Veteran Actress Jamuna Is The First Heroine Of Hyderabad!

The greatest competitor to the yesteryear actress Mahanati Savithri is none other than Jamuna. She is born in Hampi and raised in Tenali and Duggirala and she has grown up into a beautiful girl who was advised by none other than Savithri to join the films.

In her recent interview on the TV, the 81-year-old Jamuna shared so many interesting things in her connection with the city Hyderabad. She started her career at the age of 16, to become a heroine through the movie “Puttillu” in the year 1952. She later acted in almost 200 films. Talking about Film Industry in Hyderabad, she stated that she is the first heroine of this city. We all wonder how, so let’s take a look at it.

There is also a famous belief that the Telugu Film Industry moved to Hyderabad big time after Akkineni established Annapurna Studios in the year 1975.But it first came through Sarathi Studios that was established here in 1959. Their first film to be shot here is “Ma Inti Mahalakshmi” and I’m the heroine in the movie, she says. Produced by Gangadhara Rao, she says she acted in another two films pellikani pillars and Jalsarayudu here. So in that way, I’m the first heroine to come to Hyderabad though it was jungle here back then, said Jamuna.

Even at the time of the pre-release event of ‘MCA’, the producer slipped his tongue when the crowd was making loud noise disturbing him in his speech. That’s when Nani behaved sensibly and took the responsibility to control the damage done by Dil Raju and he indeed became successful in doing so.

Initial reports showed the movie ‘MCA’ opened to negative reviews and gave an impression that producer Dil Raju will not be able to fulfill his dream of achieving a double hat-trick in 2017.While Nani pulled off a miracle. It was beyond anyone’s expectations to see the revenues of Day 1 of their Movie ‘MCA’. A worldwide share of Rs.9.55 crores would have been near to impossible without Natural Star. After Ram Gopal Varma, he is one of the gutsiest and bold directors to portray bold content on the screen. He is none other than Puri Jagannadh, who is also a student to RGV is without any doubt the most wanted guys in the film industry. It is the first time, we can see the director is coming up with a short film, which is titled as ‘HUG’.

The makers of the short film have released the first look of the poster. This is trending and going viral on social media. The poster shows a woman hugging a tree is completely nude from the backside. Looks like the short film revolves around environment and humans. The inside information is that the lead role is played by a Kathak dancer, who hails from Russia but living in Hyderabad. Her name is Katerina Krivenko and we can see she is doing a very important character in the short film.

The director shared the poster on the social media, as, “My first short film ‘HUG’ shall be released on 31st Dec 2017 at 10 am, get ready for this one.” Though Puri didn’t reveal much about the film, it is produced by Puri himself under Puri connects banner. The music for the short film is composed by Sandeep Chowta and the editing is done by Junaid Siddiqui, while Anil Paduri took the responsibilities of visual effects.

Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi took the first place, while the magnum opus film Baahubali (The Conclusion) stood in the second place. On Thursday, Former Cricketer, legend Sachin Tendulkar extended his desire to deliver his first speech in Rajya Sabha over the issue on the future of sports in India. However, members of Congress created ruckus seeking an apology from PM Modi for making allegations on Ex-PM Manmohan Singh by linking with Pakistan, in the process did not allow the master blaster to deliver his speech. This resulted in the adjournment of The Upper House till 11 am yesterday.

When the session began Sachin Tendulkar got ready to speak in the Upper House, while Congress MP’s disrupted the proceedings with loud slogans. Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu expressed his anguish on opposition MP’s for not allowing Sachin to speak.

Congress MP Renuka Chowdary slammed the ruling party and didn’t even spare Sachin in the process of defending the stand taken by her party. She lamented saying, Bharat Ratna is not a license for speaking in the Parliament. Sachin was nominated to the Upper House in the UPA tenure itself. He hardly attended the House Proceedings. Only out of 348 days sessions he attended 23 times. Why is BJP making a hue and cry when a member didn’t get the opportunity to speak?

‘I and Savithri are very close to each other. I used to call her Akka (elder sister). She got addicted to drinking towards the end of her life. I, Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, Nagi Reddy, Chakrapani have intervened in her marriage and advised her not to. But she still went ahead. Post that, she came to my son’s ‘Barasala’ function. She hugged me and cried that day. I consoled her and gave her moral support.

I told her, Akka you know what kind of a man he is [referring to her husband, Gemini Ganesan]. So don’t try to think about him anymore. Try to forget the past and move ahead. Your two kids are your life.By that time, itself, Savithri Akka has lost a lot of money due to thefts and robberies. Many people deceived her. I visited her while she was in Kodaikanal. I advised her, ‘Akka listen to me. Sell your house and take a fixed deposit of one crore. You will once again lead the high-life that you led in the past.’

Shortly after that, she went into a coma. Then Andhra Pradesh CM Anjaiah garu, even arranged medical assistance for Savithri garu in the US on my request. But the doctors said it was too late by then,’ said Jamuna.

Controversial Astrologer Venu Swamy yesterday was present in one of the noted Telugu news channel. He reportedly left the debate halfway stage announcing, “I don’t know Astrology, Don’t believe what I say!” This news is trending now and has gone viral on Social media.

Babu Gogineni who made a surprise entry into the live debate found fault with Venu Swamy. He didn’t agree with major predictions and statement made by Venu Swamy.  He went on to accuse that the astrologer is gaining publicity using morphed pictures. The Photo of Venu Swamy with PM Modi was found to be morphed and Babu Gogineni says when he enquired at the PMO office, they denied any such meeting with the astrologer. After this got exposed, Venu Swamy removed all those fake photos and threatened me alleges a TDP member.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is undoubtedly the most awaited cricketing event annually. It is not surprising to know that IPL gathers more TRP than the prestigious ICC World Cup event. The ‘rich’ cricket league features teams as franchises, which are represented by Indian domestic players, Indian National players and international players. The IPL started in 2008 has already completed 10 years and is racing ahead.

Trying to replicate the same model, many test cricketing nations started hosting their own Cricket leagues. Few of them have been marginally successful. None of these leagues is even close to IPL in terms of the fanfare, crowd turnouts, sponsorship rights and money involved.

Even the South African cricket board, Cricket South Africa (CSA) planned a T20 cricket league called ‘T20 Global League’. The board wanted to host the inaugural T20 tournament starting from 3rd November 2017 to 16th December 2017. Given the financial constraints, a low bid by the broadcaster and title sponsor, CSA has forced to call-off the T20 league for this year.

If CSA hosts the T20 Global League in 2017, it could result in a loss close to Rs. 160 crores. Realizing this, the board took the decision to call off the tournament for this year. A loss of Rs. 90 crores has incurred to the board, as it has already paid the players, and for arrangements of the league.

The latest buzz is that he once again made controversial comments about ‘piracy’ in the film industry. Katthi Mahesh said that few people within the film industry itself are responsible for the piracy virus to spread. In his post, Katthi Mahesh said, ‘With personal rivalries, many are pirating the movies of their rival in the film industry. Piracy is definitely an inside job.’

On analyzing his statement, it is clear that Katthi Mahesh is referring to the ‘fan wars’ and claiming that someone in the industry is helping them in pirating.

Though it is unclear whether Katthi Mahesh’s comments are true or not, the film circles have expressed their anger on his recent comments. It is heard that few people from the film industry also warned Katthi Mahesh and advised him not to create a rift in the industry by blowing this out of proportion.

The death mystery of former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Jayalalithaa is getting murkier as the investigating commission in the incident has now summoned her close aide VK Sasikala as well as Apollo Hospital Chairman Pratap Reddy on Friday. The court asked them to file documents in relation to the death of Jayalalithaa within 15 days.

The government of Tamilnadu has organized a Commission of Inquiry that is headed by former Madras High Court Judge A. Arumughaswamy, to probe the circumstances and incidents that led to the death of Jayalalithaa. The summoning of Sasikala and Apollo Chairman by the commission comes in the wake of a video supposedly showing Jayalalithaa in a hospital appeared on the internet recently. It is to note that the video came into the picture just a day ahead of the RK Nagar by-poll elections on December 21.

The former Chief Minister and AIDMK supremo have spent 75 days in the Apollo hospital before breathing her last on December 5th last year. There are many reports of people raising doubts about the suspicious death, which included even the deputy chief minister Pannerselvam.

From the time, people tasted demonetization effect, they are not only stunned but are very alert and watching every move made by the Government.

It is known to all, that recently, Union government proposed a new bill- Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance (FRDI) Bill 2017. A major number of people still have no idea about what the bill is all about and what impact it will have, but some messages are circulating on Facebook and WhatsApp seem to have persuaded them to believe that government will use the people’s money deposited in banks.

Several reports are coming that people are flocking to banks and are withdrawing their entire deposited amounts in fear of this new bill. Though the bank managers trying their best to convince them, account holders are apparently seen arguing that they will once again deposit the money in the bank if the circulating reports turn out to be rumors. Just to quote one case, an enormous amount of Rs.6 crore was withdrawn from two banks in Warangal district this week itself.

In the meantime, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday spoke in the Lok Sabha that govt. will protect all the depositors’ money in public sector banks and there was no need to get panicked. The bill is presently in parliament being analyzed by a joint parliamentary committee.

Given the people’s wish, Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah wanted to officially celebrate Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary. As soon as this announcement came out, the BJP leader alleged Siddaramaiah that he is doing vote-bank politics.

Soon, the UP CM Yogi Adityanath joined the frame and furiously stated that ‘how can we celebrate the birth anniversary of someone like Tipu Sultan on the land where the greatest devotee of Lord Rama, Hanuman was born’. This not only shocked everyone but once again stood out as an example to what extent BJP can go and create ‘communal politics’.
