Prostitution is considered against the law in India. The recent arrest of a TV artist in a star hotel in Hyderabad on the charges of prostitution has created waves in the society. The police nabbed her with precise planning and execution. They also took the person who is managing her contacts. But interestingly, the police ignored the ‘man’ who was with the heroine during the raid.

The alleged TV actress who is caught in prostitution now claims that ‘if I was caught in a police raid, where is the man who was with me? asked the actress.

Prostitution has indeed turned out to be a secondary income for many people. In police raids, most of the woman caught are usually married. Close relatives of the woman hint the police about their illegal activities. In such cases, only the man’s name comes out.

In the same regard, a PIL has been filed in the apex court of India. The Apex court [Supreme Court] also questioned the Centre on to why only the name of the woman or man comes out during a police raid, and why not both their names?

It is really sad to see such kind of an atmosphere in the current society. If blamed, both the sexes should be equally blamed for carrying out or being a part of prostitution.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on his counterpart Donald Trump to thank him for a CIA tip that helped foil a major terror attack in St. Petersburg, the White House said on Monday.

If not for the information provided by the US, Russian authorities would not able to capture the terrorists plotting an attack that could have killed large numbers of people, the White House said in a readout of Sunday’s call.

There was a similar readout by the Kremlin which said the information given by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) played a crucial role which allowed Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) to arrest the accused plotting a suicide bombing in the city’s crowded areas.

“Trump respected the call from Putin and told him the entire US intelligence community were pleased to have helped save so many lives,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said.

Trump stressed the prominence of intelligence sharing to overthrow the terrorists. It is understood, that the two leaders agreed that this serves as an example of the positive thing that can occur when the nations work together. Putin also thanked CIA and its director Mike Pompeo. “Trump called Director Pompeo to commend him, his very talented people, and the entire intelligence community on a job well done!” the White House said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hails from the state of Gujarat. He was a key leader in the Gujarat state BJP party before the onset of the year 2000. From thereon, there was no turning back for BJP and Modi in Gujarat. Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat after BJP won the 1998 elections with 117 seat-majority. Post that, Modi resigned in July 2002 on account of the 2002 Godhra communal riots. Modi came back to power with thumping majority in the re-elections. Since then, he held the post of the Chief Minister of Gujarat until he again resigned on May 21st, 2014 after then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee announced Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India.

BJP continued its victorious streak in Gujarat Assembly elections in 1998, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2012 and now in 2017. The latest victory of BJP in Gujarat elections meant that the party had a 6-time winning streak.

Apart from BJP in Gujarat, only the left in West Bengal has the greatest winning streak. Along with the Left Front, Jyoti Basu of CPI held the post of Chief Minister of West Bengal for 5 consecutive terms, with a record 23 years and 137 days at the office. After Jyoti Basu, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya from the CPI (along with Left Front) held the office for 2 more terms. In total, the CPI (along with the Left Front) formed the government 7 consecutive times in West Bengal until it was taken over by Mamata Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) in 2011 elections.

Police in Toronto said the death of Barry Sherman and his wife who were found dead in the north Toronto mansion on Friday, Dec 16, are suspicious as they did not find any forced entry into the mansion nor an outstanding suspect.

Police said they were investigating the deaths as suspicious.

It looks like a homicide, the detectives interfere now in the investigation of the deaths of billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife after autopsies showed they died from “ligature neck compression”.

The police released a statement on Sunday giving the reason for the death. They also recognized pharmaceutical magnate Sherman and his wife, Honey, as the two people found dead in a north Toronto mansion on Friday.

Police did not find any signs of forced entry and there was no outstanding suspect they were looking for, hence they called the deaths suspicious. Mr. Barry Sherman was the founder of Canadian pharmaceutical giant Apotex.

While, the Sherman family issued an official statement on Saturday, requesting the police to conduct a “thorough, intensive and objective criminal investigation” into the deaths and also urged the media not to indulge in speculation on the cause of the deaths.

Sakshi New Channel has given an unmatched coverage during the Kapu reservation. The new channel tried to elevate the Kapu community leader Mudragada as much as possible. It is no wonder that any news pertaining to Kapu movement and Mudragada had special coverage. Later, Sakshi literally ignored any news about Kapu reservation or Kapu movement after CM Chandra Babu Naidu announced of 5% special reservation to the Kapu community.

Within days of that announcement from the CM, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan attacked YS Jagan and YSRCP. Jagan, who seemed to be composed by not attacking or alleging Janasena, lost his cool and started attacking Pawan Kalyan and Janasena party. Immediately Sakshi news channel changed its tone and it too started attacking Pawan and Janasena. This not only damaged Jagan’s image but also distanced himself from the Kapu community votes.

Realizing this, Jagan changed his strategies. In an internal party meeting, it was heard that Jagan advised the party members to be vocal about ‘Backward Caste’. Jagan also reportedly directed his party members to start attacking Pawan Kalyan and project him like a mere ‘actor’ and not a serious ‘politician.’ Roja comments in recent times are an example of that strategy.

But political analysts feel that Jagan’s strategies to overcome Pawan Kalyan would ultimately fail.

With the technological revolution in smartphone technology and data services, accessing information has never been much easier. ‘Digitization’ was one of the key elements in PM Modi 2014 election campaigning.

Now, the TTD [Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam] had taken a major step in digitalization. Government-backed rest houses are available at just Rs.50 on Tirumala. The actor’s father, Chandrasekhar called the offerings by devotees to Lord Venkateswara as ‘bribery’. The incident took place in Chennai in the month of November. ‘During a speech at a local event, Vijay’s father stated that ‘offerings in Tirupati are nothing but bribery,’ said a person close to the matter.

Referring these comments, an individual named VG Narayan of ‘Hindu Munnani’, [a religious and cultural organization] Chennai, filed a petition in the Madras High Court. In his petition, he requested the court to direct the Greater Chennai Police to file a case on Chandrasekhar for his controversial comments. ‘The comments made by Chandrasekhar are not welcomed. They are hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindus,’ said VG Narayan.

In this regard, the Madrasa High Court responded. It directed the Greater Chennai police to register a case after verifying the evidence.

Garikapati said, he made all plans and prepared himself to attend the prestigious event having received an invitation to participate.

Nevertheless, he explained to why he abstained from it. He said he changed his plan at the last minute after knowing that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu was not invited to the event. He gave the reason that he was deeply hurt with his state CM and leader not being invited to such a prominent event and said he voluntarily backed off.

He reminded how both the states are moving forward keeping their differences aside. He expressed shock as to why KCR government did not extend their invitation to Naidu. Keeping in mind that the event is about Telugu Conference and it is Telugu tradition, it would only have been fair for CM Naidu to receive an invitation.

It is heard that people are gossiping, apart from this one incident everything went well and brought good name to KCR. This small gesture would have brought more name and fame to KCR than what he got now.

In a most shocking turnout of events, a Police Constable aimed his fully loaded rifle at the senior Congress leader, Kamal Nath on Friday. Other Security Personnel of the former Union Minister blocked the leader and overpowered the Constable before it could be too late.

Kamal Nath enjoys Z category security. After attending four public meetings he returned the Chhindwara airstrip in a chopper at around 3:45 pm. At that time, four police personnel were deployed for the security of Kamal Nath’s chartered plane, and Ratnesh Pawar was one of them. He was spotted aiming his loaded rife at the Chhindwara MP. Immediately, rest of the police caught hold of him and took him away from there.

DIG of Chhindwara, GK Pathak, said they have suspended the police constable and ordered a probe to find out if it’s a conspiracy or a mistake. While Ratnesh Pawar claimed, he just shifted his rifle from one shoulder to another and others mistook it. He pleaded his innocence.

Investigations are on and things will come out soon as to who is innocent and who is not, clarified the DIG, while there is no official statement from the Congress leader.
