PM Modi campaigned in Gujarat elections like never before. With all the public rallies and meetings during the campaigning, it looked as if Modi forgot that he is the Prime Minister of India. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi who recently became the president of Indian National Congress gave a tough competition to Modi and BJP in Gujarat.

The exit polls expressed that it would be a cake walk for Modi and BJP in Gujarat assembly elections. But shockingly, the fight between Congress and BJP was neck to neck. It almost seemed as if we are about to witness another political revolution in India.

Rahul Gandhi who has evolved as a strong political leader in recent times was almost successful in swinging the Gujarat election in favour of Congress. One can understand the influence of Rahul Gandhi on Gujarat elections, after the incumbent CM Vijay Rupani, who is contesting from Rajkot west was found trailing in many rounds.

BJP which formed the Central Government with the slogan ‘Development in Gujarat, Development in India’ fell in defence with the Gujarat Elections. Though Rahul Gandhi and Congress have seen defeat in these elections, these elections clearly sent out a strong message to the BJP and PM Modi on the ‘Doom of BJP’ in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

BJP and Congress are like the Cat-Mouse racing in the 68 Member Assembly. BJP is leading in 46 seats, while Congress in 16 seats at 12:15 pm IST. Others could barely manage with just 4 seats.

While, BJP leaders and activists are already celebrating with Gujarat results, as they surpassed the magic figure 35 seats. Severe anti- incumbency resulted in the defeat of the ruling party by a big margin. This is not something the Congress party expected right after Rahul Gandhi took over the reins of the party from his mother.

Inside sources say, that Rahul Gandhi mainly focused on Gujarat Polls to create a wave in favor of Congress by overlooking Himachal Pradesh. This little preference dearly costs the party which they will know once the final results come out. Sakshi New Channel has given an unmatched coverage during the Kapu reservation. The new channel tried to elevate the Kapu community leader Mudragada as much as possible. It is no wonder that any news pertaining to Kapu movement and Mudragada had special coverage. Later, Sakshi literally ignored any news about Kapu reservation or Kapu movement after CM Chandra Babu Naidu announced of 5% special reservation to the Kapu community.

Within days of that announcement from the CM, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan attacked YS Jagan and YSRCP. Jagan, who seemed to be composed by not attacking or alleging Janasena, lost his cool and started attacking Pawan Kalyan and Janasena party. Immediately Sakshi news channel changed its tone and it too started attacking Pawan and Janasena. This not only damaged Jagan’s image but also distanced himself from the Kapu community votes.

Realizing this, Jagan changed his strategies. In an internal party meeting, it was heard that Jagan advised the party members to be vocal about ‘Backward Caste’. Jagan also reportedly directed his party members to start attacking Pawan Kalyan and project him like a mere ‘actor’ and not a serious ‘politician.’ Roja comments in recent times are an example of that strategy.

But political analysts feel that Jagan’s strategies to overcome Pawan Kalyan would ultimately fail.

She even went to the extent of filing a petition and said she is ready to take a DNA verification test prove her claims. In a recent press meet, Amrutha stated that she has been receiving death threats.

The latest news is that Amrutha is seen missing. Yes, the woman who claimed as a daughter of Jayalalithaa has been found missing. Only her near and dear are currently aware of her whereabouts. ‘She is under continuous death threats. She is in incognito mode only to save herself,’ said a close source to her family.

Though many saw Amrutha’s episode as another ‘publicity stunt’, the recent comments from extended-family of Jayalalithaa further strengthen Amrutha’s claims, and which made her a ‘serious watch’. The world is at everyone’s fingertips, thanks to the digital revolution. From what seemed impossible a decade ago, everything seems possible. With the technological revolution in smartphone technology and data services, accessing information has never been much easier. ‘Digitization’ was one of the key elements in PM Modi 2014 election campaigning.

Now, the TTD [Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam] had taken a major step in digitalization. Government-backed rest houses are available at just Rs.50 on Tirumala. But many pilgrims find it difficult to book a slot for them. Similarly, many devotees and pilgrims rely on commission agents and third-party persons for various services on Tirumala.

To eliminate such difficulties, and to make pilgrim’s stay at Tirumala much easier, safer and happier, the TTD has come forward with a unique app called ‘Govinda’. The prestigious Govinda App is created by TCS [Tata Consultancy Services] with the help of various departments of TTD.

The Govinda App would feature 12 inbuilt applications right from booking rest houses, Dakshan tickets and various other services on Tirumala. The app is currently in beta stage and further improvements are in progress. The TTD stated that it also featured one-touch ‘Feedback/Complaint’ form for the pilgrims. Let us hope that ‘Govinda’ App makes our pilgrimage to Govinda much easier and enjoyable.

The actor’s father, Chandrasekhar called the offerings by devotees to Lord Venkateswara as ‘bribery’. The incident took place in Chennai in the month of November. ‘During a speech at a local event, Vijay’s father stated that ‘offerings in Tirupati are nothing but bribery,’ said a person close to the matter.

Referring these comments, an individual named VG Narayan of ‘Hindu Munnani’, [a religious and cultural organization] Chennai, filed a petition in the Madras High Court. In his petition, he requested the court to direct the Greater Chennai Police to file a case on Chandrasekhar for his controversial comments. ‘The comments made by Chandrasekhar are not welcomed. They are hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindus,’ said VG Narayan.

In this regard, the Madrasa High Court responded. It directed the Greater Chennai police to register a case after verifying the evidence.

He reminded how both the states are moving forward keeping their differences aside. He expressed shock as to why KCR government did not extend their invitation to Naidu. Keeping in mind that the event is about Telugu Conference and it is Telugu tradition, it would only have been fair for CM Naidu to receive an invitation.

It is heard that people are gossiping, apart from this one incident everything went well and brought good name to KCR. This small gesture would have brought more name and fame to KCR than what he got now.

In a most shocking turnout of events, a Police Constable aimed his fully loaded rifle at the senior Congress leader, Kamal Nath on Friday. Other Security Personnel of the former Union Minister blocked the leader and overpowered the Constable before it could be too late.

Kamal Nath enjoys Z category security. After attending four public meetings he returned the Chhindwara airstrip in a chopper at around 3:45 pm. At that time, four police personnel were deployed for the security of Kamal Nath’s chartered plane, and Ratnesh Pawar was one of them. He was spotted aiming his loaded rife at the Chhindwara MP. Immediately, rest of the police caught hold of him and took him away from there.

DIG of Chhindwara, GK Pathak, said they have suspended the police constable and ordered a probe to find out if it’s a conspiracy or a mistake. While Ratnesh Pawar claimed, he just shifted his rifle from one shoulder to another and others mistook it. He pleaded his innocence.

Investigations are on and things will come out soon as to who is innocent and who is not, clarified the DIG, while there is no official statement from the Congress leader.

A media person for a news channel cheated and took Rs. 21,000 for darshan and gave them Rs. 300 special entry darshan tickets. TTD vigilance filed a report on a media personnel at two- town police station in Tirumala on Saturday. On receiving a complaint from a pilgrim, Mr. Satish a few days ago, that he was cheated in Tirumala, TTD vigilance made an inquiry and found out that Gopi, a media correspondent for news channel cheated them and took an amount of Rs. 21,000 for Swamy darshan and gave them Rs. 300 special entry darshan tickets.

He did not stop his cheating at it, he also collected more than Rs.20, 000 for a room in Sannidhanam guest house, which has an actual tariff of Rs.7, 100. The vigilance wing officials told, a report was filed in Tirumala two town police station along with the evidence like CCTV footages, verification of bank accounts etc.

The cheater, a media guy also gained by Rs.14,000 earlier by collecting Rs. 1,000 from each pilgrim in the name of tickets at Tirumala Bus Stand. The vigilance officials informed that a criminal action will be taken against him by the Police.

 The trail is going to return on January 10th, 2018 as both defense and prosecution had finished their arguments on Thursday.  It is understood the Chief Magistrate Arbuthnot will pass the ruling within a timeframe. Home Secretary of UK will have to approve Mallya’s extradition order within 2 months if the Judge favors Indian Government. Both Indian Government and Indian will have a chance to appeal to the higher courts in the UK if the verdict in lower court is against them.

 Family members noticed him in an unconscious state and upon noticing forth in his mouth, immediately rushed him to the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital. Doctors who are treating him have assured that his condition is stable and is recovering.

The 42-year-old man, K. Elumalai is the president of Nattukkoru Nallavan Rajni Rasigar Mandram, has said that he decided to end his life as no political announcement was made Rajinikanth on his birthday which was on 12th December.

Aadhaar Case extends deadline until March 31

The Apex Court on Friday agreed with the Centre’s Submissions and set the deadline of linking of Aadhaar card with the bank accounts, mobile numbers, and various other schemes as March 31st, 2018.

A five-judge constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra said the final hearing on the petitions would begin from January 17 next year.  The court earlier had 22 cases tagged and they are to be heard by a smaller bench.

It is a big challenge to these cases, with many aspects of Aadhaar card, including the use of data collected under the Unique Identification Program.

But an Aadhaar holder opening a new bank account will have to furnish his Aadhaar card to the bank ordered on Friday. The extension of the deadline is only for non-Aadhaar holders opening new bank accounts. During the interim, they can furnish their Aadhaar enrollment application to the bank.

YCP Leader Bandi Punyaseela told that Bandla Ganesh had switched off his mobile after making objectionable comments against Roja. If he has guts, he should keep his mobile switch on. What is the need for him to talk about AP Politics? He also reminded the producer, if he forgot the Meera Chopra allegations against him. He asked the producer, had he forgotten the incident where your father touched the feet of Sachin Joshi over the case booked against you? We are demanding him to withdraw the disrespectful comments he made against Roja, he said.

The honesty of Bandla Ganesh was questioned by the Women Wing Leaders while saying Roja carved a niche for herself in the industry by acting in over 100 movies and she is an elected public representative. While the Comedian turned Producer hasn’t made any response so far on the issue.
