okayed the film after listening to the storyline. But after reading the script, the mega hero also felt that the film is similar to ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.ram charan and boyapati movie

After Boyapati was shocked with Charan’s decision, the director reportedly asked for some time, to come up with a new story. Ram Charan also made clear that he would be doing the film as initially agreed only if he likes the new story, and if not, he might well go with another director.

With continuous spree of successful movies in his pocket, Producer Dil Raju has lined up few exciting films this year. There is an upcoming multi-starrer film which will be launched pretty soon is likely to have Sharwanad’s and Nithiin in the main roles. This is one of the few projects coming under Dil Raju’s banner this year. Harish Shankar, the director of Allu Arjun’s DJ, is going to call shots for this multi-starrer which is considered to be a crazy concept.

Sai Pallavi was the first choice in the untitled film and will be first female lead. Now, if reports are said to be true leggy lass Rakul Preet Singh is roped into the movie as the other heroine in the movie. Interestingly, the same pair of the actress has recently signed up Suriya’s next film which went on to shooting sets a couple of days ago.

Dil Raju is waiting for all four-star cast to finish their present movies and commitments only to resume his multi-starrer film later this year. Mass Maharaja, Ravi Teja is back with his next movie, “Touch Chesi Chudu”. The first teaser of the film has now released. The film is directed by Vikram Sirikonda. The first impression we get from watching the teaser is Ravi Teja looks a bit healthy when compared to his last movie “Raja the Great”. It is a happy sight to fans and audience once again to see Ravi’s expressive eyes.

Mass Maharaja looks fit and in a mass avatar in the movie. He was seen fighting in a 31 seconds teaser. The director, unlike other movie directors, looked to be keeping everything to minimum and revealed nothing much through teaser. The teaser only showed mass maharaja, in a mass yet trendy look. Fully covered himself in black shirt-pants and goggles he reminded his Vikramarkudu days. Ravi once again presents his angry and stylish look throughout the 31 seconds teaser.

The background score is composed by Pritam can be taken as the best bit of the teaser. The movie is produced by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner. Touch Chesi Chudu is all set and ready for February 2018 release. The two female leads who are acting opposite Ravi are Rashi Khanna and Seerat Kapoor. While we can see Ravi playing once again as a daring cop in Touch Chesi Chudu, we just hope the movie has a different story to add strength to the spontaneity of the hero.

High Court’s approved ‘Price hikes’ for theatres

Honorable High Court of Hyderabad gave temporary orders allowing cinema theatres to increase their prices in both Telugu States. With this directive from the court, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh theatre owners are allowed to increase the hike in prices for all classes.

In the year 2013, Andhra Pradesh has issued a G.O approving theatres to increase their prices but the High Court made it null and void and asked the government to form a committee to set regulations on the price increase. Court gave a deadline of March’2017 to form such committee and take a final decision on the same. Still, neither the United AP nor the twin states post bifurcation took any action on the court directive.

Now, the theatre owners have approached High Court for approving them to increase prices until the government takes a final call on this issue. Contrary to its earlier orders, the High Court has now considered the petition of theatre owners.

While hearing the petition, Justice S V Bhatt, pointed the inaction of governments of both Telugu States in the issue as per the court directive and gave orders in favor of theaters owners. However, they have to inform the authorities about the hiked prices and pay taxes as per hikes. High Court also asked ordered the governments to file the counters as soon as possible and adjourned the case to February. Surely with prices hitting rooftop, it will impact the filmgoers.

Everyone knows the rift between Chiranjeevi and hero Rajasekhar, and similarly between Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu. After the release of Baahubali, the Telugu film industry can broadly be classified as, before and after Baahubali. Undoubtedly, there is no other film in the near future that could possibly surpass the collections of Baahubali. It won’t be surprising if it takes two to three decades for a Telugu movie to break Baahubali – The Conclusion records.

Given this kind of situation, few people made popular the term ‘Non-Baahubali Records’. Leaving aside Baahubali, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s re-entry film ‘Khaidi No.150’ currently tops the Tollywood box-office records. Trade experts believe that Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnathavasi’ is likely to break ‘Khaidi No. 150’ records.

The film is a milestone in Pawan Kalyan’s career; one for being his 25th film, and the other for probably being his last film. And given his previous venture with Trivikram Srinivas, there are sky-high expectations on Agnathavasi movie. The movie has already generated a Rs.200 crore pre-release business. Given its wide release in over 600+ locations in the US alone, and wide release in the Telugu states, the film is likely to surpass all box-office records.

Interestingly, Khaidi No.150 which broke all the existing records released for last Sankranti and, Agnathavasi, which is expected to break Khaidi No. 150 records is also releasing for Sankranti.

Director SS Rajamouli has taken the Telugu cinema to the next level with his film series ‘Baahubali’. Reportedly, the film has also impressed many Hollywood screenwriters, directors and production houses. Baahubali took the box-office collections by storm, and surpassed almost all the Indian movies, released till date, in collections.

Post the release of ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’, Rajamouli did not announce about his next project. He only stated that he wouldn’t be using CG and VFX in his upcoming film. Surprisingly, few sections in the film circles claimed that Rajamouli is busy script-preparations for the rumored multi-starrer movie starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.

But the latest buzz is that Rajamouli is likely to make an announcement regarding his upcoming project. It is learned that the director will be holding an official press meet, to announce details of his upcoming movie, its cast, shooting date and even the film’s release date.

Unofficial sources have already confirmed that the regular shooting of this rumored multi-starrer film will commence from September, and the film will be releasing for 2019 Dusshera festival. Surprisingly, Ram Charan and NTR are also learned to finish their current shooting schedules by August, official sources said.
