SJ Surya’s directorial ‘Kushi’, starring Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika in lead roles released on April 27th, 2001. The movie went on to become an industry hit, rewriting all the previous records. It is after this film, Pawan Kalyan established himself as one of the leading contemporary heroes.

In fact, many believe that ‘Kushi’ is unarguably the best film in Pawan Kalyan’s career after Toliprema. The movie is remembered for the lead pair’s chemistry. Everyone fondly remembers the navel scene which leads into a spat between Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika in the movie.

Celebrating the 17th year of the movie, the movie’s producer AM Ratnam visited Pawan Kalyan in Janasena Office, Hyderabad. He presented a bouquet to the Janasena Chief and reminisced the fond memories of the movie.

Adding to SJ Surya’s writing and direction, Mani Sharma’s melodies boosted the film at the box office. Pawan Kalyan’s mannerisms and charm, coupled with Bhumika’s looks and attitude propelled the movie to create new records. The Telugu version is the remake of the Tamil movie titled ‘Kushi’ directed by SJ Surya and produced by AM Ratnam.

Superstar Mahesh Babu who is riding high on the success of ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ has come down to Vijayawada. The movie is running successfully in all the theatres. To offer their prayers, superstar Mahesh Babu and director Koratala Siva visited Kanaka Durga Temple, Vijayawada. After taking the blessings in the temple, Mahesh Babu watched the movie, ’Bharat Ane Nenu’ along with his fans. Post that, speaking to the media reporters, Mahesh Babu gave clarity about his entry into politics.

‘It is a great feeling visiting Vijayawada. I really feel happy seeing you all. Frankly speaking, I feel that there is a sentimental attachment to the place. In the past, the success meets of Okkadu, Pokiri and Dookudu took place in Vijayawada.

I will spend all my life doing films, but will not enter politics. I once again thank my fans, and audience for making ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ such a big hit’, said Mahesh Babu.Later in the day, he stayed at DV Manor hotel in Vijayawada and spent some time with kids. He also posed for a selfie with kids who had recently undergone heart surgery through an NGO.
