But actress Sri Reddy who is the latest YouTube sensation made highly offensive and controversial remarks on the director. She literally called him a night watchman (Ghoorkha) and claimed that he used to roam near her house.

Reacting on the star allegations passed by Sri Reddy, Sekhar Kammula stated that, he will pursue legal action on the actress if she doesn’t take back her statements. ‘I have never seen her nor spoke to her. Her behavior is highly unacceptable. If she doesn’t apologize publicly and take back her statements, I will even take a legal action on her. Will bring out who is behind this’, said Sekhar Kammula.While Sri Reddy is having a lot of fun making allegations, few are feeling the heat of her comments.

Many people who might have followed music shows on various Telugu TV Channels might be aware of Folk Singer Siva Nagulu. The folk singer is quite a famous for his unique voice and his dialect. Many believe that he breathes life into his songs. Only very few people know that Siva Nagulu sang the song ‘Gattununtava’ from Rangasthalam movie.

But the theatrical version has Devi Sri Prasad’s vocals for the song. Upon the movie’s release, Siva Nagulu expressed dissatisfaction and felt bad for the whole episode. He publicly stated that Rangasthalam team should have informed him before replacing his vocals.

Rangasthalam director Sukumar responded to these comments. Sukumar said, ‘at the time of posturizing this song, Siva Nagulu has not recorded the song. We used DSPs vocals while posturizing it. After the song has been shot, and Siva Nagulu recorded the song, there was no lip synchronization.

That is the reason we had to use Devi Sri Prasad’s vocals. Apart from it, there is nothing else. This is because of technical reasons than anything else. Even now, it is Siva Nagulu’s voice that is featuring on Rangasthalam album’. It is nice to Sukumar coming forward and explaining the whole thing.

In one of our feature articles, we have clearly explained how dangerous the digital rights are for the film industry. In a move that could set an example for future films, Rangasthalam makers have dictated the terms of release for the movie on a digital platform, Amazon Video.

Amazon Video secured the digital rights of Rangasthalam movie for a whopping sum of Rs 18 crores. Usually, when a big ticket films release, Amazon Video put them on online within three weeks. Even Nani’s MCA – Middle-Class Abbayi is not an exception to it. But this time around, Rangasthalam makers have dictated terms to Amazon.

With the movie faring well at the box office, given its raw and authentic feel coupled with excellent performances and story. Trade analysts expect that Rangasthalam will have repeat audience. Keeping this in mind, the makers of Rangasthalam asked Amazon not to release the film on their digital platform; Amazon Video, before 50 days from the date of the release of the film.

The same has been shared by the producers in a press release. Which means, Rangasthalam can be only available on Amazon Video after May 20th. Trade analysts believe that, if the same measures are taken for every film, producers and distributors will be saved, even if the movie doesn’t perform that great at the box office.
