Congress president Rahul Gandhi has Singapore audience in splits

Posted [relativedate] at [relativetime time_format=”H:i”]

Indian National Congress (INC) party president Rahul Gandhi got himself into trouble once again. Rahul Gandhi took part in an interaction in Singapore yesterday. The official twitter handle of INC, posted a video, showing Rahul Gandhi answering in a humour manner for a question put up by two individuals.

The first question is asked by Prasenjit K. Basu, an Indian-origin Singaporean, an economist and author. He asked the question, ‘why is it that during the years that your family ruled India, India’s per capita income was growing less than world average? And it has grown substantially faster than global average after Modi became the PM’.

Suddenly, another gentleman stands from the audience and lauds Jawaharlal Nehru, and Congress rule. Rahul Gandhi, then said, these extreme views have reflected how polarized India has become… and continues to answer in a diplomatic tone.

In this context, Prasenjit K Basu raised an objected and tweeted to INC official twitter handle. His tweet read, ‘This is a classic fake-news video. You are using my image to falsely advertise your politician…’

The author warned that Rahul Gandhi should be prepared for prosecution in Singapore’s court if the video is not withdrawn.

Two BJP Ministers Resign From Andhra Cabinet After TDP

Posted [relativedate] at [relativetime time_format=”H:i”]

The two TDP Ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary who found their places in Central Cabinet have resigned their Ministries without any second thought. Following the orders of their Chief CBN, they moved their first pawn against the center.

Despite backing off from the alliance, the TDP Supreme Chandrababu Naidu arranged a press meet yesterday midnight in order to announce the resignations of these two Central Ministers. As a part of TDP’s protest against the Centre for not granting Special Category Status, CBN took this drastic decision depleting the relations between TDP and BJP. Ashok Gajapathi Raju served as the Aviation Minister while Sujana Chowdary handled the responsibilities of Science and Technology in the country. Actually, these two are supposed to resign in the early morning of today but PM Narendra Modi gave his appointment today evening. So these two Ministers met PM and handed over their call off letters.

Also here in the state, the BJP leaders who got a position in CBN’s cabinet too resigned their state Ministries. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas and Endowment Minister Manikyala Rao resigned from State Cabinet and left TDP’s camp. Still, Naidu is very interested to continue his alliance with BJP by staying in NDA despite his rivalry with the Centre for AP’s future.

Pawan keen on joining hands with TDP elections of 2019

Posted [relativedate] at [relativetime time_format=”H:i”]

The Janasena party Chief Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has started his plans for the upcoming general elections of 2019. Sources close to this most powerful leader have spilled beans on his future alliances.

Pawan Kalyan floated his party in 2014 but denied participating in the elections in the same year. He promised his fans that he will form a full-fledged party prior to the next general elections to contest all the seats. Looking at his present status, he did form party and called in for memberships. Upon constructing his party offices in some important places in the two Telugu states, he is busy scrutinizing candidates to stand in some constituencies. But he put himself far from the Party affairs for some sudden things like forming Joint Fact-Finding Committee and other things. Also, he might not find all the candidates to contest from all the places. So some key members of his party revealed that he will once again form an alliance with the present ruling party TDP but this time, he is keen on asking his share for supporting. Pawan is interested to ask 25 MLA seats and 2 MP seats for Janasena in order to continue his support. For now, this is merely a speculation from known sources and an official confirmation is awaited. Pawan declared that he will contest from Anantapur and his followers want him to keep up his word.

Political analysts say that forming an alliance with TDP is better than YSRCP as he cannot make his Party to contest all the constituencies for 2019. But for 2024, he along with all his candidates will fight for all the places in both the Telugu states.

‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’, is what our teachers, parents and our elders might have taught us while we were little kids. The same is true in every day’s life. But not everyone whom we think as friends, are really our friends. Similarly, though we perceive someone as an enemy, then end up becoming friends.

Same is the situation of TDP and YSRCP in the case of BJP. TDP went into an alliance with BJP, just before the 2014 AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, YSRCP went alone into the elections. As expected, results came in favor of TDP – BJP alliance, and many thought their ‘friendship’ will be a boon to the state. Things exactly turned out to be opposite. A situation has come where TDP has declared BJP as its enemy.

Soon, things on YSRCP side turned the other way. YSRCP leaders and YS Jagan never publicly expressed their animosity towards BJP or Modi. But they took a dig at the Centre indirectly at times. With TDP moving away from BJP, YSRCP is closely inching toward the saffron party. Likewise, all of a sudden, the CBI started giving a clean chit to YS Jagan and his companies in many cases.Political analysts feel that, if YSRCP strikes a deal with BJP, YS Jagan will be free from his cases. Only time will tell, YS Jagan can be saved, given his proximity to BJP.

TDP Ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju And Y.S. Chowdary Resign

Posted [relativedate] at [relativetime time_format=”H:i”]

After Arun Jaitley’s episode, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has taken a tough decision. The TDP party president, Chandrababu Naidu made a key announcement during a late night press meet held on Mach 7th. He stated that his party members, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary will resign from their respective cabinet ministry portfolios.

Likewise, both Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary submitted their resignation letter to Prime Minister Modi, in his official residence. Though they had to submit their resignation letters in the morning, PM Modi was unavailable, as he was in Rajasthan.

After meeting PM Modi, and submitting their resignations, the ministers spoke to the media in New Delhi yesterday. Sujana Chowdary said, ‘the PM received us well. The Centre and the State Governments are working closely to find a solution for the existing problems. All that we want is the Centre to fulfill the promises made in the AP Bifurcation act.’

‘We resigned on the directives of our party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu. India became the fastest growing nation in Aviation industry in the past few years. The PM was really happy the way we have contributed and handled our responsibilities. Let us all hope, things get solved very soon’, said Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Andra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu Gone Mad

A famous philosopher once said, ‘There are no homicides in politics, there are only suicides’. For the time being, this philosophy rightly suits Chandrababu & Team. Despite the Centre’s clear stance on not granting Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh, everyone is quite puzzled with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s soft stance.

After Arun Jaitley held the controversial press meet last evening, many political analysts thought that TDP would definitely walk out of NDA and BJP alliance at the Centre and the State. Shockingly, Chandrababu’s late night press meet did not go that way.

In fact, CBN’s latest comments only fueled the on-going speculations about ‘backdoor meetings’ between BJP’s key leaders and Chandrababu, for personal gains. Frankly, Chandrababu’s behavior not only shocked the Telugu people and the state media, but also shocked the National media, and state BJP leaders.

Many believe that, if Chandrababu Naidu is committing a grave mistake by not bidding goodbye to BJP, amidst the latest political developments. If CBN chooses to continue similar attitude in times coming by, he is surely handing over the advantage to YS Jagan, and Pawan Kalyan partially.

YS Jagan took ‘media classes’ to ABN and Andhra Jyothy reporters today morning before he began addressing the press. The YSRCP Supremo organized for an early press meet, given Chandrababu’s late night ‘press-address’.

Before starting his speech, YS Jagan asked the reporters about their whereabouts. Two reporters stated that they came from ABN and Andhra Jyothy media houses. Immediately, YS Jagan went on to say, ‘you both shouldn’t have come for this press meet. We already informed your media houses (ABN and Andhra Jyothy) not to send their reporters for our (YSRCP) press-meets. You all very well know about the ongoing court cases going on between me and ABN, Andhra Jyothy.

Anyways, you have come here. It is ok for this time. But from next time, make sure you don’t.’

The reporters had no face-off, after being outrightly targeted. What’s worst was, the whole episode took place during the live telecast. Things did not end there. Jagan criticized that few media sections are glorifying Chandrababu Naidu and TDP for their personal gains.

It looks like Jagan has forgotten about his own media, Sakshi, and how he was glorified during ‘Operation Akarsh’ in the past.

AP State Cabinet Ministers Kamineni Srinivas Rao and Manikyala Rao have resigned from their portfolios today morning. Both the BJP leaders met AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in CM’s office and handed over their resignation letter.

Chandrababu said, ‘During the four years, you both worked efficiently’ while they submitted their resignations. This move was called for, after Chandrababu’s late night press meet, and the CM’s decision to withdraw from the NDA alliance at the Centre.

Before the BJP leaders met the CM and interesting conversation place between them and Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao. When Ganta Srinivas Rao asked Manikyala Rao, should he congratulate or express sympathy? Manikyala Rao stated, he should be congratulated. Answering to the TDP MLAs at the Assembly, Kamineni said that, ‘we are happy to resign from the ministries. Both entry and exit from politics should be equally respectful.’

While this is one side of the coin, on the flip side, the resignation letter submitted by Kamineni Srinivas to the Speaker gave way to controversy. The minister showed his letter to the media representatives before submitting it to the speaker. Instead of having a single liner that ‘he is resigning’, the letter had 3 paragraphs, detailing about his resignation.

2 TDP Ministers To Resign From Union Cabinet Today

Political equations at the Centre have drastically changed with a single press meet from Arun Jaitley. In his press, the Finance Minister said, ‘Andhra Pradesh will not be granted Special Category Status. Sentiments cannot increase monetary funds for the state. National security is also very important to us’.

Reacting on this, Chandrababu Naidu who addressed a late night press meet last evening, condemned the remarks made by Arun Jaitley. The AP CM went on to say, ‘everyone including the Centre played tantrums when it came to doing justice to Andhra Pradesh. I pretty well know what to do in the coming future.

How can Arun Jaitley compare the sentiment of Telugu people with Tamilians and Kannadigas? We have been patient enough for the past four years and realized that there is no point of waiting for more.

After exiting from NDA, we will go to the public and will explain to them what the Centre has done. The benefit of the Telugu people is most important than any posts and national politics. Both Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdhury will resign to their respective Cabinet Ministries.’

In his speech, he shot bullets at his alliance partners BJP and TDP for their dual stand and unaccountability towards AP. The ruling party of Andhra Pradesh TDP is working hard to win the trust of AP people in order to win the upcoming elections. So it is using the fact of being in power to the maximum which is getting ridiculed by political analysts.

Going into the details, the TDP Government has introduced its budget of the AP state for its last year in the term. The Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has presented the budget in AP Assembly leaving the Oppositions in shell shock. The TDP used to allocate a budget of one lakh crores or more in the last 4 years of its ruling. For the first time, it hiked the budget knowing that this is the last one in their kitty.

The Budget of AP soared to 2 lakhs crores which is almost double to last year’s amount. Finance Minister said that the TDP Government is very interested in the development of the state so it increased funds in Public sectors, Agriculture, Industry, Pension Schemes, Health, and safety etc. Along with these, the Government is releasing huge funds to BC, SC, ST and other minorities. So all the Government Institutions will be filled with surplus amounts and grants will get paid without any delay.

As the common people are expressing their surprise with the budget, Oppositions slam the Govt that it is badly utilizing State’s funds. They question TDP for this huge hike in the budget is a part of their election tactics. Political analysts declare that this budget is not AP State’s budget but TDP’s Election campaigning fund to attract voters. They allege TDP of luring voters to win 2019 elections with Government schemes as they fail to win the trust in Special Category Status fight against the Centre. Janasena is yet to respond to this announced budget.

The questions from Arun has not only shell-shocked our TDP Parliamentarians but also left them without any clue of answering. Jaitley directly asked TDP MPs the reason for rejecting Special Category Status for Special Package in the past. On the same note, he asked if the AP TDP who didn’t raise any objection in the past is now demanding for some packages which are not easy to grant. The Union Finance Minister made it very clear that the Special Category Status shall not be given to AP as they have already given the same to 10 backward states. Upon Arun’s merciless answer, MP’s tried to request him for slashing GST rates and Industrial incentives for which the latter rudely rejected. From then onwards, the budget for each fiscal year has been on the uptrend and is now crossing the Rs 2 Lakh crore mark in the fourth year.

Close sources confirmed that the TDP government is likely to allocate surplus funds to Employment Schemes, various Pensions, Irrigation Projects, and social welfare programs. Strategically, the government is likely to pay a monthly amount for the unemployed youth. This is also one of the key points in TDP’s 2014 manifesto.

Rs 24,000 crores are likely to be allotted for the Irrigation projects in the state. Overall, the 2018-2019 AP State Budget can be termed as an ‘Election Budget’.
