‘Ghazal Srinivas’ a famous Ghazal singer, and who holds a Guinness Record holder for singing Ghazals in the most number of languages, has been arrested on charges of ‘sexual assault’ today morning. The police arrested Srinivas after a woman complained about the singer on the charges of ‘asking sexual favours’ and forcing her to do a body massage.

Speaking to the media representatives, ‘Ghazal’ Srinivas claimed that he is being framed and he hasn’t done anything wrong. ‘I met with an accident recently. My physiotherapist did not come today. The woman who complained against me offered to do a massage. I was reluctant. I told her not required. But she insisted on doing massage. There is no foul play from my end’, said the singer.

But shockingly, the police have rubbished the singer’s claim. A police official involved with the case said, ‘whatever [Ghazal] Srinivas is claiming is absolutely nonsense and rubbish. When we arrest this kind of famous people, we take extreme caution. The woman submitted audio and video recordings. Only after examining and verifying them, we took Srinivas into custody.

Ghazal Srinivas also said that he has no ill intention of that woman even in his dreams. The woman has been working as a Radio Jockey in Srinivas’ own company.

The expectations on Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film ‘Agnathavasi’ are sky high. The film is directed ‘dialogue wizard’ Trivikram Srinivas. ‘Agnathavasi’ is slated to release on January 10th in India, and on January 9th, 12:00 noon in the US. The film which completed its shooting recently, also completed the censor formalities yesterday. The film received a U/A Certificate as expected.

With ‘Agnathavasi’ being the 25th film in Pawan Kalyan’s career, there are high expectations for the film. Fans and Telugu Film Industry has been eagerly waiting for the censor report. Post the screening and issuance of the certificate, the censor board applauded the film.

The censor board officials stated that ‘Agnathavasi’ is so far Trivikram’s best film off-the-record. A couple of censor board members also stated that the film will become a sensational hit.

‘Just like Baahubali, Agnathavasi is bound to create history in Telugu Cinema history. Given Pawan Kalyan’s performance and Trivikram’s direction, the film has come out as a visual spectacle,’ said a censor board member.

He is a famous anchor on the small screen and recently he was caught red-handed during the drunken drive check at Jubilee Hills Road No 45 on January 1st. At around 2:50 am, his car was stopped by the Traffic Police who were on a special patrol. When he was asked for Breath analyzer test, he initially denied but later he had to agree to the test to be conducted. The blood alcohol content stood at 178-mark. Whereas, the permissible limit was just 35. Anchor Pradeep’s car was seized on the spot and a case had been registered.

Recently, a video featuring the anchor Pradeep has gone viral on the social network. Netizens have been trolling the anchor since yesterday with satires like – ‘Neethulu Cheppina Valle Gothilo paddaru’.

The police say the anchor will be given counseling in the presence of his family members. He is most likely going to serve a two to a ten-day jail term or pay a hefty fine to come out on bail.

On New Year eve, as many 2,499 cases were filed in Hyderabad city. Thousands of violators who broke the rules and norms were taken into custody. Police stations in the city have been appearing like automobile showrooms due to a huge number of seized vehicles. The cases of these people will come up for hearing today.

With its reputation and historical importance, Governments of Goa and Maharashtra competed to bring the Warship to their states to make it a major tourist attraction. While Andhra Pradesh Government managed it quite well and emerged victorious to convince center in the end.

On the occasion of New Year eve, this year, record sales of Alcohol worth Rs.230 crore has been sold out in the state of Andhra Pradesh. In AP state, the liquor outlets sell Rs.40 crore worth of alcohol, per day on an average. Bizarrely, on 31st alone, the sales have gone up to Rs.230 crore.

Liquor stock worth Rs. 468.29 crores, has been shifted from depots to shops from December 26th to 31st. There is a 12.96 percent increase to what it is in 2016. 50 percent of the stock that is shifted to shops from December 26th has been sold out by 31st itself.

The Beer sales have increased while liquor sales came down in comparison to the last year. In the year 2016, December, 10, 59,960 liquor cases and 3, 52,540 beer cases were sold out. In 2017, December, 9, 02,289 liquor cases and 4, 66,802 beer cases have been sold out.

Alone in Krishna and Guntur districts, a Rs.102.38 crore of Liquor got sold from Dec 26th to 31st. On 31st of December alone, around Rs.50 crore worth Alcohol has been sold out in Capital Region.
